Aweful booking experience. Made an appointment request through the website - which doesn't confirm an appointment. You still wait for someone to tell you if you're in. Communicated via text for over week responding to endless directions on the required $50 deposit via Venmo which I processed. Submitted photos as requested of current style and expectations. Completed the pre-arrival form. All this only to be asked to move my appointment to 3 other slots that don't work for people who work normal office hours. Salon cancelled my appointment, then says they can't Venmo me back my $50 deposit as only the owner has the account. Directed to call salon to process a credit card refund. Don't we all love the risk of giving businesses our credit card details over the phone? All this effort to have zero services executed. What a joke. Stay away. read more

I sent my teen daughter in for a consultation which cost $25, when she finished she showed me the estimated cost of service...$782 and that doesn't include cut/style. We were in a rush for a photo shoot and put down an additional $25 to hold the appointment. This price seemed like highway robbery so I called a few other reputable salons in the area that had 5 star reviews and over 200 reviews. I wound up paying half the price and she got exactly what she was wanting and her hair looks and feels so healthy. My daughters hair is slightly past her shoulders and thick. Close to $1000 is ridiculous! The employees were very sweet and knowledgeable. They probably would have done a fantastic job but so do many others for a fraction of the cost. TLDR: 12/10 recommend. Quality work, very professional. I was impressed by Hai Society from my initial consultation. I wanted to go from black hair with some already bleached sections to a red all over. From the first consult, I could tell they knew what they were talking about bc almost immediately Sabrina and Suzy (sorry if wrong spelling) started thinking up a game plan of how to achieve this. The day of my appointment I was taken very well care of. They provide drinks and snacks so your visit there is comfy as possible! The massage chair also helps. Seven fun hours passed by (thank you to the ladies for providing such a fun atmosphere) and I transformed into the hot redhead you see attached. Thank you to Vivian for the best cut and Sabrina for working so hard and long to achieve this vibrant red. Yelitza! Ask for Yelitza! Let me tell you that this haircut had me in a chokehold and was the best cut/color of my life. I sent her pictures of some things I liked and she brought them to life. She was so detailed and asked me questions I hadn't thought about! I couldn't have asked for a better style. ANDDD the bangs were perfection OMG they are so versatile-. I have gotten more compliments on my hair than any other point in my life. The salon is clean, everyone is nice. The one thing I loved is that after speaking with me about my goals/what I wanted they gave me an estimate for the cost PRIOR to my service which is so underrated! My first experience at Hai Society was amazing though expensive. They did a great color correction. My second appointment they did a same day reschedule after I'd taken off work but fit me in the following week. Because of the reschedule I was tight on time and texted that I'd be 20 minutes late. My hair takes 5 hours so 20 minutes late to me means they don't dry my hair and style it. It doesn't mean you can't see me at all. I took off work again to get here and live 35 minutes away and was told I couldn't be see. When I was pulling into the parking lot. When I got back my stylist was walking in after me with lunch and told me I was 30 minutes late. Then proceeded to tell me she had another appointment which is why they would be tight. That feels impossible when they close at 7 and my appointment was at 1:00 and hair takes 5 hours. It doesn't add up. I feel lied to and they used my being late as an excuse. This is terrible treatment from a place that charges a premium. Follow up: The manager did just call to explain my hair should have taken 4 hours for partial highlights and a cut and style. My previous comments still stand on hoping to get flexibility to get the color done if nothing else. I asked for a refund for my deposit of $50. It is their policy to keep it for people more than 15 minutes late. I was 25 minutes late. I was offered a refund, not for the experience I had and the salon rescheduling in the first place but to take down this review....I get it things happen and people should be flexible. I was just looking for the same level of consideration. I declined the refund to keep up my review. read more

Heard about HS on social media and decided to give them a try when I heard about their specials on extensions. I went with the tape ins and had 3 bags put in my hair. Brenda was my stylist that day, she made sure to go over everything before getting started and answered all my questions. Made sure I got the color and look I wanted. No customer service! This salon is way overpriced and does not care for customer satisfaction. My hair looks like my roots are already coming out and I just paid $300 to get highlights done and have my hair lighter overall. I called the salon twice and asked to speak to the owner. She did not bother to call me back! I was told she was busy and that there wasn't anything they could do for me besides coming back and adding more highlights on my roots to make it look lighter but I would have to pay full price. I am very disappointed with how my concerns were handled. It seems like all they care about is making their money but do not care about actual customer satisfaction! Desi did my hair color - we opted to do a dimensional balayage and I absolutely am in love with it. She did a patch test for my hair to understand my texture and under color.
