But, I found it thanks to the generosity of others, so mgith as wall pay it forward. I was hesitant at first about going to play at courts where I could not make a reservation... but even on a sunny, Saturday afternoon, there was a court available the moment we walked up. Plus, there was ample street parking right at the edge of the park across from the courts. So, easy parking, lush gardens, players of all ages and abilities playing a time-honored game for free? Yes, please. Sign me up! I'll be going back. About availability: there is a 60-min play time for pairs, 1.5 hours for doubles. But as everyone does not arrive or depart at the same time, so the most you'll wait it probably 20-30 min. We waited zero minutes. As we walked up a pair was just finishing and gave us their court. There are benches to sit at every court as well as a gaggle of friendly squirrels to say hello to before or after your match in the park. And yes, if you bring treats they will scamper over to say hi and eat! But please, don't tell anyone about this place. If anyone asks, tell them it's horrible and to stay away!

I come to these courts all the time! I took classes here and they also great for recreational play…read more They are clean and well maintained with lighting and there's even a wall! All the players I've met here have been friendly as well!

Spare Time Indoors has converted half of what used to be 8 indoor tennis courts to be 14 pickleball…read morecourts: Beginner Level (Rating 2.0-3.0): Courts 1-4 (aisle closest to entrance) Intermediate Level (Rating 3.25-3.75): Courts 11-14 (farthest aisle) Advanced Level Courts (Rating 4.0+): Courts 5 & 8, 7 & 10 (middle horizontal courts closest to walls) Challenge Courts (Rating 4.5+): Courts 6 and 9 (middle vertical courts) There is a central social area with tables and chairs. Courts are nice. Fencing separates the aisles and surrounds one court or a pair of courts. Paddle racks by level. The angled ceiling and dangling light fixtures can make it difficult to hit high balls or lobs on certain courts (Courts 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 and 14). Lighting is bright enough. You must be a member of a Spare Time club to do a $50 monthly add-on fee to access indoor pickleball. The least expensive option is to sign up for a pickleball only membership, which probably runs $130-$135 month-to-month in 2026, unless you find a new member promotion or can commit to an annual plan, which probably only saves you about $10 per month and has an early termination fee. You can drop in for specified 2 or 3 hour sessions for $15. Check the Playtime Scheduler website (https://playtimescheduler.com/) for Spare Time Indoors events, looking for the new dark green circles. I heard that the monthly Friday Night Lights free event will be held at Spare Time Indoors if the weather does not permit it to be held at the usual Johnson Ranch Sports Club in Roseville. Men's and women's locker rooms. 4 remaining indoor tennis courts, but those are separate usage fees. Plenty of parking in the lot or on the street. Spare Time Indoors is located in Gold River near the Sunrise Blvd exit off Highway 50. It is near the Gold River Spare Time Sports Club, many restaurants and businesses, and Rancho Cordova.

Sometimes she doesn't even want to leave! This allows me the time to get a good uninterrupted workout in while knowing she is having a great time. I am truly so grateful to have the space and peace of mind. I also love a couple of the class instructors (Christine? yoga, and a cycle instructor). Was hesitant at first because of the gym feel and demographic, but I feel right at home and have had uplifting and meaningful experiences along with great workouts in these classes. I usually can find what I'm needing for my workouts as well but depends on time of day of course. I wish childcare was available midday for this reason. Locker rooms are always clean and stocked. Cons(ish): Wish the cafeteria was more of a thing. That would be a huge perk. I also wish the outdoor weight area was cleaned up and covered. I hate how crowded the indoor weight area is and this feels like it would be a nice option if there was upkeep. I feel like these things should be included in the cost so hopefully that is on the docket for an upgrade soon.

As I workout I see the workers wiping down machines and checking for trash around the gym. I also love how they offer towels to members here. The front desk is also great at remembering members names and greeting them. They are always so welcoming and are very nice. The main inconvenience I have had here is they take a long time to fix broken machines.. way longer than other gyms I have been too. I see there's a lot of reviews saying the same thing so hopefully Laguna Creek Sports Club can work on that! The location of this gym is also nice because parking is never a problem. At other gyms I have been to, parking would be a pain sometimes because the gym would be in a shopping plaza.. which limited the parking for gym members. Laguna Creek Sports club is tucked away in a neighborhood and has plenty of parking, even when they have their big tennis events.

I'm very disappointed with how this club treats its swim team members…read more Although we pay both membership fees and swim team fees, swimmers are not allowed to use club towels, spa facilities, or the adult locker room, even when children are accompanied by adults and under supervision. Meanwhile, these amenities are available to other members. This creates a clear sense of inconsistent and unfair treatment toward a specific group of paying members. What is particularly frustrating is that these rules and differences in treatment were not clearly explained at the time of joining or during the sign-up process. Members are not made aware in advance that swimmers may be treated differently or have more restricted access compared to other members. There have also been repeated instances where a female parent has entered the boys' locker room many many times, which raises additional concerns about how locker room access rules are being enforced and managed. I have raised these issues with management, but they have not been addressed in a transparent or satisfactory way. If you are considering joining with children in the swim team, I would strongly recommend asking very specific questions about facility access and how policies are applied before committing.
