Pretty decent option in the area, although it was a little awkward trying to figure out whether to wait for the check or pay at the counter. We got sick of waiting after 20 mins of finishing so we paid at the counter. Our waitress seemed a little caught of guard, but who knows. My wife had the lasagna bolognese and said it was excellent. I had a chicken mixed green salad and the bruschetta picante; both tasty and reasonable portions. The prices were excellent and the atmosphere was casual. Terra is located on the right side of the road on the way to Sao Vicente (end of the world) which can be a good take for sunset if you time it right. One of the better meals we had during our stay in Sagres.

Super tasty great atmosphere! Great date spot also good for kids. Fresh local foods and amazing staff! Ate the salad mix apps and veg soup to start all were bomb! Had the house wine beat one we have had not from up northern region also good deal at 10 a bottle. We had the grilled seafood for 2 the grilled eggplant was some of the best ever had and we cook it all the tome the same way. The fish and shrimps were very good!

It's now called Carme Restaurante. And it's amazing. The head chef bought Terra and created Carme. It's 4 star. Amazing

Mum's Food & Spirits - The restaurant does not stand out, so look for her signage.

Ran by a long time Sommelier, definitely worth visiting when in the area. I ordered their deep fried octopus dish with a barley risotto, I was told the octopus was caught wild off the coast 10 minutes down the road. It melted in my mouth like butter, easily the best executed octopus I've ever enjoyed. Will definitely be going back as the rest of the menu grasped my attention they are always coming up with new ideas.

Mum's has an unique menu, not a place I'd normally try, but when on vacation one should explore…read more Their menu is vegetarian, it does though include fish. They have food combinations that are daring, out of the usual, but most importantly scrumptious. They serve fish caught fish, so the menu options change as to the fish; the night we were there they had fresh corvina, paired with lemon risotto, just lovely. We started with a carrot garnish/ purée, onto carrot bisque soup, mix green salad topped with sesame seeds and chickpeas, finishing with the corvina. Dessert was a muffin of sorts spilt in 2, the middle had strawberries & cream, while the top had been drizzled with brandy. Wine selection was good, local wines were well presented. If you're traveling thru Sagres it is a most stop. FYI - take cash, no credit cards accepted.

Took 10 minutes to clear a table to be seated. Another 10 for our order to be taken. Unfortunately…read morewe then waited for 50 minutes and our food still hadn't showed up. There were 3 other tables who had ordered before us who still hadn't received their food. Our server said they were very busy. As if the restaurant had never been busy before ever?? We left after 50 minutes. Infuriating and no sense of urgency. Don't come here and waste your time.

Great roadside restaurant right on the way to the Sagres fort. An excellent option for lunch!…read more The restaurant is split into two sides, to the left the proper restaurant and to the right smaller cafe for a quick espresso or sandwich. To walk into the left hand side after they have been cooking is to inhale the richest purest aroma of fish broth. A promising sign of things to come. We started with their appetizer plate (a ubiquitous element to Portuguese meals- offered without ordering, although not free) with tasty cheese, olives, bread, and anchovy paste. For the meal we had Sagres local beers, and the regional algarve specialty of clams in a butter-garlic sauce and then one of A Sagres' famous fish stews. This is a BIG pot of broth with rice at the bottom and many kinds of fish and prawn cooked with it. It is like a magnificent soup version of a paella. With just this starter, small entree, and big soup entree we were completely full. After the meal we took cafe espressos and a slice of almond orange cake. We were deeply satisfied, and the service, while not the fastest, was very friendly.
