I went to teresa about six months ago (pictures are from about five hours after my hair appointment), and have held off on writing a review. I have black hair and went in for balayage, but unfortunately this is what I was left with (pictures). I want to start off by saying Teresa was very kind and nice to me. She replied to questions I had via email within an hour and was welcoming in her salon. After we were done with the color, I let her know that I was uneasy about how orange my hair looked, and she recommended I come back to get it toned for $40 in a few months time. I understand that black hair is not the easiest to bleach, but I was really sad about the final outcome of my hair. read more

I came here to get balayage highlights and cut and I was so happy with both! I didn't like highlights that I had, so I came here to get them fixed up. Teresa is great with asian hair and understands how to take care of color to avoid the brassiness! She gives great advice on maintenance of color, and also used olapex to maintain healthy hair. Teresa is great! Been in Dallas for 3 years now and it took a really long time to find someone who does awesome work with color. I found her at Essensuals London in Plano and followed her to the Glam Room in Allen even though its a much longer drive than when she worked in Plano. Now she's a little bit farther out at Skylight but still worth the drive. My hair has been processed a lot and despite all that its still healthy thanks to Teresa. I've colored it brown, red, had low lights, highlights, and have gone all blonde. Bleaching on very dark hair takes a toll but I've always trusted Teresa's judgement on what works best. My hair never feels damaged. She's very easy going and listens to your concerns to find the best possible option. Highly recommend her! read more

My experience with Teresa was great. She definitely knows what she's doing and mostly captured what I was going for. I have dark, dark hair and came in for balayage/ombre. I think she definitely understands Asian hair well and knows how to remove or avoid any brassiness that can result from Asian hair. I love my hair, though I wish it was more ombre like. The transitioning from the top of my head between my original hair color and the balayage was too harsh and reminded me of 90's highlights. I did just go in myself and fixed it with drugstore soft black hair dye to soften out the transition. Besides that, the color is nice and soft and appropriate for the season. I have been going to Theresa for over a year now, and I have always been very satisfied with my hair. She originally fixed my horrible streaky highlights from a previous salon after trying to go blonde. She knows how to work with difficult hair and she is the balayage queen.
