They also do pediatric dentistry here, too, which is easy for the whole family to make appointments. They also accept my Aetna PPO insurance so coming every 6 months for a cleaning is easy to do. Went to TenderCare for the first time today for a routine cleaning since I moved to the area, it was an awesome experience! I was referred by a friend and each of us got a referral gift card. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and I was very impressed with how quickly they respond to emails. The dental hygienist took her time cleaning as well. Comparing to my previous dental office, I felt like they really took the time and paid attention to detail. The appointment ended with a nice gift mug with toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, chapstick and a mug. It was very thoughtful! Plenty of parking in the plaza, which is a bonus! 5 stars for Tamara who runs the office over at TenderCare Dental. She is really what it means to provide trauma informed care in customer service. I'd definitely recommend this office if you have severe anxiety around dental care. After finally deciding that my dental care couldn't be put off another year, I was fortunate that Tamara was the second person I talked to when making my way down a list of dental offices. She was- and is so great at anticipating questions and fears and providing answers. She is really patient when it comes to answering questions multiple times and in different ways if needed. Tamara understood that not everyone is going to be able to tackle a treatment plan all at once and broke it down for me into visits-making it less awkward to discuss the financial side of the plan. I'm sure she is super busy, but I always receive quick and consistent communication, and feel like my comfort around my dental care is her priority. The office, dentists, and staff are also pretty great. Nice office with plenty of parking, and a little room off to the side of the front desk where I was able to review my treatment plan and payment options. I'd initially seen and liked Dr. Seeger, who was really nice and non judgmental. It was decided that Dr. Thompson do my upcoming treatment for the level of sedation I was looking for. I've since seen Alissa for cleaning, and Dr. Thompson for dental care who were also both great. Dr. Thompson was also made sure my family had post procedure instructions for me, and that I walked away with a referral, and a prioritized next steps for my dental care over the next year. read more

TLDR: Don't go to this dentist unless you want to later find you owe mysterious charges to collections . I went this dentist for an emergency root canal. I was referred to the most expensive specialist, but as I was in pain I saw the specialist. I called the dentist to schedule the crown and they tell me they can't see me for a week. At this point $1700 down, I wait the week rather than risk it costing more elsewhere. I get the temp crown, a week later the permanent crown. They say I owe $600. I pay and leave. A month later I get a bill for $115!? A couple weeks later, before I have a chance to call my insurance, I get a letter saying I owe $130 to collections!! I go down within FIVE days and pay the ridiculous mysterious $130. Then today FOUR days later I get a notice saying I still owe $130 to collections. What is wrong with this place? I would recommend you steer clear if this dishonest scamming business. There are 1000's of dentists in the area, choose another. read more

The practice where I received periodontal maintenance closed down abruptly and I was overdue for my quarterly treatments. I was referred to Tender Dental by my insurance plan. I am very impressed with how they handled my first visit. They performed the X-Rays, periodontal gum measurements to establish the baseline for treatment. Everyone at the practice on Saltzman was knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend them if you need routine or specialty dental work. read more

I absolutely agree with Scott's 5-star review. To start off, I hadn't been to a dentist in 8 years out of complete fear due to a traumatic childhood experience. Just the thought of hearing the drill would turn my stomach. The time came a few months ago when the pain was no longer bearable. Aside from the pain, I also had developed an infection and since I was pregnant I had to address the issue to prevent any complications. I made my initial appointment at a dental center in Beaverton. I wasn't impressed at all!! Not only did they not show any concern for the amount of anxiety I had but I didn't feel any type of patient/care provider connection. Not saying I need a hug but a little compassion for my situation and fears isn't too much to ask. Especially for the price! Needless to say, I did not go back there. After a few more days in denial (and pain) I called up TenderCare to see if they could get me in that week. I immediately felt comfortable there. The staff is amazing. Caring, compassionate, and extremely polite. Dr. Thompson immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He listened to my concerns and understood my anxieties. He created a treatment plan that wasn't overwhelming for me and took extra time to explain exactly what was going on and what to expect as far as the vibrations/sounds/sensations I'd be feeling throughout the procedure. Several times throughout the procedure he offered to take a break so I could catch my breath. The assistant was there to help calm my nerves and even let me squeeze the you-know-what out of her hand. I felt zero pain throughout any of the procedures (and I'm a big baby!!) and no discomfort afterwards either. I've been back several times to have work done. I NEVER thought I'd be able to walk into a dental office without anxiety. I was so impressed with Dr. Thompson and his staff that I have taken my children there as well. They love 'Dr. Andy' and have asked me to take them back there to see him again. Weird, right? I agree but it just goes to show his ability to connect with patients of all ages. Their prices are totally reasonable (even offer financing!) and the care they provide is exceptional. An exam, root canal w/ crown, and 1 extraction later I would give this office nothing less than 5 stars! So happy I called them. So, if your mouth is stinking, tooth is aching, decay has crept in or you just need a good cleaning, call them up! P.S - 'Dr. Andy's' wife, Dr. Seeger is also located at this office. My daughter went in for a filling and although she wasn't having any of it (5 y/o and very cautious) Dr. Seeger did an amazing job connecting with her and respecting my daughters nervous behavior. read more

Having just moved to the area less than a year ago, finding doctors and dentists are a priority for myself and my family. Especially having a toddler. TenderCare Dental was within walking distance so we definitely wanted to give them a shot. And wow are we glad we did! Not only are they extremely kind, thoughtful caring - but they don't mess around! When they tell you it'll take 30 minutes, it takes 29. They even compensated us for having to wait ONE time for a little bit. It wasn't necessary but we were certainly appreciative. From Tamara and Kelly at the front desks to Dr. Thompson. I wrote contracts for 10+ years, so I ask LOTS of questions before I sign anything. Denise at TenderCare was very patient with me as I filled in the many forms required for my visit. Mostly I went there to ask the dentist some questions about how to improve the appearance of my teeth without going through the hassle of braces. My approach to my visit seemed to challenge the staff's set routine for processing clients, but all was well in the end and I felt very good about my experience. Dr. Thompson was respectful and efficient. The office has a nice ambiance, too--for an office, that is. I should note that I don't fear dentists. I think TenderCare specializes in services for people who do. After my visit I can say that they also deal well with patients who are just generally pains in the ass, too! read more

I just moved to the area and needed to find a new dentist - especially since I hadn't had a cleaning or exam in at least 2 years. And then I got into a little fender bender on my way to the appointment and had to cancel last minute. The office staff was so nice even though I'm sure it caused them issues on the schedule. The awesome thing was when I finally got in for the exam, they had actually remembered that I had been in an accident and of course asked how I was doing. The dental hygienist was incredibly thorough and when Dr. Thompson came in he spent a lot of time with me coming up with a dental plan that fit both my schedule and my budget. They have made it such a pleasant experience. Looks like they have a client for life. read more

When my family moved to the Bethany area, we needed to look for a new dentist. We chose TenderCare Dental Center because it was the closest to our home. I had not idea at the time just how lucky I was. I've never been excited about a dentist before, and certainly never felt impressed enough to leave any kind of feedback until I came to Tendercare. The office staff are friendly and welcoming, from the receptionist to the dental hygienists, and the dentists. My previous dentist had given me two amalgam fillings a few years prior and one of them was already leaking. Dr. Thompson explained everything to me clearly, and I scheduled an appointment to have them removed and replaced with composite fillings. Not only did Dr. Thompson take great care to remove the mercury fillings carefully and safely, but now I have a natural looking smile again, and I forget that I even have fillings. My youngest daughter, as is typical of a toddler, had no desire to go for her first dental visit. However, the staff at TenderCare made it a calm and enjoyable experience, and my daughter was actually smiling and posing for photos. My oldest daughter (9 at the time, I believe) had her teeth crowded and coming in crooked and VERY close together. Dr. Thompson recognized that her teeth were at risk of actually breaking due to the crowding and referred us to an orthodontist to maintain the health of her mouth. Two years later, my daughter is happy with a beautiful smile. A few months ago, she was at school and got her retainer stuck in her mouth and it was hurting her. I took her to her orthodontist, but the office was closed that day. Not knowing what else to do, I drove her to TenderCare. Dr. Thompson was holding a lunch/staff meeting. When we walked in, he stopped what he was doing and asked how he could help. When I explained the problem, they ended their staff meeting and had my daughter head to the back. Dr. Seeger gloved up and quickly resolved the problem for my daughter. We have had nothing but the best experiences. Usually, Amy (sp?) is my dental hygienist and each time I go for my appointment, I feel like I'm catching up with a friend. Needless to say, I absolutely love TenderCare and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, caring staff who treat you like family. read more

Everything went well for a while with my dental treatment, until I let them do my implants. They had just purchased a scanner for the office, and haven't yet mastered it's use. I had to tell them that the scan wasn't good when the unit pushed me out of alignment when it was rotating. They hadn't noticed... The day my implants were to be done, Dr. Thompson drilled through my gum into my jaw, and then out the side into my gum. He blamed the guide that was produced for his use, but I have had other dentists tell me they never rely entirely on the guide, and always open a gum flap to be able to see exactly what's going on. After having waited four months for a bone graft to take, I now have to wait another four months for the new graft. The sutures he put in promptly failed, leaving my gums flapping open, exposing the jaw bone, and causing me a lot of pain on my vacation. I had to find a dentist in Australia to repair the damage. I spent $450 out of pocket, and was in pain and discomfort for a week while on vacation. When I brought this up, they didn't seem interested, stating "we didn't expect the sutures to fail." They had no further comment when I asked if that was there only response. While Dr. Thompson was extremely apologetic about the whole implant failure, and didn't charge for the flubbed procedure, he only then told me he had only been doing implants for three years. Other dentists have all told me he clearly took on more than he was capable of doing, especially for a front tooth in a jaw that has seen prior trauma. I'll be working with a different dentist in the future. I'm not saying this office can't accomplish basic dentistry, but I would go elsewhere for any procedure outside of a filling or simple crown. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, although appointments can be hard to get without a wait. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I hate going to the dentist. I get the worst anxiety at just the thought. You know the feeling... Heart palpitations, sweaty palms; it's probably one of the worst things I can think of. I went to see Dr. Seeger in early 2014 when I accidentally bit the inside of my mouth while eating dinner one night. That accidental bite turned into one of the worst mouth trauma canker sores I have ever had. After putting up with a crater on the inside of my mouth for 2 weeks, when it hurt to just drink water, I knew then that it was time to seek professional help. Full disclosure, my son is friends with Dr. Seeger's son so I figured, what could it hurt to see her. I didn't have a dentist at the time (have I mentioned how much I hate going to the dentist?) so I sucked it up, swallowed my pride, and called their office. She was able to get me in same day and perform a relatively easy procedure, for her. And yet one of the most painful procedures I have ever had. Look up professional uses of Debacterol. Needless to say, that procedure healed the most painful canker sores I have ever had but with her help and expertise, I was back to me in less than a couple of days. Since that time, I have been back to see Dr. Seeger to get a total of 4 fillings that I have been putting off getting and she has been utterly amazing. I have a small mouth for an adult and that combined with my dental anxiety is probably a huge challenge for her and her team. Yet they go above and beyond their job, ensuring that I'm comfortable, stopping if I need it, asking me frequently how I am throughout the procedure... Guys, if you need a dentist, Dr. Seeger is the best I have found. I will continue to see her as long as I can. She is an expert at what she does and she has allowed me to find trust in getting dental work done. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars in this review. TL; DR- Although going to the dentist sucks, Dr. Seeger makes it suck A LOT less. I cannot emphasize how much I recommend her and her wonderful team!! If you need any dental work done, go see them today! read more

We actually started bringing our daughter here when she was still young, because they treated her better than her pediatric dentist! When I went to visit they would suggest $500 mouthguards because I apparently grind my teeth. They told my whole family and my neighbors the same thing. Really? can you say insurance milking? In addition, when getting a second opinion at many other dentists they all felt this particular office's recommendations were largely unnecessary. Bethany residents deserves better. read more
