I was looking for a place to do fall activities with my family. This is just a place to buy apples and apple products. We had apple donuts and apple cider. Bought some unique salsa and a bag of apples. It was nice, but I had higher expectations. It's a 30 minute drive from North Clarksville, and we only stayed here about 20 minutes and that was only because it took that long to eat the Carmel apples It's nice but next year I'll look for a different orchard.

Wifey, doggy and I wanted to get out of town so we decided to drive the back roads to Adams Tn. Shade Tree Farm had plenty of loose apples in addition to cider, donuts, fried pies, jams/jellies and small lunch menu. We purchased all the important things which were excellent, ice cold cider and very fresh donuts. We tried the vegi soup and white beans and corn bread and it makes a good light lunch. There are picnic tables outside and a play area for the kids. Prices were very reasonable and all the folks working here were helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend shady Tree for a nice weekend diversion!

My wife has…read moreacquired Alpha-Gal, a tick-borne illness that makes you allergic to certain proteins, such as beef and pork. So, we've been searching for alternatives to beef and pork and found emu and ostrich meat is a safe alternative. Finding any of these meats locally has been a failure, so we went online, and found a couple reliable sites. One was basically out of stock on a lot of their products, so we decided on Amaroo Hills. They have a good assortment of emu and ostrich products at different price points. We opted for some of the less expensive cuts, even though these weren't cheap, but beef is sky-high too. We ordered several emu round steaks, emu flat filets and ostrich steaks. The website was easy to negotiate and check out was a snap. We were given a specific window for when the meat would be delivered, and it arrived within a week at the time we were told. The meat was packaged very well, with plenty of dry ice to keep everything frozen. The meats arrived frozen solid and ready for the freezer. The meats themselves are very good looking and look fresh. Unfortunately, we haven't tried any yet, but we have no doubt they will be fine. The meat has a quality look about it, so, if you know how to cook and do some research on best ways to cook emu and ostrich, the end product will be excellent. I'll update this review once we try some, but I feel confident in giving Amaroo Hills 5 stars.

This little Cajun market used to have a spot in Nashville's Germantown, a modest building now occupied by a Taco Mamacita. Sadly, Music City lost a reliable purveyor of unique seafood that still lives on in Clarksville in an equally humble space. And thank heavens it does! I've been planning to visit Little's for about 10 years now to complete my experiment with fried alligator and fried frog legs. And I finally got to put their products to the test with a two-hour, round-trip drive followed by a full scale cooking test at home. I acquired the alligator meat and frog legs in the frozen section of this tiny store, items you simply cannot find in Nashville. I also couldn't resists the breaded fried clams also in the freezer. And I went home to commence an extensive culinary adventure. I leaped into Leap Day of 2024 by frying up my secret recipe for Nashville Hot Frog Legs. And thanks to Little's selling frog legs of exceptional quality, this is one of the best things I've cooked in the last five years! Juicer than chicken, good enough to win competitions, and worthy of starting my own food truck, this would have been impossible without such an impeccable product! And the best-kept secret might just be their frozen fried clams, nearly as good coming out of my deep fryer as the best versions I've had in Maine and Massachusetts! The alligator was pretty good, too. Let's just say that I'm an excellent gourmet cook, but I'm only as good as the quality of my ingredients. And Little's did not disappoint!

It was very busy around 12:30 mid-day, but I was seated immediately. There is downstairs and an upstairs that looks over the first floor. They have a huge menu. Lots of pub fare. Beer cheese, nachos, various pizzas (tons of combinations, most with lots of meat, and you can create your own). They also have flatbreads (again, several combos, some veggie, some meaty). Entrees include steaks, pork chops, grilled chicken, chicken tenders, salmon, and shrimp tacos. Large selection of sandwiches (turkey, clubs, BLT, reuben, prime rib). And at least 10 different types of burgers. I had the cowboy, made with Monterey Jack, bacon, sautéed onions, mushroom, lettuce, tomato, and pickle). Huge burger (I only ate half). The fries were hot and tasty. The burger arrived medium as I had ordered and the produce seemed fresh. The mushroom and onion flavors were lost somehow, and the burger could have used a little more seasoning, but overall solid for being local to Clarksville. I had a couple of cocktails, some type of margarita with cranberry, and a basic mule. They were fine, but nothing special and nothing I would order again. They have a ton of beers here, and that's what they are known for, so if you're a beer drinker, that's your best bet. They have brunch on the weekends. My server was attentive and kind.
