We stayed at a 3 bedroom villa and the week flew by. The rooms were spacious, well kept, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We had our own private plunge pool to soak in whenever we wanted to. You are greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and they gifted the kids an adorable sugar turtle cookie when we departed! They offer sample drinks and popsicles at the pools. Their attention to detail is flawless and everything is well thought out. The resort has an adults only pool, a family infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and another shallow kids pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and was never too busy. The food was fantastic from the poolside kitchen to the on site property restaurants to the private chefs. Honestly some of the best food I've had in my life. The spa is world class and I highly recommend it. We had some of the best nail service, massages, and facials ever. Everyone is well trained and very skilled and experienced in their area of expertise. They have complimentary golf carts that take you anywhere on the property and we never had to wait for one. Everyone is so friendly, inviting, and professional. I truly appreciated everyone's hospitality and warmth. The best part was our private butler who cooked our meals, arranged all activities and transportation off the property, did laundry, and even found our missing shoes that flew across the resort! lol. We heard nothing but raving reviews from our guests about the rooms and cleanliness of the entire resort. I already had family and friends asking when we can come back for our anniversaries lol. Now for our wedding: The planning through Casa Dorada's wedding coordinator, Katherine Anaya, was seamless and so easy. I can't express enough how amazing she was to handle everything for my husband and I since we are from California. The location of the resort is perfectly on the beach with nearby bars and restaurants. Yes you can hear the music from the bars but it stops at 9:30/10pm. Didn't hear any complaints from any of ours guests (ages 25-83). The wedding ceremony and reception was at the 12 Tribes Terrace and they really transformed the atmosphere to be exactly how I envisioned the wedding! If you're hesitant about doing a destination wedding in Cabo, I researched about 20 resorts and landed on Casa Dorada because of the value, location and how beautiful the resort looks. We are so happy with how our wedding came out and how amazing the staff is at this resort. We want to highlight our amazing wedding planner (through the resort) Katherine Anaya who handled everything for us and made sure the whole wedding experience was stress free and seamless for us. Her first impression through email with me truly made me feel her hospitality and kindness. Meeting her in person for our pre-wedding trip January 2026 just solidified that we have an amazing person helping create our wedding vision and bring it to life! She even went as far as having a custom wedding slideshow playing in our hotel room that had our pictures from our wedding website. For our wedding in April 2026, Rene remembered us and gave nothing short of excellent service during our entire wedding week when we saw him or ate at the 12 Tribes restaurant. Rene was actually a server during our wedding and was making sure everything was going smoothly and made sure we felt at home. Two more people who are worth mentioning: Heriberto at the swim-up bar and Michele at the B Bar. Two awesome people who love what they do. They remembered us each time we came back to them. I spoke to him and told him he should be nicer. He was drunk and decided to hit on me, which is insane. I kept saying, no, you need to be nicer to your girlfriend. He kept pushing me. He decided he wouldn't take no for an answer after I told him I didn't want to be hit on or talk to him. He became increasingly aggressive. I tried to keep de-escalating. He told me that we WOULD get to know each other. He pushed his phone to me with his Instagram. It was full of pictures of naked women. I went to the host desk. I smiled, so I wouldn't upset him further. I kept smiling and told them I needed him to go away. He came up behind me. They called hotel security, who quickly came over. The man (Ryan) left with his bottle of wine. Security escorted me to my room. I saw him waving from the balcony of a room above mine, very near. I asked to be moved. I was frightened. They changed my room, but I did not sleep the entire night. The next morning, I spoke to the manager, Francisco Escuer. He told me: "I watched the tape, you were talking to the man and smiling. You smiled at the host stand. Why were you smiling if you were asking for help to get away from that guy?" I said, "Because he was coming after me, and that's what women do, so we don't aggravate men we know are dangerous." He said, "Well, his girlfriend didn't report anything." Again, I said: "Women don't report abusers because they are not believed, just like you are not believing me." Escuer also screamed at me and accused me of recording our conversation. He made physical gestures toward me during this. I told him I needed the tape, his information and the hotel's information. He refused to give me anything and yelled at me. I had to check out, pay for that stay, and another hotel. Escuer/the hotel are not safe for women.

Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was incredibly calming. The resort also offers beach access, and guests can borrow beach chairs and other items to relax by the water. There are several pools on-site, including a swim-up bar, and they often have live music in the evenings, which added to the atmosphere. The only downside was the on-site restaurant--the food was mediocre, so we preferred cooking in the room or going out to eat. There is a BBQ area available for guests, which was a nice option. I would definitely come back, though I'm not a fan of being approached by timeshare representatives.

Apparently people who live on the east coast of the US found the weather to be like their own, but as a Californian, all I wanted to do was stay inside ALL day. Having a kitchen was a big plus so we could prepare an easy and fast breakfast of oatmeal in the morning before fishing. Moreover, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots/pans, plates/bowls, glasses, mugs, flatware, glass storage containers with lids, a full-size fridge, a stovetop/oven, microwave, coffee maker with filters, a dishwasher and an electric tea kettle. One of the BIG things missing from the kitchen were places to charge devices. Hidden in a cramped corner of the kitchen counter was only one outlet. Moreover, you'd have to have a long cord to reach your device. If I knew then what I know now, I would have spent my days cooking inside the kitchen and dining in our suite with its powerful A/C rather than driving into town for every meal and enduring the heat, humidity and flies. In addition to a kitchen, there was an in-room washer and dryer with laundry pods located above the fridge. Because there was construction, the power must have been turned off because the washing machine stopped mid-cycle. As for the two bedrooms, they were spacious and the beds were comfortable as was the pull-out couch. Every room had a fan and TV. Only the primary room had a safe. While the secondary toilet worked, you did have wait between flushes or else the toilet would not flush. As for our garden view, we were all pleasantly surprised that it was much more. On the balcony, half the view was blocked by another building undergoing construction, but the other half was the view of the resort below and of the ocean which included the Arch of Cabo San Lucas in the far distance. Speaking of the balcony, there was a seating area plus table, 2 lounge chairs, and a hot tub. With the weather so very hot in August, we opted not to try out the hot tub. However, early in the morning, the lounge chairs made for a good quiet time when it wasn't so hot. Otherwise, the inside had great A/C making our stay comfortable. Inside the gym there was A/C (yay!) and a bottled water dispenser, a selection of weights, but only one set each of 5 lbs or 10 lbs, not 8 lbs or 12lbs and Life Fitness equipment, but no Peloton. If you forget to bring your AirPods, you can rent from the desk. Speaking of AirPods, when I was looking for my AirPods on the plane back to CA, I realized I had left them in the gym at the Hyatt. Aiya! When I arrived in San Diego, I called different numbers to access the front desk who found someone to look for the AirPods in the gym. Fortunately, someone found them and kept it at the front desk. In order to have them returned to me, Hyatt suggested a courier which I was about to do until I remembered my cousin was going to be in Cabo a week later. As instructed, my cousin texted before arriving, but no one replied. When my cousin arrived at the Hyatt, the AirPods were at the front desk waiting for him to pick-up. Resort amenities included 3 different pools with great views, but they were difficult to use with the weather being so uncomfortably hot. Additionally, there was a cornhole game, ping-pong, beach rentals which included PFDs because the beach surf was quite rough and two BBQs. At set times, there were games in the pool and crafts for adults/kids for a fee, but due to scheduling, I did not participate. To access the beach, follow the signs and it's a few flights down. Remember to bring your room card because you'll need it to get back in the door you exited. As a word of caution, don't forget where you exited because on my return, I went past our gate and couldn't understand why my card wouldn't work on the gate I was trying to get in. Fortunately, a construction worker took pity on me and let me in, but it was not the right place, so the construction worker helped me out again to get back out. While I thought the shore was rough, there was one teen gal who had a PFD and floating wherever the water took her. For parking, we self-parked as I needed the car in the early morning for fishing and in the evenings for meals and shopping and I didn't want to depend on someone every time I wanted to use the car. Speaking of my rental car, there's a sharp pothole as you leave the Hyatt and onto the frontage road to access the highway. Because I didn't see the pothole, I ran over it and it severely damaged my tire causing me to have to buy a new tire because insurance doesn't cover tire replacement or repair for that matter. Please fix the pothole so this doesn't happen to other guests.

There is a trolly that takes you around and if you eat at the carbon grill that was one of my best meals there!!!!

Waiting that long for dinner every night is simply unacceptable, especially when you're on vacation. We spent more time waiting for food than enjoying our evenings. It is also clear that the property is not being maintained the way it used to be. Many areas of the resort are showing signs of wear, and several things appeared to be broken or in need of repair. The entertainment has also declined significantly compared to our previous visits. The shows and overall atmosphere just don't have the same energy or quality that made Breathless stand out years ago. What is most disappointing is that while prices have increased dramatically over the years, the overall quality has gone in the opposite direction. It feels like costs have gone up while corners have been cut in nearly every aspect of the guest experience--from the food quality and restaurant service to the entertainment and upkeep of the resort. It genuinely saddens me to write this because I have recommended Breathless Cabo to friends and family for years based on my previous experiences. Unfortunately, after this visit, I can no longer recommend it with confidence. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and invests in restoring the level of quality that made this resort so special. I would never know if any of them were having a bad day because of how nice they all were. BIG Shout out to Ceci (Cecelia), Rubi, and Theresa at the spa. They were incredible massage therapists and worked out the knots we had with an expert touch. (I traveled with family and I did not pay for my All Inclusive, so I cannot speak to the value for the price)
