    Gabbana resting as she should

I would say the recent reviews scared me from making an appointment but since my dog had been a puppy we've always made vet visits at dtacc. She went in for a spay on Monday and hasn't had any issues it's now been 2 days and she's back to normal and her incision is healing well! They keep up with how your pup is doing by contacting you first to see if you have any updates and that also reassured me they're great handlers ! The tech was super sweet w my nervous girl and even though my pup got a little nippy towards the end they did let me know everything that happened over all great experience. I gave 4 stars because it just smelled a little funny lol

This vet was recommended by a friend. The prices seemed good for a spay and we were looking for a new veterinary clinic. We arrived early for drop off at 8am. At 2:00 pm Downtown called us to tell us our dog's heart was racing and they needed testing first. 300.00 and an hour later, they told us the initial testing was normal, but that we needed more testing by a cardiologist before they would work on her. We picked her up and she was a MESS - true fear in her eyes! She couldn't wait to get out of there. She calmed down the minute we were out the door. Our dog is a young healthy 2 yr old Rottweiler who has NEVER had this reaction at a vet, and never had any physical issues. What a scary place! Employees were curt and matter of fact - no empathy or compassion in their voices or mannerism. We took our girl to South Platte Veterinary. What a totally different experience! Happy, informative people at the desk, a quick flawless surgery that healed perfectly. We found our new vet home. Please reconsider taking your pet to Downtown. I've lived in Denver all my life and have never had such a bad experience at an animal clinic.

It is criminal that this clinic allowed Denkai Animal Sanctuary to spay and neuter my 11 foster puppies at 6-8 weeks old. I don't know what kind of sick financial arrangement this Clinic had with Denkai, but they played along and it happened. And now, the sweet puppies that did get s/n at 6-8 weeks, that didn't have an adopter fighting back against Tara taking their genitals (and had to pay her extra to agree to foster-to-adopt - three boys and three girls) At about 10 months old now, those exact puppies are having developmental issues... Mainly, their little legs aren't developing properly. And they are nearly half the size of the puppies that didn't get s/n. Several of them have had broken bones And have needed surgery (Ruby, Spruce and Aspen to be exact -- for the Denkai rep that emailed all my adopters after I left this review - not because Denkai gives a s*^# - but were trying to gather evidence against this review). I am beyond furious about it. I Can't sleep at night anymore, and I'm not sure how the vet that did the procedures sleeps at night either -I'm horrified that this clinic allowed the rescue to bully me into doing it. Downright Criminal. I called the front desk of Downtown Animal Care Center and asked them when they recommend spaying/neutering puppies, and their exact answer was " Usually six months or older." Im shocked that there are any positive reviews for this clinic anyway because it is dingy, dirty, and they totally misdiagnosed other litter problems that we had. Instead of paying someone to reply to Negative reviews here, asking customers to call the clinic to discuss their horrific experiences, maybe they should hire an integrity control person. And stop exploiting animals that have no rights for financial gain.

How much do the charge for cat vaccinations not at the clinic? Do you have to get a wellness checkup too?

The prices of all vaccines are listed on our website. The price of the vaccine depends on which vaccine your cat needs. Monday-Saturday there is a $15 nurses fee on top of the cost of vaccines. If you want an annual check up, it is $40 for the exam…

Standard with all adoptions from the DFL is a paid-for visit to a veterinarian.. they provided a list of clinics near me, GoodVets - GT was the closest. They got me in the next day. Monty & I arrived to the location, the staff was incredibly friendly & the good boy enjoyed several treats & pets from everyone. Unfortunately, the infection in his mouth was still present and I was told that he would need a couple of medications to finish it off as well as several vaccines. They provided several different options for Monty's vaccines at different price levels, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't have the funds at the time for the medications he needed for the infection in his mouth, let alone any of the vaccinations. I went home bummed out about the fact that I couldn't get Monty what he needed. I got a call later that day from GoodVets, and they had gotten in touch with the DFL, who provides a voucher that covers up to $250 for shelter related illnesses, so it paid for the cost of Montgomery's medications. Earlier this morning, I stopped in and grabbed the meds. Thank you, GoodVets - Golden Triangle for treating & ensuring that Montgomery, got the meds he needed. I genuinely appreciated that. Pros: Location, staff is A+, but the fact that they went through the extra effort to get Monty what he needed was what made me truly happy with the place. I made myself a reminder in my notes to give an honorable mention to Alex at the front desk, who was not only very nice but also incredibly helpful in regard to scheduling as well as any questions I had. A+ communication. I had also told myself that I would mention the Vet Tech who saw Monty, however her name alludes me now.

Well, it isn't up to me is it, because I'm not a vet, haven't studied animal health and have to be able to trust your recommendations. Which i clearly can't. Nick's departure from DC was devastating to me and my roommate and our dogs. The boys rebelled when Nick moved back to TX. Charlie's beagle instincts would lead him to eat junk off the ground so he regulary had to go to the vet. When Charlie had health issues, Nick would ask about how his buddy was doing (even on weekends and late hours) and reassure me that he would watch over him when they were together. More recently, I had to go out of town unexpectedly for work and Nick switched his schedule around so that he could watch Charlie. He really went above and beyond to help us. First- 2 visits ago they had him listed as a 2 year old. He's been going there 3 years so it's not possible for him to age backwards. Plus they have his file scanned from his adoption showing his birthdate. I informed them he was 6. My most recent visit I see on his file that he is now 4. I crossed it out and changed it again back to 6. The reason this is serious to me is because they keep referencing his age when analyzing his conditions and saying blah blah "for such a young cat." But he's not 2. Or 4. He's 6. And his name also is not Oliver... I went in on a Monday and had bloodwork done. They were supposed to call the next day with results but didn't. And not the next day either. His vet had gotten sick and called out and it would've been under her specific file to call me, but given I had called inquiring I feel a different professional should've been able to at least convey the results to me more quickly. Finally, today I dropped him off at 7:45 for an ultrasound. I had been under the impression and told that it would occur between 9-12. I just called and the tech didn't even get there until after 11. Now he has to sit there for a bit longer and I had been counting down minutes to get his results. I loved this vet and I'm really sad about what's happening there. Not sure if the switched systems or something but normally they, and especially Kim, are super good at communicating and doing everything they can. Now I feel weird leaving him with them because they don't even know his name... age... when the doctor will be there...

They are impossible to contact to schedule lessons, their trainers never showed up for the group lessons, and they blatantly lied to us about the location of those lessons--one of the main reasons we signed up in the first place. Just a couple of weeks ago, we went to attend a group lesson, only to find eight other people waiting as well. The trainer never showed up, and nobody answered the phone to explain or reschedule. In fact, nobody ever answers the phone during business hours. It's beyond frustrating and completely unprofessional. We tried for an entire year to schedule lessons, attend group sessions, and call for assistance, and all we got in return was silence. It's maddening. Now, we're moving out of town and are unable to complete the lessons--not that it would matter, since they're unreachable anyway. While we managed to finish the first five levels of training, after that, everything fell apart. To make matters worse, they refused to take any responsibility for the half of the lessons they failed to deliver. When we asked for a refund for the undelivered services, they outright refused. It's shocking how blatantly they scam their customers, with zero accountability. Save your money and avoid this company at all costs. They will take your money, fail to deliver on their promises, and leave you with empty pockets and a lot of headaches. Absolutely shameful business practices.

ABUSIVE and discriminating!!!…read more I was working with this training company for my ADA service dog. I have a paid contract with them. The owner a week ago abused my dog and when I addressed it I'm no longer allowed to work with any other trainer but the owner. They've said they won't let me work with any other trainers, including the one from colorado springs, who was amazing, and not abusive. that my only option going forward was to ONLY work with the owner. Despite this physically and mentally not being possible, they will not refund or offer any other options. I believe this is a direct form of abuse, manipulation, and discrimination. In March '24 they kept my dog through their program and when returned to me he had a bad infection on his neck. He had been bitten by another dog and had infected sores on his neck resulting in an emergency vet bill. After 6-8 weeks of back and forth and promises of refunds etc. I was told nevermind. Worked with other trainers (Fallon and Syndey and Caroline) that were GREAT so continued with the program for public access training opportunities for my service dog. Earlier this month Bert, the owner, and Sarah his wife was present in a group class attendees. Took my dog and turned his stimulation collar up on full until Leo was screaming and spinning in circles and growling. I completely disassociated due to one of my needs for a service dog. Then he said "that'll teach you to listen to me". Other members of the class checked in with me and I had to have a friend drive me home as I couldn't process. When I expressed concerns to the trainer from the springs that was suggested I work with (Caroline, she was amazing) she suggested steps. The Denver group had even worked to schedule her for my final 5 classes. I'm now told she was fired. That my only option moving forward is only to work with Bert (Abuser) or Sarah. Even though I have directly expressed I'm physically and mentally unable to work with them. They have no other trainers they will let me work with our refund any of my training costs. This is not only an animal abuse situation, but a disability discrimination. I have filed the appropriate forms through resources off the ADA website, including the department of justice. The companies response is bullshit and Bert and his wife, Sarah will NEVER be allowed near my dog again. The fact the only solution they had was to force me to work with Bert or Sarah, no other trainer when I expressed triggering and animal abuse, goes to show their abuse and discrimination expands to humans as well. Unacceptable.
