Scott and his team did a fabulous job. They took a field of weeds and made it into a beautiful backyard space with a lovely patio and trees on the perimeter for privacy. Not only were we very satisfied with the results, but the entire process was very smooth. Scott drew up a detailed yet very clear and easy to understand contract. Then they executed on everything exactly as agreed and even went a little above and beyond. The entire crew was polite, respectful, and responsive. As a homeowner you can't help but approach big projects with some trepidation, but this one went off without a hitch. I will definitely use them again. read more

What can you say about a project that far exceeded your expectations? In our first meeting with Scott from Green Meadows, he discussed our goals and made some suggestions. Within a day or two, he created a video (complete with birds chirping and waterfall splashing sounds) which showed what our yard could look like. His choice of trees, flowers, and other plantings was gorgeous. From the friendly, efficient work crews who cleaned the area spotlessly after each day's work to the timely fashion in which the project was completed, everything was just perfect. The painstaking construction project was amazing to watch as 1,000 pound boulders were meticulously placed (and sometimes replaced) until the water feature was exactly as Rich, who created the waterfall, had envisioned it. The resulting backyard is breathtaking and is more than we could have hoped for. Visitors to our yard are awestruck by the beauty. Working with everyone at Green Meadows was a pleasure. We hired Green Meadows to do the landscaping in our front yard. Scott came by and discussed what we were looking for and what he recommended. A couple weeks later he provided us plans/drawings of what they proposed. It covered everything we asked for - lights, a retaining wall, and of course beautiful landscaping. The design drawings enabled us to see exactly what we'd get. The contract was broken out so we could see it exactly what each element cost. We asked to add sprinklers at the last minute and he put us in touch with a company they've worked with before - helpful bc the 2 companies need to coordinate. They started on time, got everything done within a week, and there were no delays due to the sprinkler install. The 2 companies worked together seamlessly. Each day Scott was here in the morning to see how it was going and the project manager was here all day. He kept us informed of what would happen each day. The end result was a beautifully landscaped front yard complete with a fieldstone wall, lighting, decorative boulders, sprinklers and a modern, natural landscape design. This landscaping is absolutely horrible. The work is shotty and the staff is lazy. I came home one afternoon to find the landscaping staff lounging on th grass next to an empty pizza box and a 6 pack of Coronas which they then left in the common area of my townhome. The owner, Mr. Goldstein is disrespectful and aggressive when you speak to him on the phone. He is especially brash with women as he was with my wife, bringing her to tears during a recent phone conversation. He is completely unwilling to accept any criticism and just starts screaming over you when you attempt to critique the flaws in his landscapers work and behavior. Also, although Mr. Goldtsien claims to offer a broad range of products and services under the Green Meadows Landscaping umbrella, BEWARE because he farms out jobs like branch trimming and snow removal, etc. out to third party contractors so you never really know who is doing the work. Look elsewhere if you are in search of quality landscaping and would like to be treated with respect should you have any concerns. read more

I moved into my house in Waldwick in the winter last year. Starting in the spring I hired Green Meadows to do my landscaping. At first I was extremely happy with there service. But quickly I started to see short cuts and laziness that I could not believe. My lawn has started to look like it is taken care of by amateurs not the professionals they say they are. They seemed to be on there cell phones more often then working on my landscape. They are often rude to my wife. They gawk at her. She says she is uncomfortable being around these people when home by herself. When I called up the company they were very disrespectful and defensive over the phone. Long story short they are no where near worth the money they charge. My recommendation is pay the teenager down the street a fraction of what they charge and you will get better service. read more

Scott and his team were great. They were the best of three potential companies on price to start. Scott did not push other services. They were prompt, professional and the result was terrific.
