Another updated review: Before moving to Tennessee from San Diego, I've honestly never thought about being able to purchase meats directly from a farm. It's amazing: freshness, quality, and taste. We generally do about 2-3 big orders a month. Here's a general list: GRASS-FED BEEFS: -filet mignon -ribeye -sirloin -New York strip -tri-tip -beef rib slabs -ground beef All great!! Usually do about 4-6 of each, every time we order. GRAIN FED: -wagyu short ribs -wagyu tri tip Both very tasty! PORK: -3/4" pork chops in packs of two (we eat these once a week, so good!!) -2" pork chops on our hungrier days are great -spare ribs -baby back ribs We love and enjoy all their ribs. Seafood: -salmon (I wish they were a bit larger but it was good) -gulf shrimps (my fav from here, they're big and we usually grab about 3-4 bags each purchase) Last time we came the owner wasn't there but I believe his daughter and her bf were. I'm not sure if there's a difference but each filets I added on were different price and they charged me $17-$20 each one. I don't remember paying that much for them before but maybe it's something new. Besides that customer service is always great. The bbq seasonings, steak seasonings, and their bbq sauce are pretty delicious as well. read more

My husband and I are learning about sustainable farming and we also eat keto/low carb. We're actually looking into buying a small farm someday soon. We searched for a grass fed beef farm and found Tennessee Grass Fed Farm. We called and asked if we could do a tour and Ginger said that she'd give us a call back when and if there is one available. She was so kind to take our last minute request. We decided to drive down anyway to pick up some meats. They had other kinds of high quality selections such as pork, eggs, spices/rubs and even dog treats. The "store" isn't very large at all. There are a couple of glass door freezers and some shelves. I love their business model of not just selling their beef but other local farms for eggs and pork. As we finished up gathering our choices to purchase, Phil Baggett, the owner, had just finished up the meeting he was in and introduced himself. Ginger mentioned that we were interested in a tour. I'm sure he had other things to tend to, but he graciously and happily agreed to give us a tour. Phil is such a nice guy. He showed us a map of his 400+ acre farm. The history is rich dating back to 1837 when his family first purchased part of the farm. We then jumped into his SUV and we visited cattle, a barn, a family cemetery and circled the pastures. What a treat to learn about how the farm works. I absolutely love cows now. Phil was so generous with his time and patient with our questions. My husband was able to cook up and eat some keto bacon and eggs, but I had some last minute shopping to do before flying back to Hawaii so unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to taste anything yet. My husband said that the eggs and bacon were delish. I'll update this review when we get to eating the filets and ribeyes that's we bought. I'm sure we are going to love them. Thanks Phil! read more

Tn grass fed has been a saving grace when my family and I moved to Clarksville. Having quality meat for my family is a huge priority and they have been the best option! Update: The day I wrote the review, I had a call from Greg at Tennessee Grassfed farm. He apologized for the mixed up calls about the order and was very kind. They returned my money and about a week later (due to the snow) The company came and picked up the beef. I had emails and phone calls to make sure that my credit card had the money back, and Greg said the beef would be given to charity. read more

Purchased a rib eye steak at the farmers market in Clarksville. Thawed it and broiled it. Toughest steak I have ever eaten. For 21$ a lb I should have been able to cut it with a knife not use a machete to chop pieces off. read more

Was a Butchers Box customer, but came across Tennessee Grass Fed Farm from an Instagram ad. Went to the farm location to pick up some meat, and give it a try. I have since left butchers box and will only eat Tennessee Grass Fed meat, the quality is amazing after stopping by and picking up a ton of meat have had meat in every dinner for a week, can't wait to go back and get some more meat. Worth the trip and am happy to support a local business. Next trip will be meat and maybe a sweat shirt! Love the selection you can choose from, beef, lamb, chicken, pork, duck and more. The lady in the front that helped us was amazing she was sweet and answered all the questions I had and even played with the 1 year old while I was picking meat. Used to really love this farm, until I discovered they literally throw away the organs and other highly prized parts of the cows. Many people seeking out grassfed/finished cows genuinely respect the animals and would love to cherish every bit of the animal possible. Throwing away parts of the animal and denying customers the nutrition to be gained from them. Not very respectable. They also refuse to produce corn/soy free pork and chickens. The high amounts of PUFAs in these animals diets make it just as bad as store bought pork/chickens BUT WAY MORE EXPENSIVE! I suggest looking elsewhere for your meats read more
