After being unhappy with their service (the technician had to return twice and still missed the specific areas I explicitly pointed out), I decided to cancel my subscription. I sent a clear, explicit cancellation notice in writing on Thursday, May 28th, specifically stating that I wanted to cancel my account and the upcoming appointment scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd. The representative, Jeremiah, replied confirming the cancellation but noted a $70 early cancellation fee (reimbursing the initial sign-up discount). I responded over the weekend to ask about it. Instead of pausing or processing the cancellation, they used the weekend lapse to claim my cancellation was "unconfirmed." They then sent a technician onto my private property unannounced on Tuesday, June 2nd, to perform an unwanted, unauthorized service, and immediately auto-charged my card $129.99. When I expressed my frustration, Jeremiah told me that because I hadn't given them permission to run the $70 cancellation fee over the weekend, my account had to stay active and therefore the June 2nd treatment was "valid." This is so unprofessional. A cancellation fee is a consequence of terminating a contract, not a hurdle you have to clear before they respect your boundary to stop entering your property. They refused to refund the unauthorized $129.99, forcing me to file a formal dispute with my credit card company. I am fine (but not happy) to pay the contractually obligated $70 fee to sever ties, but their underhanded tactics to force a recurring charge after written notice are unacceptable. Guard your credit card info and look elsewhere for pest control.

I had a mouse in my house a few months back. I had never had a mouse before, so I was stressed and wanted some help. I called penguin pest control, who sent out the worlds weirdest guy. I knew exactly where it was (behind my dresser), as I could hear it at night. The guy was apparently very bad at his job. He did not move the dresser at all, just placed one cardboard cheap trap near it. He placed a few more cheap cardboard box like things around my house, I paid a ridiculous amount, and he left. Fast forward a few days later, mouse STILL there, right behind my dresser, cheap cardboard box things untouched. I couldn't sleep, I was so stressed hearing it. We finally moved the dresser out and purchased our own legitimate trap. The very same day we caught it with our OWN equipment. I thought oh well, expensive lesson learned, we won't call them again and let it go, right? WRONG! They have been harassing me for MORE money. I paid at the time of the "service", so I don't even understand why they keep sending me a bill. I have tried to call, and the most recent time the manager informed me they would no longer speak to me unless it was through certified mail!!!!! Like, what? Bill me for a service that really wasn't provided, continue to bill me, and then refuse to discuss or remove the charges?? This is a SCAM!!!!!!! Unless you want the world's creepiest dude placing cardboard boxes around your house and then billing you repeatedly, do NOT go here. It DOES NOT WORK, and they keep charging you!!!

I was told to go ahead and buy the sprinklers I needed replaced. I never heard back from them. After three weeks I called them back. I was told that the ball had been dropped but they would get right on it and call me to set up an appointment in a week or so. They said they would send this right to the manager. Again I received no communication of any kind from them so after two weeks I called a third time. That was last Friday. I was told they couldn't understand what happened. That afternoon I got a call from the owner, Joshua. He began to tell me of extra costs and charges he would have to tack onto my project and that the sprinklers I bought could not be used unless they met his standards. This is all before anybody visited my lawn to see the job. He said he would contact me this week. A week went by and I had heard from nobody so I called for a fourth time today. I was told again that they couldn't understand what was happening to cause the delay and that I'd get a call before the end of the day. At 5:00 I had still not received a call back so I called both the office number and the owner's number. I got no answer but left two messages. Each time I've called the office number I have talked to a different person. All of them were able to find my information. All were extremely apologetic but nothing has happened. My first call was May 11 and today is July first.
