Currently in soft opening so although many dishes are available, there we're a couple on the menu which we tried to order that were not. That said, sorry it was a quick lunch and I forgot to snap a few of the all telling a photo says a thousand words pics. Nonetheless, I would have to say my first visit to this joint was a happy experience. No imported beer (Yet!) but a San Mig did just fine with the sushi... Oh, also no Sake yet either (I know!).
The service was above par, I was pleased by the attention of the servers in refilling our drinks as well as their attentiveness when it came to ordering more food... I usually order a couple of things at a time when ordering sushi. It should be noted this place does have much more than just sushi, they have a full menu of cooked dishes and teppanyaki.
The sushi was fresh, I had really no complaints. I found the fusion of their dishes inviting both aesthetically and to the palette. I did love the aesthetics of a few dishes very much. The prices are fairly reasonable, and the food is above average so I was a happy camper.
So they have foie gras sushi here! Well, I mean the price is pretty cheap considering its foie gras, so don't expect a huge slab of foie gras, the cuts are a little thin and not quite what I was expecting, yet delicious (of course!). The salmon and seared salmon sushi was fresh and tasted very nice. The ikura was good, although I have to say it could have been better, ikura is one of those things that either come out good or terribly bad, so I was happy it was not the latter. Both the yellowtail and unagi were quite good as well. I ordered so much food that day, I can't quite recall them all, yet the memories of lunch was a blissful one so I would say, come give this place a try for a quick lunch or dinner.
