Once (maybe twice) I was locked out of my house and he was still in the neighborhood and stopped by to let me in :-/ The dogs loved Nick and you could tell he enjoyed them too! He would snap photos and was great about letting us know how the walks went. Nick also did some overnight sits in our home while we were out of town and was a great house guest! Sometimes you worry about having someone you don't know well super well in your home for a few days at a time, but we never had any concerns with Nick! Nick's departure from DC was devastating to me and my roommate and our dogs. The boys rebelled when Nick moved back to TX. For weeks, they went on a destructive tear on the days Nick's replacement would come by. Seriously, that never happened when Nick was our walker! They loved him AND he wore them out! Hire Nick! You won't regret it!

Nick was an amazing dog walker and all around great to work with…read more My dog Charlie was Nick's first client in DC. They had a blast together. Nick treated Charlie like his best bud and would send me pictures of their adventures. Charlie doesn't generally get very excited but when Nick came over to pick him up for walks he'd jump up and down with joy. Nick was also very good about communicating with me. Charlie's beagle instincts would lead him to eat junk off the ground so he regulary had to go to the vet. When Charlie had health issues, Nick would ask about how his buddy was doing (even on weekends and late hours) and reassure me that he would watch over him when they were together. More recently, I had to go out of town unexpectedly for work and Nick switched his schedule around so that he could watch Charlie. He really went above and beyond to help us. I can't recommend Nick enough. Anyone would be lucky to have him care for their cherished pet.

I have been going to this vet for almost 3 years with my cat now and things initially were really…read moregreat but I've had numerous not so great experiences recently. First- 2 visits ago they had him listed as a 2 year old. He's been going there 3 years so it's not possible for him to age backwards. Plus they have his file scanned from his adoption showing his birthdate. I informed them he was 6. My most recent visit I see on his file that he is now 4. I crossed it out and changed it again back to 6. The reason this is serious to me is because they keep referencing his age when analyzing his conditions and saying blah blah "for such a young cat." But he's not 2. Or 4. He's 6. And his name also is not Oliver... I went in on a Monday and had bloodwork done. They were supposed to call the next day with results but didn't. And not the next day either. His vet had gotten sick and called out and it would've been under her specific file to call me, but given I had called inquiring I feel a different professional should've been able to at least convey the results to me more quickly. Finally, today I dropped him off at 7:45 for an ultrasound. I had been under the impression and told that it would occur between 9-12. I just called and the tech didn't even get there until after 11. Now he has to sit there for a bit longer and I had been counting down minutes to get his results. I loved this vet and I'm really sad about what's happening there. Not sure if the switched systems or something but normally they, and especially Kim, are super good at communicating and doing everything they can. Now I feel weird leaving him with them because they don't even know his name... age... when the doctor will be there...

Gracie, our 19 year old…read morecat, was dying of old age and Claire, the other cat, was suffering from a cancerous growth in her nose. During this difficult time, Dr. Andy and the entire staff have offered unwavering support and practical help. Sometimes the treatments seemed costly, but these veterinarians made sure to choose cost-effective options that would ensure our cats received the optimal care. When we had to make tough choices, such as whether to consult a specialist about Claire's cancer, Dr. Andy always explained the options thoroughly and made it clear that the choices such as radiation therapy or palliative treatment were ours to make. I would recommend Dr. Andy and his staff unconditionally.

The process was smooth and staff was friendly. Fast forward to 2024 and we have come back here for vet care due to their support and prices. The previous vet clinic we attended spoke to us like we should know the medical lingo and not the best patience when we had questions. If your family is ready to add some fur love, I'd recommend Maxfund! Other notes: There is plenty of street parking near the shelter and good sidewalks for a before or after appt stroll. Bring your cat in their mobile home and dogs need to be leashed upon entering. Have a PAW-some day!

I saw other cats on the website that had special needs, and felt more calm about her going to that shelter. My friend gave all the vet records and full disclosure about her health issues, too. Well, it turns out that within ONE month, they decided to euthanize her!! As my friend said, if I had known they were going to do that, I would have preferred to either find a different shelter or make other efforts to re-home her. At the very least, if we had decided that "putting her down" was in her best interest, I would have wanted to be present for her last moments.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This company is a complete scam. We paid $5,000 for service…read moredog training and received almost nothing in return. They are impossible to contact to schedule lessons, their trainers never showed up for the group lessons, and they blatantly lied to us about the location of those lessons--one of the main reasons we signed up in the first place. Just a couple of weeks ago, we went to attend a group lesson, only to find eight other people waiting as well. The trainer never showed up, and nobody answered the phone to explain or reschedule. In fact, nobody ever answers the phone during business hours. It's beyond frustrating and completely unprofessional. We tried for an entire year to schedule lessons, attend group sessions, and call for assistance, and all we got in return was silence. It's maddening. Now, we're moving out of town and are unable to complete the lessons--not that it would matter, since they're unreachable anyway. While we managed to finish the first five levels of training, after that, everything fell apart. To make matters worse, they refused to take any responsibility for the half of the lessons they failed to deliver. When we asked for a refund for the undelivered services, they outright refused. It's shocking how blatantly they scam their customers, with zero accountability. Save your money and avoid this company at all costs. They will take your money, fail to deliver on their promises, and leave you with empty pockets and a lot of headaches. Absolutely shameful business practices.

ABUSIVE and discriminating!!!…read more I was working with this training company for my ADA service dog. I have a paid contract with them. The owner a week ago abused my dog and when I addressed it I'm no longer allowed to work with any other trainer but the owner. They've said they won't let me work with any other trainers, including the one from colorado springs, who was amazing, and not abusive. that my only option going forward was to ONLY work with the owner. Despite this physically and mentally not being possible, they will not refund or offer any other options. I believe this is a direct form of abuse, manipulation, and discrimination. In March '24 they kept my dog through their program and when returned to me he had a bad infection on his neck. He had been bitten by another dog and had infected sores on his neck resulting in an emergency vet bill. After 6-8 weeks of back and forth and promises of refunds etc. I was told nevermind. Worked with other trainers (Fallon and Syndey and Caroline) that were GREAT so continued with the program for public access training opportunities for my service dog. Earlier this month Bert, the owner, and Sarah his wife was present in a group class attendees. Took my dog and turned his stimulation collar up on full until Leo was screaming and spinning in circles and growling. I completely disassociated due to one of my needs for a service dog. Then he said "that'll teach you to listen to me". Other members of the class checked in with me and I had to have a friend drive me home as I couldn't process. When I expressed concerns to the trainer from the springs that was suggested I work with (Caroline, she was amazing) she suggested steps. The Denver group had even worked to schedule her for my final 5 classes. I'm now told she was fired. That my only option moving forward is only to work with Bert (Abuser) or Sarah. Even though I have directly expressed I'm physically and mentally unable to work with them. They have no other trainers they will let me work with our refund any of my training costs. This is not only an animal abuse situation, but a disability discrimination. I have filed the appropriate forms through resources off the ADA website, including the department of justice. The companies response is bullshit and Bert and his wife, Sarah will NEVER be allowed near my dog again. The fact the only solution they had was to force me to work with Bert or Sarah, no other trainer when I expressed triggering and animal abuse, goes to show their abuse and discrimination expands to humans as well. Unacceptable.
