The chicken is a 'pulled' type although I can't tell how, but all the ingredients, including the multigrain bread, were just as they should be. 4.5/5 - Carrot chocolate chip cookies: these look and taste much like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to me, which is to say that I like them. I wish they had a stronger carrot flavour, but I know that's a tall order. These are the doughy, soft type which I don't mind at all. 4/5 Parking is aplenty, staff are quick and friendly, and I love a good local family business. The greenhouse has a large selection of plants, fruits, and vegetables. You can even take your food and sit in the greenhouse as there are tables and chairs. The open fields are a welcome change from being indoors, and you can pick whatever fruits you like. The farm leaves quart containers out on a stand for you to pick up and use while picking fruit, and you just drive to the fields. Then you bring the containers to the register with what you picked. They offer a reasonable price for fresh fruit. It's fun, relaxing, and great for all ages.

The succulents are about $5.50 and the pots are $1-10 dollars based on size! I cannot rave enough about this farm and this community. We absolutely love it here for the past 11 years!

Our group was assembled with two adults and two kids: we all thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful trip out there. First off, we were encouraged to pick fresh herbs & flowers all for free! Matilda loved it so much she squealed with joy as we ran through the rows of plants and picked flowers. We all left very happy and was glad we made the to trek out there. The kids loved seeing the home where our summer vegetables were grown and we had a lovely hand picked center piece for our dinner table that night.

Okay, these were seriously good. When I showed up around 10:30 on a recent Saturday morning, the air smelled of freshly frying donuts. It's always a good sign. And while there were donuts on the counter, when I asked if I could get any hot donuts the clerk went into the back and pulled out some steaming hot specimens. That may not sound like such a big deal, but as we say in this part of the world, it's huge. Hot apple cider donuts are so much better than their room temperature version. Which isn't to say that just because a donut is hot, it will be good. I've had my share of hot and disappointing cider donuts too. The hot apple cider donuts at Boehm Farm were delightful. Perfect? No. But absolutely great. And if you're into exploring the farms and orchards in and around the Capital Region, it's definitely worth your time, as I would put this small, off the beaten path orchard, in the top third of the ones I've visited. Maybe even in the top quarter. More than anything, it makes me think. If Boehm Farm has been hiding in plain sight all these years, how many other excellent orchards remain to be discovered by those relatively recent arrivals to the region? Farms! We've got 'em. And you should visit and support as many of our regional growers as possible. Remember: no farms, no food. Plus, they are charming and magical places. Especially in the fall.
