We found this place just browsing Yelp while we were staying in town. There weren't too many…read moreoptions and we wanted something more than fast food or a pizza place. I'm so glad we tried this one because it ended up being perfect! It's beautiful inside, especially the bar area. We sat in there because even though they don't have a dress code, we felt too underdressed and were more comfortable sitting at the bar. Right off the bat, the service was excellent. The hostess was super sweet and accommodating, and shortly after we sat, we were greeted by the owner. Above and beyond! He thanked us for coming and left us to our meal. We had: -Raw oysters: a mixed bunch of deliciousness! -Shrimp scampi: packed with shrimp! So much so that I couldn't finish the dish and had to take the rest home. Very tasty, and has a creole flare to it that sets it apart from your typical scampi dish. -Dessert: faced with the choice of vanilla OR chocolate crème brûlée, we dared to be different and it was a fabulous choice. The mint with the chocolate was a marvelous touch. -Drinks: I had a French 75 and my mom had a different 75 that I'm blanking on the name of. Both were fantastic! The bartenders were both awesome and they truly take pride in their creations. The owner came back around to check on us, and while we ate, we had noticed him giving what looked like tours to other patrons. We asked about some of the history and he was more than happy to share with us. Very interesting and an added bonus to our visit! All around, I had a wonderful birthday dinner and highly recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in the area.

The food wasn't as good as it could have been in my opinion for the price. The service was okay. The place not as grand as I had expected from hearing people talk about it. I should have just went to Longview for a better anniversary meal with the wife.

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

I was not to hot on the idea of eating at this place since bar food can be a "hit or miss" at it's best. Found the place, especially since we don't get to Tyler that often. Okay, doesn't look like a horrible place, around 3ish, I can do a late lunch, early dinner. Walk in, a couple of people in there, bartender tells us to set wherever we want to. Brings us menus, gets our drinks. The place has a Vietnamese type menu with some really good looking burger sandwiches on it too, so I'm undecided of what I want. The bartender tells us that the burgers are the choice the crowds usually. I got the Sky Burger, I think that is what it was called. Excellent burger and choice. The Chef, owner and the bartender provided excellent service. The bartender was on top of his game always checking on us to see if we needed anything and if we were satisfied. They have a little stage, not a real big place and it looks like the draw the local crowd. They give a Veteran's discount on their menu items which I always ask for and appreciate. It look's like a neighborhood gem. We'll definitely stop back in when we're back in Tyler again because I want to try their fried rice that I saw on the menu.

When we arrived there were a few open seats but they looked pretty busy. After a while someone took our drink order. I wasn't timing but it felt like a long time before I was informed my drink couldn't be made because the blender was broken . I changed my drink and it came quickly. Then we placed our food order and our server repeated it back to us (which I appreciate). We received the chicken spring rolls first, they came with two sauces. The menu said the rolls came with a peanut sauce but I didn't taste peanut in either sauce so I requested the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, i just didn't like their idea of a peanut sauce. I honestly thought it was some kind of mustard. Anyway, the rolls were fresh but the vermicelli/lettuce ratios were super-off. Also - let's get real. If a spring roll doesn't have a good dipping sauce it's not any fun! The wings had a good sauce, we ordered Korean. But they were so crispy they were hard. The chips and queso came last which was a fun order for food to come to your table. The chips were a little stale, the salsa was fresh and had a little heat! It helped liven up the queso. I was disappointed when our initial server stopped coming to our table and sat at the bar. Which left the bartender to bus all the tables, deliver drinks and food, and tend the bar, which was full the entire time we were there! The atmosphere here could be really cool, I like the idea of a place to watch a local band, and have food & drinks. This is something Tyler needs so I hate to leave this review but I won't be going back for a while.
