There are Pickleball courts (they were busy on a Sunday morning during my visit), a basketball court and volleyball courts. There is plenty of parking. There are covered pavilions, a large one with a grill. Added amenities include a cell phone charging station and a boat ramp. There are AED machines prominently throughout the park. There was a yoga class (in Spanish) going on during my visit.

So glad some friends told us about this place awhile back when we were talking about places to take the grandkids in the future. But even if you're just a kid at heart, You may want to visit here. Wear your bathing suit. It's easy to find. And there's ample free parking out front. Mid week when we stopped by it wasn't very busy. But if I had kids, I'd be here every weekend -- especially in our recent hot weather. First and foremost is the interactive water/splash pad. So many machines spraying water, buckets dumping, etc etc. The three kids there were squealing with joy and excitement. Such fun. There's also a story walk/trail for children with various stops plus a regular walking trail. A covered playground with equipment for kids. A Volleyball sand court; basketball court; grills; picnic areas... all with a large swath of green grass in the middle -- perfect for events/concerts. On the south end is the canal C-14 with a fishing pier. More "waters edge" as in the name. And also for adults, there's a covered area right near the water with all sorts of gym/exercise equipment. Don't know what more you could want except maybe a few more resting benches along the main trail for the older folks... Go check it out. Bring the kids.

After the playground, we went to explore more of the park. It's not big but it is clean and beautiful. The views from the platform are pretty too. They have about 3 pavilions and also some exercise equipment along the walkway. We stayed about an hour and if we lived closer we would probably come more often. If we're ever in the area we will visit again.

It Has everything and more. picnic areas, tables and grills, nature trails, kids learning exhibits, playgrounds, merry go round. Indoor and outdoor basketball courts. Plenty of baseball fields. I love city recreation centers. It is where the community can go for classes, fitness, and events…read more I was recently at the Tamarac Recreation Center for the Community Garage Sale. The large parking lot was filled with vendors selling a variety of items. I picked up several useful and cool things very inexpensively. The Tamarac Recreation Center is located in Tamarac Park. The Recreation Center with has offices while the park has baseball fields, a covered playground, concession stand, restrooms, and picnic tables. Adjacent to the Tamarac Park Recreation Center is the Tamarac Multipurpose Center. The facility has a gymnasium, meeting rooms, teen council, art room, restroom, and locker rooms. Tamarac stages many events at these facilities and the park throughout the year. For a full listing of vents check the Parks and Recreation section on the Tamarac city website or follow parks and rec on Instagram and Facebook. An upcoming event is the 5K Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. This is a great resource for the residents of Tamarac and its visitors.
