Went with my brother and his wife and luckily she spoke Spanish. We ordered one of everything (I think) and they also had a Christmas combo item we got as well. Surprised how different everything was and had a small Mexican similarity to tamales but that is where it ended. Service was fast and fun, the server kept laughing and making fun of us for ordering so much food. He also took us on a tour to the other side of the building were they are building a larger dining room. For sure will be back as I love different, unique, and flavorful with attentive service.

Be forewarned - I ended up with a box and just finished my leftovers for lunch - and even though I left less than half, I'm still full now. This time around, I got the arepas (well, the Cabimeras). As I was ordering, I was going to get the pulled pork, but the waitress encouraged me that I could mix and match, so I added grilled chicken to the mix. The menu refers to a "mountain" of food or something like that - I didn't get so much of a pyramidic mountain, but more like a wide shield-volcano of flavor and joy. Part of that was the sheer concobulation of proteins: eggs, ham, pork, chicken; and then sauces - ketchup, mayo?, there was lettuce in there with some sort of cheese...possibly other things...I gorged myself yesterday because it was soooo good. Today, even heated leftovers are still SO satisfying. If I get a chance to go back, this place may just become my favorite in the Salt Lake Valley. It was juicy, with lots of filling, and a thick, crunchy crust. The tucumana was more like other empanadas I've had. They came with 3 salsas and they were all tasty (spicy, non-spicy, and cilantro). I also tried the Charquekan. It's fried yucca, hominy, cheese, crispy pork, sweet plantains, and crispy lamb jerky. Everything was cooked to perfection. The ingredients are simple, but the variety of textures and flavors keep it interesting and balance each other. Talking with the owner, this is their 2nd location (hence the "2" in the restaurant's name). He is Mexican and she is Bolivian. So they both have a restaurant featuring their cuisine, so cool. The decor is amazing, lots of Bolivian art and tchotchkes showing off the diversity of Bolivian culture. The restaurant is designed to look like you are sitting on a side street in Bolivia. The floor even has a cool design. Really awesome place. Highly recommend you check it out! It's a little bit hidden, but look for it just south of Chinatown between Tous Les Jours and Hot Pot!
