I ordered the chicken and sweet and sour pork combo to go. The pork consisted of small dried-out pieces of pork (?) in a thick, tough coating. I was unable to eat it. The chicken (which I just guessed was chicken through process of elimination) was dry and tasteless. The vegetables consisted of two thinly sliced carrot pieces, two small pieces of broccoli, and some chopped cabbage. I give the experience one star for the sauce. First of all, I need to say that I think it's a bad decision they made to be closed on the weekends. I got food to go from their Oroville location. I got the teriyaki chicken with sweet & sour pork. The teriyaki chicken was good, but the s&s pork was strange. The meat inside didn't look or taste like pork? I wasn't sure what I was eating. However, the s&s sauce was very good. Food is good, you get a good portion for the price, the staff is friendly and efficient. It's more of a pick up and eat elsewhere place. There are tables, but it's noisy and plain. My only complaint was after I paid o asked for an extra teriyaki sauce(they give you a small cup), I was told that would be .27 cents. I had CC only, so good was a bit dry. But still tasty! Visited this place as I was on a time crunch and needed to get something fast. I stopped by the you g lady who helped me was super cheerful and attentive. Reason for my 3 stars is the teriyaki was very simple and almost like syrup not the darker thicker teriyaki I'm used to with a little more robust flavor. The chicken and beef were grilled almost over cooked as the meat was Chicken were very dry. So much so, that I asked for additional teriyaki sauce which they charged me .27 cents for which I don't mind paying but being in business know that it would have probably being cheaper to not charge me since I'm sure the credit card swipe probably cost them more than the .27 they charged me. Nonetheless, if you are looking for something fast and don't care too much about flavor and want something edible this will suffice. But if you are looking for something more flavorful or better quality, probably want to look elsewhere. Just my thoughts. Walked in 20 mins before closing but I wasn't the last, as a few more trickled in after me. They told me all they had available was Curry Chicken, Beef & one other option. I ordered a Curry Chicken & a Beef Bowl. She asked if i wanted medium or hot. I chose medium and I would say I'm glad I went with that. Overall, I thought the Curry was a bit on the hot side. The food came out quickly and I thought the price point was more than fair. The Curry Chicken portions were generous and I would totally come back and try something new. I really have no idea how this place has the rating it does. It was so bad I don't know how or where to begin. I ordered the Chicken Bowl, two Chicken Skewers and an Imperial Roll. NONE of the food is fresh. There is NO WAY the food is prepared fresh. Bland Bland Bland The two chicken skewers, I was told they are grilled and asked if one cooked be grilled a little longer or "extra" grilled. Although she said no problem, there was no difference between the two skewers. Worse yet, both skewers were COLD and looked like they had been sitting there for a while. The meat was the lowest of quality, fatty and multiple pieces had cartilage. After one bite from either it was clearly inedible. Chicken Bowl, stale, cold, garbage meat and garbage vegetables. I say vegetables but it was a mass of mushy cabbage with two (only two) small carrot slices and two very small mushy pieces of broccoli. Imperial Roll, wow. It was an oil sponge. NOT EVEN CLOSE to being crispy. Mushy. Oily. Disgusting. Don't waste your time. Nothing redeemable. read more

I stopped by at 4:00 PM after work and when I walked in there was three girls at the counter that came off very rude and not friendly. It was my first time here so I wasn't really quite sure what to expect when coming in but when I walked in, they all three stood there and didn't even greet me or anything, I asked if I could get vegetables added onto my bowl and one of the girls responded "umm yeah if u want" then they all three continued to look me up and down as I payed for my food making me feel super uncomfortable. just very horrible communication skills, horrible costumer service skills, etc. they made my first experience terrible and I will not be returning. This teriyaki house is the best. They have a simple menu but the food is quite yummy. I don't think this restaurant has been open for that long but I was a regular at the one across town and I was so excited to see they had opened one on my side of town. The prices are so affordable and everything is cooked to order so you get steamy, hot food! They open at 11 and never really seem to be busy. I recommend the chicken bowl, it's a huge portion of chicken, rice, and veggies (extra veggies for me) all for about 6 bucks with taxes. This is not a very good restaurant. Their sauce is not made on site. Food is a bit overpriced for the actual offerings. There is very little resemblance to a teriyaki bowl restaurant here.
