Once the tour fee was Venmo'd to his wife's account, he no longer seemed very interested in our requests for our tour. Until then, everything we asked for was possible (traveling by air conditioned van for the day to multiple tastings for Tequilla aficionados and discovering lots of small, unknown brands). That day, a tour guide who has not heard of any of this shows up in her own compact, no air conditioning car. She knew nothing about what we had been told. It was frustrating- we traveled from the US for this special birthday celebration and what was promised should have been delivered. No amount was deducted from the bill for any of this, Mickey couldn't care less once he had received the fee about anything else. Disappointing. read more

Best tour ever! Riding horses through agave fields. So cool. SO beautiful. While drinking tequila out of a horn! The valley you go down into is breath taking. The horses were well taken care of, well groomed, responsive, beautiful, strong, just incredible animals. I was very impressed. After the ride we took the horses back to the hacienda and ate in a beautiful outdoor setting. The food was prepared in front of us and was so delicious. I ate so much, wanted to eat more but couldn't! Everyone who helped with the horses and food was so nice! Then we went to a distillery. Learned how they make tequila and tasted more! Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable, and flexible and very cool. We had such a great day. This tour was well worth the money. read more

The Tour- The all day Private Tequila tour guided by David Acre Highlights- Cascahuin Distillery, making Tequila since 1904! Awesome small Distillery, with outstanding Tequila! The mixologist bartender Tatsu (came from Japan to study tequila) mixed the best damn drink I have ever had, my companion just wanted to stay Selecto Distillery- Very pretty, very good tequila and beautiful agave fields. Town of Tequila- loved the town, we ate at an indoor market and had the best food I have ever eaten with some ice cold Corona...mind blowing! Many Tequila tastings that were fantastic, hit the Sauza family Museum and the Maestro Dobel store and museum. Make sure you get a Paloma at the stand right next to the market on the Square. Guide- David Acre was ours and he was fantastic, would recommend.. This trip is not only the best things I've done in Mexico was one of the best vacation things I have ever done...BOOM!! read more

Had a great time taking this tour with two of my friends. Our guide was a young man named Juan Carlos. He really made this tour special. We visited several distilleries, drank plenty of tequila, and learned much about the process of creating tequila. My Girlfriend (now fiancé) and I, just recently took a Private Engagment Tour. I email Miguel back and fourth for a couple of months about how I wanted everything to be. The tour inculded pick up, horseback riding, 2 distilleries, snacks, lunch, marriachi and great service. Everyone took care of us, since day one of planning everything and surprising my now Fiancé. What an amazing tour my daughter and I had to Tequila. We got to sample so many and our guides were so informative about the entire tequila making process. We were even able to dig and cut the agave in the field with a jimador. Truly an amazing experience. read more

We did a full day tequila jeep tour, perfect for a group of guys who wanted a mix of tasting and semi-adventure. Giancarlo and David were awesome, having them as guides really made the tour exceptional. The day started at 10AM, David was early to pick us up in Guadalajara. He made sure we were comfortable and ready for the tour, drove us near the agave fields where we got in the jeeps and went off road. We spent the day touring the fields, meeting the farmers, visiting a distillery and touring the town of Tequila. Giancarlo was very responsive to our requests and preferences. Afterwards, we were driven back to Guadalajara, all passed out in the van. Tasted the best tequila I've ever had. I'd definitely do it again read more
