This was a great experience. The food was excellent. I had a stuffed blue cheese burger RARE. The cheese was in the middle of the burger and it was rare. Char on the outside and red in the middle. Perfect and delicious. The pulled pork sliders were delicious and the coleslaw on the was great. The beef rib quesadillas were excellent. The sweet potato tots were good but I prefer the fries. The service was excellent. They were crowded but the hostess sat us quickly and the waitress was excellent always available when needed. She even anticipated our needs. I'm going back for sure. I've given this place several chances, hoping each visit would be better than the last, but unfortunately I've been disappointed every time. The biggest issue is the wait. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the food takes far longer than expected. Takeout orders are routinely 15 minutes or more past the quoted pickup time, which is frustrating when you're planning your day around their estimate. Service has also been inconsistent. The waitstaff often seems disorganized, and communication regarding delays is lacking. I understand restaurants get busy, but after multiple visits, the same problems keep occurring. This place for sure deserves 5 stars - while it's a local downtown restaurant/bar, the service is amazing !! We arrived about an hour prior to closing, there were still plenty of people dining. Our server Patrick A+ he was so knowledgeable about the menu - and just seemed really happy, even with it being the end of his shift. All his suggestions were spot on. He made sure to tell us about the restaurants charitable donation program (which I feel makes me want to support this business even more) as it neared closing time - we told Patrick we would hurry up - he told us take our time and not to feel rushed. My friend and I finished our morning walk and we chose this place for post workout brunch. I like that they have a vegan menu for me to select as it's hard to find a brunch place that have vegan choices. My friend ordered the cucumber mocktail and avocado toast. She later ordered the French toast to go. I ordered the vegan burger and salad. I was annoyed when the server brought out the guac and chips appetizer the same time as entree. She thought I want both at the same time but it was never mentioned to her. She was apologetic and very attentive to our table. I get it was a misunderstanding and I know she meant no harm in it. The food was great. The ambiance was nice. It reminds me of a rustic farm to table kind of restaurant. Came back with mom for lunch. Our server was Mike. What a gem! Management needs to give this young man a raise! He was so patient and kind, checked in a few times to make sure all is well. We both ordered green tea with honey. The tea came in large size clear mugs. Nice touch :) I ordered chicken wings with dry spiced rub (delicious ! Juicy and not greasy) 10/10. My mom orders chicken tacos which she enjoyed. It came with a side of rice and beans. We shared some garlic parm potatoes. Finally had a chance to try this place, I've been wanting to try for a while! The moment you walk in, it feels like you're in a family home, it's decorated very cute, and looks bigger on the inside than outside. They have these big natural wood tables that are really nice. And they have tables in the back that are supported by whiskey barrels giving you a relaxed bar feel. They also have balcony sitting outside. I'll have have to sit out there once it's warmer! We were sat at one of those natural wood tables. And our server came over to give us menus and ask for drinks. I ordered ginger beer with raspberry and lime juice. My friend got a espresso martini. The ginger beer drunk was really good it was well balanced and pretty. Then we decided on appetizers we were torn between the calamari or the wings. And we were curious about the gnocchi poppers. We finally decided to get the wings with half thai chili sauce and half garlic parm. I was a bit skeptical, because recently the wings I've gotten at other bars sucked. But I was pleasantly surprised. They were crispy, flavorful and not dry. Actually my chicken was a but undercooked. But it was the biggest piece out of all of them. So I think they just have to make sure to cook their chicken more uniformly or pick pieces of the same size. The gnocchi poppers were cute and tasted great they were so interesting they were round gnocchi balls with cheese breaded and fried. It was kind of reminded me of a Mac & cheese popper with more complexity of flavor. Then we ordered our entrees. I couldn't decide between the chicken sandwich or the crab cake sliders. I eventually went with the crab cake slider, and my friends got the chicken sandwich and the chicken quesadilla. The food came relatively quickly. I was happy about how they all looked. The choice of onion rings wasn't on the menu, but our server mentioned onion rings and salad as a side. I was so excited and got the onion rings to go with my sliders. Service was just fantastic with Dominick our server taking care of every little detail which was a lot with 3 little kids and 3 adults. Food was delicious from the calamari, brussel sprouts and cauliflower appetizers to our main course which was just perfect. Haven't salad, burgers Mac and cheese topped with steak, quesidilla , shrimp over salad and chicken fingers. All came out fast and hot. All worth ordering again. This place is AMAZING. First of all, as I was waiting for my friend, a waiter came over and brought me menus and said "I'm not on shift yet but wanted to give you these to look at while you wait!" I mean, how sweet? Our official waiter, Mike, was a doll. I love that they give back to the community here and they source much of their food locally. That's how you do it, folks. Love that about Restoration. And their menu is fun, creative and with vegan/vegetarian and GF options for all palettes. Plus, if you ask, they have kids menus as well. When I walked through to get to the lovely back patio on a warm summer night I noticed the high chairs. I love when a cool restaurant is also family friendly. If we are eating well, the kids should too. The back patio was really nice too. Umbrellas at each table to cover the sun, lights strung up and small intimate tables. Though the LIRR is across the street, you wouldn't really know it. Everything about this place was A+. Although I dined here with a good friend, next time I'm bringing the family. Parking is easy, there is a muni lot attached to the restaurant. And on a completely unrelated note, the soap in the bathroom was pumpkin pie scented (ha, I love a good smelling soap!) Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner. They don't do reservations, but for a party of two we had no issue being sat right away. Love the rustic look of this place, it feels like you're going Upstate for a cool weekend by the lake. Their outdoor seating options are my personal favorite, especially being able to sit along the covered patio. They also occasionally have live music outside that makes a great pairing for any meal or cocktail outing. Staff were friendly and quick to check in on us for anything that we may have needed, even during what seemed like a decently busy night behind the bar. Food was pretty good, I got their namesake burger, which was a bit overcooked, but the flavors were good, especially if you like a little bit of heat on your burger. We also had the chicken bacon avocado ranch quesadilla, which was the superior of the two, and the perfect execution of a classic. Cocktails were fun and interesting, I got the jam it up old fashioned, a sort of PBJ take on an old fashioned. Very tasty, but a bit sweet, but a great one and done in my opinion and a fun way to riff on a classic cocktail. My date got the peach sangria which was super refreshing and fruity for a summer day. Now the real thing that gets this place their fifth star for me is their social causes they stand for. They partner with local charities to give back to the community and really make the house that they have set themselves up in, feel like a home for everyone that comes in. They have a small lot for parking attached, but also plenty of municipal parking (paid and free) nearby, as well as street parking too. We were introduced to Restoration Kitchen when visiting a friend in Long Island. We ordered the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla ($17) and Restoration Burger ($17). The Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla is made with fried or grilled chicken, tossed in their own buffalo sauce, melted mozzarella cheese drizzled with their own house ranch dressing. Served with a side of sour cream. Delicious! The Restoration burger had fried jalapenos, homemade spicy pickles, sriracha mayo and habanero jack cheese, on top of a juicy patty. We chose sweet potato tots as a side and it was unique to us because we have never had this before. Tasted light and lovely. Our waiter was very friendly, and we love how the restaurant donates all their extra earnings to a chosen charity. The flight has a peppermint, pistachio, s'more's, and chocolate cherry espresso martinis. Holy crap. Delicious. Beautifully presented and amazingly crafted. We are frequent flyers at Restoration! We live local and it is by far our favorite place in town. Nicole is THE BEST server we have ever had by a landslide. She is so sweet, communicative, quick with refills, and honest with her opinion of the drinks/menu. We love seeing her when we stop in. I've come here so many times and love everything they make. I love how rustic it is as well. They just redid some of it and I love how it came out. They redid the bathroom, as shown in the pictures, and the bar, which is behind my husband. They also added four more tables. Which one table goes from an 8 seater to two four seaters. Which I find great, incasd there comes two parties of four. The food is amazing. My husband and I got the fried risotto balls, mozzarella sticks for apps, and I got the restoration wrap and my husband got the Mac melt for dinner. The restoration wrap is Mac and cheese, mozzarella sticks, chicken, and this spicy honey sauce. The Mac melt is Mac and cheese as a grilled cheese. With the Mac melt you can add pulled pork or go the bbq route. Both were DELICIOUS. For drinks I got the lavender lemonade mocktail and my husband got an old fashioned. read more

This may be my second time coming here, my first being under the tent during 2020. This time, food was great and service was swift. Ordered the spinach dip for an appetizer and my friends and I were saying how it may have been the best dip we've had. For the main meals we ordered the Peace Love & Veggies, wrap, salads and Chicken Avocado sammy which came with fries or tater tots. I'm usually not ordering desserts but we ordered the Blondie Jar and Cannoli Jar which were so filling and yum! Emily who was lovely took our lunch order today. The enclosed outdoor seating area is heated and decorated for Xmas. I tryed the guacamole that had bacon and crumbled blue cheese. A nice twist with much flavor. I opted for a glass of red sangria. Although the presentation was beautiful, the lack of alcohol was absent. Don't understand why the restaurants are soo cheap with adding alcohol I also ordered the chicken bacon avocado quesadilla. It was good, not great. This was our first visit to restoration kitchen. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Kind of close to when brunch ended and had to wait a bit for our food. Our waiter explained that and we told him it was OK so long as we could have some cocktails. The cocktails menu is diverse and offers what I believe would be a little something for everybody. I chose the old-fashioned menu and my wife chose the seasonal menu. Both had at least two of our chosen drinks and will probably get again one day. The food took a bit to get out but was very very tasty. All in all we had a great time and look forward to returning there soon. Just a little later after the brunch is cleared out. read more

I ordered the restoration burger which had jalapenos on top with habanero cheese. It was very tasty. I love my burgers rare and they actually did not overcook it. My husband had a restoration wrap which had mac and cheese and chicken fingers in it. He loved it! Our waitress, Emily was so sweet and very attentive. I will definitely be back. We ordered Brussel Sprouts and Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower to start. I liked the cauliflowers, but thought the brussel sprouts were nothing special. For my main entree, I had the Skirt Steak Quesadilla. As you can see from the pictures, it was huge! And it tasted delicious! Only gave it 3 stars bc I've been here before it the food was decent . This time tho.... Everything was bad. Friday night and it was a 25 min wait. Absolutely not a problem. We grabbed a drink at the bar. When we sat, our waitress quickly came over and introduced herself. We were trying to order drinks as she was running away. She finally took our order. When she came back we put in our app and dinner. FORTY FIVE MINS later we find her and flag her down to ask where the app is and if she forgot it, it's okay but please cancel. Just send dinner. Kitchen was not backed up bc two tables around us that sat after already got their apps. Her reply was "well. Usually the apps come out first." 10 mins later it all comes out at the same time and our dinner was cold. She obviously forgot. Which I told her was fine and asks her to cancel. So now almost an hour sitting down and we have gross Mac and cheese balls, a cold burger, and bland hot honey chicken sandwich. read more
