I saw great reviews and that is why I chose to go. I was very disappointed in my manicure.it was sloppy and a week later the gel paint is already messed up and my nail bed was ruined. I live in Los Angeles and road tripped to Tennessee to visit my grandparent's and was in need of manicure and pedicure. I saw this place on Yelp but wasn't sure if I'd come here but my grandma had to go to Kroger which was next door to this nail shop and I remember seeing the name and I was like oh, ok it was meant to be then. Honestly glad I stumbled upon to this place. I loved it here everyone was nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The place had really good energy and everyone spoke to each other. Tbh I had fun who would of thought I'd be laughing and hearing stories and having a good time. Not only that but my gel manicure and pedicure came out great! Also the owners were so awesome I forgot to ask for their names but they are great people. I overall just had amazing experience! Loved everything about this place. Today was my first visit with Tenn Nails but not my last. I needed a manicure desperately before the gel polish. The mature, female manicurist did an excellent job of cleaning up my cuticles without any negativity. The gel polish was applied appropriately and quickly. I moved to the area somewhat recently and decided to treat myself to a nice gel manicure. Tenn Nails is located in a series of strips that make up a rather nice shopping center. (Kroger, CNB, Craven Wings, Pelanchos, a smoke shop, a fro-yo shop, etc. - I really don't need to go anywhere else, it has most of what I need.) I arrived shortly before noon on a Thursday to find the place hopping with ladies getting mani-pedis. I was greeted the moment I walked through the door with a cheery "Hi!" and asked to take a seat in the waiting area, they would be with me shortly. The salon is immaculate, not even a speck on the floor, and everyone was chatting happily. Their equipment is simple but seems more than adequate. When it was my turn, I was seated at a station and asked what services I wanted. I needed old gel polish soaked off and a full manicure, which includes a pretty lengthy massage of my hands and arms. The tech wrapped my nails in cotton soaked in acetone, then foil, and then collected the polish samples so I could pick a color. In gel alone they have over 100 colors with seemingly infinite combinations available. I selected a micro glittered lavender, and we got to work. She was gentle, pleasant, chatty and very skilled. We talked about the weather, our kids (hers is new, mine are old), other services that are available (nail art, etc.) and other things I should check out in Seymour. My nails came out beautiful, and it only cost $30 for the whole thing. Worth every penny. I might even try a pedi next time. read more
