Great food and service. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing. Plenty of flavor. Glad we made the trip.

Salad, beef empanada, beef and tomato arepa, and cachapa with chicken and cheese.

Absolutely loved the food here. Had it door dashed and the portions were large and so so warm and fresh. The salad was nice to balance out the beef empanada, arepa and the cachapa. The chimichurri sauce that came with the empanada was something special - actually spicy and I love spicy. It kept me wanting more even though I got full fast. The Cachapa was the star of the whole show. The sweet corn was soooo nice and balanced out the meat in a beautiful way. There was a nice portion of cream on top the cachapa and the full bite with the avocado cream we got on the side really to die for.

Really tasty veggie friendly food! The ambiance is casual you order at the counter. The portions were LARGE so order accordingly! The empanadas are large and their sauces are delicious!

My husband and I walked here on a Friday night. There were other people, but it wasn't too busy and things moved quickly. It is a counter service, and the girl working was super nice and helpful in answering our questions. The inside is super adorable with cute decor on the walls and tables. I got a Diet Coke to drink. They have a fountain, and the brew was really good plus I love refills that I can get myself. We got the ham and cheese empanada, shredded beef empanada, and the arepa Reina pepiada. Their empanadas are actually the best I've ever had. So incredible soft and both of the fillings were great. I didn't like the arepa as much. The outside was really crunchy and I couldn't tell if it was stale or supposed to be like that. The filling on this one is chicken salad mixed with avocado. It had good flavor but was really messy. I think that someone else could really like this, but it wasn't for me. I will be back for the empanadas for sure though. They offer a bunch of gluten free options, and my friend, who recommend the place and can't have gluten, has never had an issue with it upsetting his stomach. Great spot for a yummy bite with a cute dining area!! Also I thought things were priced fairly especially for something that is downtown.

This was my guy's and my last stop before heading to the airport and what an amazing way to end our trip! This place was delicious! All the employees were very friendly and patient while we decided what we wanted. I didn't feel rushed at all to make a decision. They were happy giving their advice on what we should order. I started with a Guava and Cheese Tequeno. I have never heard of this before, but wow! I cannot tell you the amount of times I get something guava and I can barely taste any guava. This was not the case! Even with the cheese, I could taste the guava and it did not disappoint! It was a fantastic combination of flavors with a nice, crispy shell. It was hard to pick which Arepa to get since I've never had one before, so I decided to do the combo instead! From my favorite to least favorite, I tried their Pulled Pork (juicy and packed with flavor), Reina Pepiada aka avocado chicken salad (also delicious and packed with flavor), Peluda (good, but flavor was as expected), and Catira (chicken was a bit bland for my preference). For me, the Catira was the only one that needed some hotsauce with it since it was missing that something something with it's flavor. Really sad I don't have somewhere like this close to where I live! Would 1000% come back here if I came back to SLC.

I was in town for a work conference and a colleague suggested this place. It was delicious. I could have eaten here every day. The service was friendly and professional. The place was small but clean.

My wife is from Venezuela and heard about this restaurant so she wanted to go try it out because she heard their was food from Maracaibo where she's from. We went and everything was amazing! Even though the place was packed, service was incredible, the food came out all together, hot and fresh and everything was full of flavor. Our party of 7 was happy! We will be ordering some food for the holidays. Can't wait to go back!

What a great local place! The downtown location is a hole in the wall, nothing super special about the interior. But wow the food was great! We loved the arepas so much we ended up ordering empanadas to take home for later. I really love that they offer the 4 kind sampler because I wanted to try it all. And every single one was just as delicious as the next. Plus the garlic sauce is addicting. Very nice staff and quick service.

Love this spot!!! Been coming here for 2 years every time I travel to Utah. The food is on point. Vegan options available . They are a nut-free restaurant (for my nut allergies friends). Friday and Saturday's they are opened till 3am . The ambience is very chill, artsy, and Latin bar feel. They do have alcohol but it's mostly beer. They are always friendly and welcoming. We ordered yuca and pork, with tequeños (guava and cheese), vegan empanada (beans, fresh avocado, and maduro), and chocolate tequeños. Plus two sodas. I've recommended this place to about 6 coworkers, each happy to have tried it. Coming back later to bring back treats for people on the East coast.

Fairly basic on the inside with dark wooden tables and not much light. That said it was cozy and we were very comfortable. The meals are very large. My wife ordered Picada Reina Lucero, which had several varieties of meat, white cheese, tartar sauce on top and two sides of other sauces, one a chunky green sauce and a smooth white sauce that mostly tasted like salty butter. The meat was piled on top of fried arepas. My BIL ordered a half chicken and an empanada with pork. The empanada was large and the pork filling was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I ordered the De La Casa Arepones with shredded beef. Ham, cheese and sauce were served along with the delicious shredded beef. This is the only item we ordered that could be considered as a single serving, but even at that it was a lot of food. If I'm in the area I will not hesitate to stop in again and explore more of their menu.

They are huge, one could feed 3 people. I had the chriozo, but it was like hillshire smoked sausage. I would say get the chicken with smoked meats and fried pork. Pass on the Tostones, they were not fried, they were baked and very dry so pass on those. Place has a cool vibe, and decor. You can bring a marker and write on the wall.

Only open for a short while this new food hall is like a cultural explosion with foods from around the world. This place has traditional Venezuelan food and the menu has such a large variety it's hard to decide what to have. Everything is made fresh and the owner Chris gave us some great recommendations on the menu. We ordered Carne Asada Patacones and a side of Yuca Fries. The patacones are sandwiches that are served on fried plantains and filled with meat, cheese, lettuce and sauce. The variety of flavor just explodes in your mouth. So fresh and tasty. Also the yuca fries are freshly made and served with cheese. There's a variety of beverages available that are traditional Venezuelan and Columbian like papelon con limon or simply choose from Coca-Cola products too. We dined inside and there are several tables available with the inside decor giving a fun Latin flare. Food was served promptly and they even checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything else. I'm looking forward to another visit soon so I can explore some other fun menu options from La Casa.
