I felt so bad for her. They know that the medical assistant should have had that taken care of before the NP student came to see me. I felt they were taking advantage of her like many employers do to students on internships. The NP student was very kind. She was very knowledgeable. She's the first to ever mention an issue that has been looked over by physicians for years. She was great. Dr. Stoll walks in after my time with the NP with samples of new medication to give me. I kindly declined them... no thanks to new medication I didn't ask for nor needed to change. She seemed as if she trusted the NP (which I did too) and so there wasn't much to the visit with Dr. Stoll. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I do not want to seek care there again... My PT sessions alternated between Maggie and Kris twice a week until late May, when my visits tapered off to once a week until completion of my therapy in mid- to late-June. Both Maggie and Kris are consummate professionals, friendly and engaging but also acutely aware of what I could (and couldn't do) at the various stages of my recovery. Without their help, I would not have recovered as quickly - and as strongly - as I did. They were very knowledgeable, while still being careful, about expanding my ankle's range of motion and building its strength, which in turn gave me more confidence in the progress of my recovery. Because of their prudent treatment and careful prodding, I was starting neighborhood walks by late March, resumed bike riding in early May, and started hitting golf balls again in mid-May. By the end of May, I was taking 25 mile bike rides and playing 18 holes of golf - well ahead of my anticipated recovery schedule. When GLP-1's became a way for him to make a little extra money, my GP - the guy who refused to even talk about weight loss medications by the way (except for Medifast, which tastes like you're licking the ground) decided to offer them to his patients. Desperate to get my numbers under control, I paid $1500 for 4 months of shots. I spent the first 8 weeks with no side-effects, that I knew of, the exhaustion I felt was horendous, couldn't work out and then the nausea set in - add the two of those together, the inability to get up and not eat, I was a slug. My GP didn't have a check-in shchedule, and I was not given any advice on how to do the GLP-1 successfully. Which, if you're wondering, I wasn't at first. I didn't lose any weight until my 12th week - right after Dr. Dae and I had our 1st conversation. The first thing she suggested was blood work. I've had two pregnancies, both of which have been high risk and overseen by Dr. Kelly. The first was a very difficult pregnancy that had a lot of complications. Dr. Kelly saw me once a week to keep a close eye on my health and helped my husband and I to navigate the most difficult thing we've ever experienced. Dr. Kelly was kind, caring, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgable. I knew I was in good hands and we made it through thanks to her. With my second pregnancy came gestational diabetes (I don't have very good luck, do I?!). I was already considered high risk due to my first pregnancy, so I had been seeing Dr. Kelly prior to my GD diagnosis. The nurse checked in with me weekly to monitor my numbers and was always super helpful and professional. With Dr. Kelly's help, along with the amazing staff and nurse, I made it through and delivered a healthy baby boy. For those who have complained about the time they've spent waiting I will say this: when you see Dr. Kelly she will take the time to sit with you and answer every single question you may have and you'll never feel rushed. Every patient gets that same level of care, so if you're sitting there wondering what's taking so long keep in mind that the patient before you may be going through some very scary and complicated things and may have a million questions.
