Brian Heres was hired (and paid) to mow our lawn weekly…read more After somebody working for him mistakenly broke a glass panel (rock from weed whacker), Brian acknowledged this face-to-face and said "well, I owe you a window" then commented how this was only the second time it occurred in his 20+years of business. He said he was going to take care of it and get a contractor to come replace the panel. Obviously this stuff happens and it is not the end of the world but the way it was handled was reprehensible. After leaving broken glass on my patio, Brian left and was unresponsive to any outreach for a week. Finally my wife texted him and he responded saying he's been busy trying to find a contractor to fix the window and asked if we could do the same. I will give him a benefit of the doubt but we called 3 local window contractors - none of which had heard from him. After we found a contractor to fix the window, we connected Brian to them so he could pay them to get started. It has been 4 weeks with absolutely no response from Brian (phone calls, text messages, emails - both from my wife and I and the window panel replacement contractor). Now he's ghosted us and left us with a $2000 replacement panel bill... and he obviously stopped showing up to cut the grass. Of course being stiffed with a $2000 unexpected repair is not great, but being ghosted by Brian after leaving shattered glass all over my patio is far more offensive. It was made clear to him, if he can't pay that it was understood but at least return the phone call and send somebody to clean up the broken glass... At least to protect my five year old and two year old from serious injury. I have video and audio evidence of all of this along with text messages previously asking for quotes on additional work (which he kept saying he would do then never did).

Had 15 year "warranty". Began falling apart in about 3 years. Multiple contacts to Brian who said would stop by and never did. Small claims court gave me judgement for full amount paid plus fees after judge reviewed pictures and contract. Don't be fooled by the Franklin Lakes address. It is nothing but a PO Box. Was told this by the sheriffs officer who tried to deliver the judgement. Tried to put a lien against his company. No assets. I did locate real address in Oakland, NJ but under wife's name. In my opinion, a very disreputable person. Please think about this before enabling this person to do this to others. I have all documentation. Brian, feel free to sue me for this review. It would be a pleasure.

I get changed almost $1800 when they come to butcher trim the shrubs. when I called today I was called a pain in the ass customer.. I've called once. I was also told that he didn't give a "F" what I pay, trimming is not in my contract.. I pay between $500-$600 a month for maintenance. I don't have a large property. Their maintenance is mowing the front lawn, and blowing out leaves poorly. I called today finally after their team was here for not even 10 min. I wanted to see how we could rectify the situation. I was cursed at a lot, for a while. I never raised my voice. actually I think I handled the very abusive attack from Frank, the owner pretty well inspite of starting to shake, and just crying as I got off the phone in shock that someone could speak to anyone else that way.. no less a customer who has only called once to say I'm dissatisfied with the service. very long story short please save your money, and self respect. if you're looking for mowing, and leaf blowing hire a high school kid. they'll treat you, and your property with a lot more respect I'm terrified to see what they're going to charge me now that I've canceled my "service"
