flooding window well
Michael H.

Good contractors, absolutely terrible management, follow-through, and design. They signed on to our egress and waterproofing project in late 2019 and here we are, in December of 2020, and we still aren't done. This is because: 1. Without asking us they changed all the permit drawings, and submitted a design that would not work. We had to resubmit the original drawings after we found out about the changes and called out their mistakes. 2. The ordered all the wrong size windows and had to delay the project 2 months farther 3. They still have not installed ladders, window well covers, or hooked up the drains for the window wells. Because of this, our window wells have filled with water and the siding and wall assembly is getting soaked. I'll update this review to describe the problems in more detail later, but for now I need to stop my basement from flooding. Only reason I didn't give them 1 star was their workers and laborers, who are skilled, kind, and hard working. They're stuck with a terrible management structure, but every time Terra Firma has been able to get the right materials and plans together to actually perform the work we're paying them for the craftsmanship has been top notch.

Porch Repair
Jim S.

I had a sinking porch and sinking driveway. I had addressed the porch with another company about 7 years ago and they were completely out of the ballpark for just the porch repair. Our driveway became a problem over the last couple of years and my wife stumbled over the trip hazard more than once and begged me to find a way to solve this. I located TerraFirma and asked for a quote. The associate that came on sight was amazing - his presentation was so good, I cancelled the appointment for a second quote and asked TerraFirma to do the project. BTW - they were 1/3 the price for the entire project from what the other company quoted 7 years ago for just the porch. The technicians arrived today and from start to finish were grade A++. I would do a commercial for this company - best experience ever!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Richard Stewart was our sales person who came to our house to look at our problem and give us a quote, Bree Larson was our customer service rep, and Colin was the leading man in our actual repair. We are new home owners, who had ground water intrusion and straight up FLOODING in our basement right after month 2 of moving in. We did hours and hours of research, had at least 10 companies come to look at the problem and give us their opinion/quote, before we decided on TerraFirma. Mind you we had literally no idea what to do and were just trying to follow our gut to choose the right company. Every step of the way Richard, Bree, and Colin were so kind, quick to respond, and so extremely knowledgable. We felt so safe in their hands and are so incredibly grateful to have our basement completely waterproofed. Colin waterproofed our retaining wall, dug interior drains around the perimeter of the problem rooms, and installed an underground sump pump that filters into our downspout outside of our house to pump the water out from underneath our home. Groundwater, and water in general, is an absolute nightmare and Colin knew everything - as well as took the time to walk us through and explain his work every step of the way. So thorough, so neat, we are elated. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Stop your search here, this is the company you want, hands down.

I previously had an excellent experience with Terra Firma for management of a water problem in my crawlspace.

First of all, there are a few trades you want to be careful about going with the lowest bid…read more Concrete is one of them. You get a fly-by-night crew messing up your concrete, and there's no easy solution. I got three bids on my patio. Sione's was the most expensive. But in the walk-thru, Paul noticed things the other contractors didn't. He asked really good questions and provided a price quickly. His decades of experience was evident. So I decided to spend more and use him. He and his crew didn't disappoint. I wanted an arc on the end of the patio, and they worked on the form until I was happy with it. They answered all my questions and I had a lot. I'd overseen a lot of commercial concrete in my career, but was unfamiliar with several things they did during this residential job. It wasn't wrong, it was just unfamiliar. They explained why they were doing what they were doing, so I withheld judgment until the end. There were a couple of details in their prep work I wasn't happy with. They changed them without complaint or argument. And they cleaned up after they were done. On top of everything else, the crew was amazingly fast. Concrete is brutal work, but these guys moved like a well-oiled machine. The result was a beautiful product. No low spots, perfect slope, clean joint, beautiful radiused edges. I will definitely use them again when I'm ready to replace my old driveway. And I will recommend them to anyone I know looking for quality concrete work.

Paul and his crew are amazing! They just finished up what started as concrete work around our home…read moreand grew to other things, including painting the exterior. They really seem to be good at many things, so just because their business name says "concrete construction", if you have any work that needs to be completed, call Paul and run it by him. If his crews can't do it, he will recommend someone for the job. Unfortunately, we have experienced a dishonest/unethical contractor in the past, and Paul has proved to be honest and has integrity with fair pricing.

Awful company. I got work done a year ago and decided not to leave a review however I'm STILL…read morehaving issues, so here goes. Original plan was not followed. I had to get all the way to a supervisor to get the crew to stop working. They did in fact need to change the design but never reviewed it with me. A third design had to be done and they still put the sump pump right in front of my hot water heater, they did not pitch the one side enough so water sits there, left my driveway full of small and large metal shavings (and I have 2 young kids and 2 dogs who run in the backyard), did not clean up other materials, did not remove the dirt they dug up in the basement (told me I had to pay extra, you would think for 24k it'd be included. They also went to dig up my patio to run the water line, which could have been adjusted a few feet to not dig up an entire patio- again, no one would listen until I spoke to that one supervisor again, it was unreal. There were multiple times they were scheduled to come and never showed or showed on a different day then was scheduled, at least 4 times, and the crew had no idea. Fast forward to my yearly inspection, where he recommended I get a dehumidifier, and I was confused bc I paid to get one (that was one of my main things before I got talked into upgrading to a 24k job). They NEVER installed the dehumidifier and there has been new mold growth. They were not forthcoming with pics but sent a crew to spray, the crew had no idea what they were spraying for. They finally installed the dehumidifier and now I'm waiting for them to return to fix the encapsulation which is pulling apart, for the thousands of dollars it was, it was not worth it. The entire job was not worth it (3 columns designed to hold up large buildings, used to hold up my tiny house), encapsulation, dug around the edges, put in a sump pump, and now the dehumidifier. I would NOT recommend!!!!
