This is the best vet my dogs have ever been to in their life and I'm so sad that we had to move out of state. I'm writing this from out of state because we're at their new veterinarian office who is just awful and doesn't care about the dogs the only care about the money. Dr Andy at center for animal wellness is the best vet we've ever seen and my dogs are 11 and 12. He takes the time to get to know the dogs and everybody else in this office is so kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place. I'm so sad we moved out of state and now have crap vets. Nalu and Roo miss this office. Thank you for loving the animals!!

I just wanted to take a moment and thank the amazing team at TCAW for assisting me with my little guys end of life care. He's not at the Rainbow Bridge just yet, but it will be soon, and the team has been very kind. Henry has been coming here since he was a pup and is well over 12 yrs of age. He's been seen by Dr. Aubrey, Dr.Andy & Dr. Bleakley and always enjoys sneaking in a stinky kiss to Dr. Andy & Dr. Bleakley whenever possible (Dr. Aubrey has long since retired). You're amazing people. Much He's had many techs and assistants over the years, all amazing, but I wanted to thank a few who have recently had to deal with my normal grumpy, Dad brand that has just been sad & stressed. Thank you Kirsten (part owner),Mik, Jessica & Andrew. I would and will recommend you guys always and when another little person enters my life, they will be seen by you

Bait and switch email we received from them.

BAIT AND SWITCH! BEWARE! I wish I could give zero stars... I get it, veterinary clinics are businesses. What is sad is that this one is doing unethical business practices. We called around to a bunch of different vet clinics to get pricing for the TPLO surgery. The Center for Animal Wellness gave us a quote that was the cheapest we could find, awesome right? No. We made the consultation appointment that was $75 and then the vet said they needed to do another $600 worth of tests to prepare for the surgery. Once those were completed and we were ready to book the surgery date, we found out the price for the surgery more than doubled to almost $6K! What?! How? Well, apparently, the receptionist made a mistake and mis-quoted us. We wouldn't have paid them almost $700 in tests and for the appointment if we had received the correct information up front and been quoted this outrageous price. So, we went to another vet and had to get the tests all redone because the tests they took at the Center for Animal Wellness weren't usable by them. We asked for a refund after this was clearly their error and the manager would not take any responsibility. There are better vet practices out there. Don't go here. Their business practices are unethical. I am also going to be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as customers need to be aware of what this place is doing. I hope you enjoy our $700 donation to your unethical practice.

    Former client

Before you dismiss me, as you have others, as "not a client" see screenshot. You're probably the very individual this review is about. The lady at the front desk is terrible - angry rude and a very unhappy soul. She is rude on the phone and in person - the only way she must keep her job is to be related to someone important at the clinic. It's too bad because it completely ruins the rest of the experience, bad enough that we changed vets. I cant imagine how unhappy a person has to be to project so much negative energy and utter misery. I feel bad for the clinic to be held back by such an unhappy individual.

    Cora

Have been bringing my dog Cora here for almost two years and have nothing but fantastic things to say about the service we have received here. We've been to this office quite a few times in the past two years for regular checkups and shots as well as when Cora gets into something she's not supposed to, and they have been able to accommodate multiple last minute visits and always are so great with her! We adore every vet and tech we've met with and they always make sure that we leave feeling safe and secure about Cora's health. Would definitely recommend TCAW.

If I could select more stars, I would in a heartbeat. Dr. Andy and his staff are *amazing* They have always been super responsive (even with my 6am "oh sh*" emails). Molly at the front desk is a dream and is always super helpful with questions, scheduling, and emergencies. Dr. Andy is so passionate about what he does and cares so deeply about the fur babies. Since day one, he has always asked lots of questions and spent lots of time answering a ton of mine. He calls to check up on the kids, and will call with results and explain then in depth. 2 years ago, my dog had a dental procedure that we knew would result in multiple teeth pulled, but it turned out to be more complicated, and he called me with updates to ensure I was aware of what was going on and could make the best decisions. My cat had a complicated medical history. One day I took him in bc he was not being his usual peppy self, and Dr. Andy found something abnormal in his abdomen. He immediately called me to discuss this in depth, as well as turned into a therapist for me. It was the end of the day, and he & staff quickly arranged a specialist to come first thing in the AM to do a STAT test. This resulted in Dr. Andy, Dr. Courtney, and all the staff legit stopped their day to call every clinic around town to find someone who could do a necessary surgery. In the end, they were able to talk to a surgeon at CSU and arranged us to drive up there for an emergency surgery to happen as soon as we arrived. Literally, Dr. Andy is everything to us for saving his life. Unfortunately, my cat has since passed away, from completely unrelated reasons, and Dr. Andy personally called me with his condolences, and the office sent us a wonderful, heartfelt card. I send everyone I know here. It's worth it.

Happy pup despite being at the vet

I reached out to make an appointment and found the front desk staff to be super helpful and responsive. When I showed up to my pup's appointment for a wellness exam and shots, everyone was super nice and gave my pup extra cuddles to make him more comfortable rather than rushing straight into it. The office was quiet and clean. Dr Jeanne Hill was extremely gentle and knowledgeable. She answered my million nutrition/wellness questions and I appreciated that she takes a more holistic/clean eating approach to animal care. Overall great experience for both my pup and me.

My cat is getting up there in years. Ol' man Mica is now pushing 15 - and 15 years of surviving with me is no small feat. He's a tough cookie but age is taking its toll, which means vet visits are becoming more frequent and more serious and, quite frankly, more pricey. 15 years schlepping to and fro across the country also means that Mica and I have been to our fair share of vets. We've been going to the Center for a couple years now and I'm gonna go ahead and full-out vouch for Dr. Courtney and her assistant Malik. They are gentle and kind without the baby talk and they put Mica at ease. Malik is thorough with reading the charts and has a great memory, so I don't have to repeat myself when Dr. Courtney comes in and I have faith that details won't be overlooked. Dr. Courtney has done impressive troubleshooting with Mica's mysterious health issues and has always been up front with how much everything costs (BEFORE doing anything). She's incredibly accommodating with my financial crises and helps me strategize viable options. She explains all aspects of an issue in a way that's easy to understand, even for someone with no medical background. This place has seen me in some pretty emotionally tough and stressful situations and everyone is very supportive. Prices are reasonable and transparent. It takes a lot for me to trust a place with my other half, and The Center has proven itself worthy.

Standard with all adoptions from the DFL is a paid-for visit to a veterinarian.. they provided a list of clinics near me, GoodVets - GT was the closest. They got me in the next day. Monty & I arrived to the location, the staff was incredibly friendly & the good boy enjoyed several treats & pets from everyone. Unfortunately, the infection in his mouth was still present and I was told that he would need a couple of medications to finish it off as well as several vaccines. They provided several different options for Monty's vaccines at different price levels, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I didn't have the funds at the time for the medications he needed for the infection in his mouth, let alone any of the vaccinations. I went home bummed out about the fact that I couldn't get Monty what he needed. I got a call later that day from GoodVets, and they had gotten in touch with the DFL, who provides a voucher that covers up to $250 for shelter related illnesses, so it paid for the cost of Montgomery's medications. Earlier this morning, I stopped in and grabbed the meds. Thank you, GoodVets - Golden Triangle for treating & ensuring that Montgomery, got the meds he needed. I genuinely appreciated that. Pros: Location, staff is A+, but the fact that they went through the extra effort to get Monty what he needed was what made me truly happy with the place. I made myself a reminder in my notes to give an honorable mention to Alex at the front desk, who was not only very nice but also incredibly helpful in regard to scheduling as well as any questions I had. A+ communication. I had also told myself that I would mention the Vet Tech who saw Monty, however her name alludes me now.

Sometimes you worry about having someone you don't know well super well in your home for a few days at a time, but we never had any concerns with Nick! Nick's departure from DC was devastating to me and my roommate and our dogs. The boys rebelled when Nick moved back to TX. Charlie's beagle instincts would lead him to eat junk off the ground so he regulary had to go to the vet. When Charlie had health issues, Nick would ask about how his buddy was doing (even on weekends and late hours) and reassure me that he would watch over him when they were together. More recently, I had to go out of town unexpectedly for work and Nick switched his schedule around so that he could watch Charlie. He really went above and beyond to help us. I can't recommend Nick enough. Anyone would be lucky to have him care for their cherished pet.

They are impossible to contact to schedule lessons, their trainers never showed up for the group lessons, and they blatantly lied to us about the location of those lessons--one of the main reasons we signed up in the first place. Just a couple of weeks ago, we went to attend a group lesson, only to find eight other people waiting as well. The trainer never showed up, and nobody answered the phone to explain or reschedule. In fact, nobody ever answers the phone during business hours. It's beyond frustrating and completely unprofessional. We tried for an entire year to schedule lessons, attend group sessions, and call for assistance, and all we got in return was silence. It's maddening. Now, we're moving out of town and are unable to complete the lessons--not that it would matter, since they're unreachable anyway. While we managed to finish the first five levels of training, after that, everything fell apart. To make matters worse, they refused to take any responsibility for the half of the lessons they failed to deliver. When we asked for a refund for the undelivered services, they outright refused. It's shocking how blatantly they scam their customers, with zero accountability. Save your money and avoid this company at all costs. They will take your money, fail to deliver on their promises, and leave you with empty pockets and a lot of headaches. Absolutely shameful business practices.

ABUSIVE and discriminating!!!…read more I was working with this training company for my ADA service dog. I have a paid contract with them. The owner a week ago abused my dog and when I addressed it I'm no longer allowed to work with any other trainer but the owner. They've said they won't let me work with any other trainers, including the one from colorado springs, who was amazing, and not abusive. that my only option going forward was to ONLY work with the owner. Despite this physically and mentally not being possible, they will not refund or offer any other options. I believe this is a direct form of abuse, manipulation, and discrimination. In March '24 they kept my dog through their program and when returned to me he had a bad infection on his neck. He had been bitten by another dog and had infected sores on his neck resulting in an emergency vet bill. After 6-8 weeks of back and forth and promises of refunds etc. I was told nevermind. Worked with other trainers (Fallon and Syndey and Caroline) that were GREAT so continued with the program for public access training opportunities for my service dog. Earlier this month Bert, the owner, and Sarah his wife was present in a group class attendees. Took my dog and turned his stimulation collar up on full until Leo was screaming and spinning in circles and growling. I completely disassociated due to one of my needs for a service dog. Then he said "that'll teach you to listen to me". Other members of the class checked in with me and I had to have a friend drive me home as I couldn't process. When I expressed concerns to the trainer from the springs that was suggested I work with (Caroline, she was amazing) she suggested steps. The Denver group had even worked to schedule her for my final 5 classes. I'm now told she was fired. That my only option moving forward is only to work with Bert (Abuser) or Sarah. Even though I have directly expressed I'm physically and mentally unable to work with them. They have no other trainers they will let me work with our refund any of my training costs. This is not only an animal abuse situation, but a disability discrimination. I have filed the appropriate forms through resources off the ADA website, including the department of justice. The companies response is bullshit and Bert and his wife, Sarah will NEVER be allowed near my dog again. The fact the only solution they had was to force me to work with Bert or Sarah, no other trainer when I expressed triggering and animal abuse, goes to show their abuse and discrimination expands to humans as well. Unacceptable.
