I've had three CPAs in my lifetime, each one having an increasing amount of complexity in my tax preparations. MMM's staffing levels, varied areas of specialization, and individualized attention to details make them, in my experience, the "Neiman Marcus" (I would say "Nordstrom," but Nordy isn't what Nordstrom used to be) of CPAs and other financial services. The team members at MMM with which I have worked over the years have all had integrity and provided great customer service. Each has expressed how much they enjoy the MMM work culture and each has related how much their professional vocation is a passion, though very, shall we way, taxing at times. I like to know that the specialists helping me in my life are working hard and then playing hard. I want these people to be healthy, happy and to also be fiercely competent in their area of specialization. This is what I have in MMM. In spite of having all the necessary banking information for a direct deposit refund, they filed a request for a physical check to be mailed. And of course, that check has been lost. Sure that happens, but what doesn't jive with me is the absolutely lack of a simple apology or offer of assistance to help sort this mess out with the IRS. Nope, nothing. If you want to pay for shoddy work and zero support, go for it. But if you ask me, run away from this place as fast as you can.
