I found Dawn on Yelp and was immediately attracted to the great reviews. Let me tell you, she is amazing! She got straight to asking me what I wanted to do with my hair and then provided her suggestions and thoroughly went over what she would do and how my hair color could change over time. I had highlights done in May that I was just not happy with so I showed her a few pics of my hair color before and we settled on an all over color together. After Dawn colored my hair her assistant Stephanie took over to wash and finish the color on the bottom half - they are a great team. Overall, her salon was cute and clean, Dawn was so sweet and friendly and she definitely knew what she was doing with color. Lastly, she referred me over to another woman a few doors down (same building) named Letti to cut my hair and I would also highly recommend her! I came to their studio after a horrible mishap at another salon that left me with green, blonde hair from originally requesting a grey ombre. I've been a client for a little over 4 years now, and I wouldn't go to anyone else. I started off with Callie. She took me from long hair to short on my first visit. When I mentioned I was thinking of going blonde again (I was red at the time) she recommended I see Dawn. This was the start of a beautiful friendship. Callie has always been super attentive when going over new styles and how they look. When I decided to shave my hair off for charity this year in April, she was the one to do it. As it grows out she continuously double checks on how my hair is progressing in stages so we end up with the right style. Dawn is amazing when it comes to color. I am not the easiest to please when it comes to dying my hair. I love the bold, bright, non traditional colors. And I give Dawn free reign over what she puts in my hair. She calls me her artist. I call her a wizard with color. Without fail, when I am getting my hair done by Dawn, other clients have made comments on how amazing it looks. (And how they wish they were that brave!) If you decide to pay Dawn and Callie a visit you must understand that they book really far in advance with just about everyone that is "regular" so it may occasionally be difficult to get same day appointments. Talk about a Dream Team! I knew I was in good hands when they made sure they had enough time scheduled for a new client appointment so they wouldn't be rushed. I showed Callie a couple of pictures of what I wanted and she Nailed it! She took me from long curly boring hair to a beautiful short and sassy cut! I'm in LOVE with my Hairstyle. Dawn did an amazing job with my hair! I had used box color (Féria) on my hair a few times attempting to try brown hair. I found I did not enjoy it and knew I couldn't take it back to blonde with box color by myself. So hence going to see Dawn. She took A LOT of time to discuss with me why we may not be able to get me as blonde as I might want right now (metals in Féria color) and what she planned on doing, as well as what I could expect. She took her time, she was meticulous, and very kind and energetic while she worked on my hair for 4.5 hours. I naively booked this appointment thinking I would get a trim too. Hahaha. Dawn specializes in color but...while we were waiting for something to process, she walked down the hall, asked a very nice woman if she could squeeze me in, and Dawn herself negotiated the price for me. This experience could not have been better. My hair is blonder than I was actually expecting after the consult and it looks so natural. It has been a very long time since I personally have felt this beautiful. I love my hair. My staff were complimenting me all day. They'd walk away to do assigned tasks and when they'd return to my office several of them would say something along the lines of, "Wow, I can't get over how amazing your hair looks. And how natural." I went to make an appointment and they do not answer the phone. You have to text her, only to have her assistant text back days later. I wanted to change the color of my hair and was prepared to spend the money to do so. I was told they were booked up until the new year, I stated that would be fine. Then I asked if they had weekend appointments only to be told they were booked up for the next year. Her assistant was rude and acted as if new business is not appreciated. Not customer service based at all. I was told she was busy and to this day no one has gotten back to me with an appointment. Don't waste your time here if your a new client. read more
