Went for midweek lunch wanting a Reuben and saw that on the menu right away. Came with soup, and fries or salad for $12. The food was all delicious and the fries were hot and fresh. Decided to go there with mom since we both were starving after mom s long Dr s visit .we were both satisfied ,Mom enjoyed her chicken fingers and fries ,I myself enjoyed my cheese burger.The service itself is left to be desired,our waitress was not friendly at all and that is only the reason why I am giving Terrace Diner a 3 stars review .Since it's truly close to where I reside I am 90% sure I will return and will try something new on their wide range of choices Menu.Maybe next time I will be assigned a different Waiter or Waitress and my experience will be a much happier one. read more

Food is usually very good ,,, my favorite is their homemade house dressing for their greek salad,,!!! The only issue we have is when call an order in for pick up it's usually wrong or missing something so now we have learned to check the order before we leave. read more

I am beyond disappointed with this Diner. I have placed Grubhub orders with them for the past 1 1/2 years. I also have eaten there the past 15 years and have done takeout as well. The past 5 weeks I have had 4 of my orders missing items. I ordered sandwiches that come with French fries and no fries in my order. I've ordered meals that come with Salads and no salads are in the order. I call the Diner and get the "I'm sorry ". Call Grubhub and maybe they'll discount the order. After 5 instances of the same problem maybe someone is not doing their job!?. I stopped eating there because I got tired of the rude service and the bickering amongst the wait staff talking about each other behind their backs. Not a nice thing to be doing when you are eating. So as of today I will not support this local business as I have for many years since they can't seem to fix the problem and don't seem to want to remedy it as well. There are many other Diners that I am sure want my business and are willing to get it done right. 5 times for me, how many others out there are in the same situation!? read more

This place is hit or miss w food. The service is always very friendly to our daughter. I always go with a burger. It tastes fresh and cooked to order which a rarity in restaurants these days. The kids meals are your typical..chicken fingers, hot dog, Mac and cheese etc. Our daughter is always given a cookie when we leave. It's one of the go to diners on the island because there's never really any problems. Around fall they have great pumpkin pancakes. And the food doesn't seem microwaved. The grease level of their food is low as well. Terrace diner is a safe bet when you need a diner in the area. The place needs to be freshened up a tad that's the only drawback to this diner. read more

Went fathers day. Weird. ordered Build your own omelet includes 2 fillings, $1 @ extra. No prob. I order 4 filllings. waitress says I am not allowed to order more than 3 fillings 2day. I tell her that i understand Its extra 4 @ addition & no problem. She repeats herself I ask why? says, it's too busy 2day. Have you ever? I can understand her telling me they are out of a specific item, but its too BUSY to add an additional filling to my BUILD your own omelet. it wasn't 2 busy.just too weird. read more

Let's start off by saying I kept my meal pretty simple, as I only ordered a French Onion soup & split loaded fries with a friend. The soup was flavorful; however, I was disappointed to see how little soup there actually was once I got through the thick layer of cheese. The loaded waffle fries were tasty (topped with melted cheese, bacon & lots of scallions). My best friend had a cheese quesadilla. Overall I enjoyed my meal, as did she. My first issue here was that our waiter brought my soup out before any of the other food..so I awkwardly waited with my soup in front of me so I wouldn't be eating while my friend wasn't. The next issue is that the waiter we had, although he was very nice, seemed over worked and at times it felt we had to hunt him down. Another issue of mine (don't judge me damnit) is that for $2.29 for a fountain drink you're allowed ONE free refill...I've never heard of such a thing..no seriously, I haven't. Lastly, the sour cream came in this little pre-packaged little thingie (it reminded me of school lunch)...weird. With our two drinks, and meals the total came out to just under $26 which I was fine with. I will return and try something of more substance so I can judge this diner better. read more

This diner is down the street from my house so I wish it was better. The greek salad although just iceberg and other low quality vegis has the best creamy garlicy dressing so sometimes we still stop in. Bad experiences include chicken fingers not cooked all the way through, premade frozen turkey burgers, terrible dry chicken on top of ceaser, lame soggy fries, missing items in takeout conatiners and finally 3 out of 4 family members getting really sick after breakfast a year ago. We stick to soup and greek salad and maybe a grilled cheese (nothing with meat) when we need something close. My 90 year old grandad says the eggplany parm dinner and matzo ball soup are great though. read more

I am going to have to downgrade my review. We visited Terrace twice over the weekend and due to the poor service (which is not typical) and the errors as well as the forgotten items in all of our orders. It may have been an off day for this 1 particular waitress who had us waiting so long for our food and at one point was sitting and chatting with customers, but this 1 particular waitress tends to always have an off day and you know your order and experience is going to turn out not to be a good one. We gave it another try the next day for breakfast, different waitress but our omelettes were like rubber. We will give Terrace a rest for now. read more

Went last night. The first time in years. The young waiter was rude. Service was terrible. I had to keep asking for my drink and napkins. Oh and no silverware. My kids meals were ok. If I could rate this a -10 I would. I placed a delivery this morning and I will never eat from here again. I ordered corn beef hash well done,egg whites, no potatoes, no toast, fresh fruit and. My order arrived ice cold, corn beef hash was raw, they gave me potatoes and toast (which I cannot have due to my own personal reasons) and the fruit was so old it was brown. When I called to let them know they acted as if it was my fault. The waiter that placed my order got on the phone and basically called me a liar to my face. I spent $25.00 on this and threw the entire plate in the trash. This place is by far the worst diner I have been to. Don't even waste your time. read more

The food was so delicious! And the owner and his employees are all very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the florentine Benny and a spinach pie and ate every last bite! Good prices too! Normally we have great service but tonight the service stunk. We waited 20minutes for drinks after having to ask for them. We never received our bread basket that my daughter asked for. Then we had to wait an hour for our food. Most of our food was not even warm or hot. Then when my sister complained to the owner he was very nasty and very condesceding. Went to lunch on Saturday 4-4-15 with my mother and son. We had a great time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great! Love the wall mural. The service could've been improved a bit, it's a little disconcerting when your waitress takes your order without a pad. She also gave us soda refills we didn't ask for. I called in a take out order. I am a pecitarian and had a nice convo with the woman who answered the phone about my salad options. I was satisfied with the convo until she was unsuccessful in giving our order correctly. When we took the order home it was all wrong...my spinach and shrimp salad had hard bacon all over it. The shrimp was not cleaned out and their was wimpy mushrooms and eggs on it that i had not been informed of. The other salad we ordered was supposed to be "the largest salad they could make" as i requested, but instead, it was a side salad and the lettuce tasted dirty. We use to be regulars there. The food over the past couple of years has been inconsistent at best. So has the pricing. Talked to a manager about it the first time and the response was "Depends upon the time of day and how it was entered in the system". The second time was met with a laugh. The LAST I was there the waitress and host both argued with me and refused to complete my order because I did not want a side with a BBQ burger I ordered. .....Really ..... you can not order food if you do not want the fries and are willing to pay the same price.
