We loved staying at Terrasol! We were right on the beach and could hear the ocean waves. The 3 bedroom 3 bath condo we stayed in was plenty of room for our family of 6. The swim up pool bar / restaurant was wonderful and inexpensive! They are open 9 am - 6 pm. The food was fresh, high quality, and made on the spot. It was very easy to eat gluten free. They have corn tortilla options. The drinks were fantastic! I recommend pina coladas, margaritas, and mjitos. Most drinks are about $5-6 and most food is $8-10. You cannot get in the ocean here, but the 3 pools are fantastic and very clean. One of the pools is heated and feels like bath water in late afternoon. It's about a ten minute walk to the marina, where there are lots of restaurants, shops, pharmacys, etc. I think Senor Frogs may be the closest restaurant. I didn't go there, but I went to Captain Tony's, which was great. Only complaints are the loud construction during the week, the pool bar/restaurant unexpectedly closed for a couple of days, and that the amazing pool bar/restaurant doesn't stay open later!

This place is wonderful! You can rent condos right on the beach with fully equipped kitchens, with everything you could ever need for your vacation. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating for all your needs. They can rent you a car and get it delivered right to you. Sign you up for sunset cruises & all sorts of tours. Much better than staying at a hotel, stay at someone's house to make you feel right at home! There are multiple pools, one with a tiki bar that serves breakfast every morning as well.

Wow. Just wow. 5 stars all around!!!!…read more I don't have a single complaint about the Waldorf which really blew my mind. Yes it is quite pricey but for once, the price is justified by the impeccable customer service, room quality, and maintenance of this resort. It is the perfect blend of modern and elegance and screams luxury without trying too hard. It's close to the marina as well so easy access to other restaurants, shopping, and tours. We stayed at a 3 bedroom villa and the week flew by. The rooms were spacious, well kept, clean, and stocked with everything you need. We had our own private plunge pool to soak in whenever we wanted to. You are greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and they gifted the kids an adorable sugar turtle cookie when we departed! They offer sample drinks and popsicles at the pools. Their attention to detail is flawless and everything is well thought out. The resort has an adults only pool, a family infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and another shallow kids pool. Plenty of lounge chairs and was never too busy. The food was fantastic from the poolside kitchen to the on site property restaurants to the private chefs. Honestly some of the best food I've had in my life. The spa is world class and I highly recommend it. We had some of the best nail service, massages, and facials ever. Everyone is well trained and very skilled and experienced in their area of expertise. They have complimentary golf carts that take you anywhere on the property and we never had to wait for one. Everyone is so friendly, inviting, and professional. I truly appreciated everyone's hospitality and warmth. The best part was our private butler who cooked our meals, arranged all activities and transportation off the property, did laundry, and even found our missing shoes that flew across the resort! lol. Our butler Ricardo was amazing and such a delight to have. This is a once in a lifetime experience that everyone must indulge in. It's worth it.

Other than that, best stay i've ever had in terms of everything. Room, aesthetics, service, and location. It also comes with a fire place, which comes in handy at night. The room is also equipped with binoculars for whale watching, very thoughtful. The service was top tier, better than Ritz Carlton and other Wardolf location I've stayed at. You get a personal concierge that can help you with whatever you need 24/7. Shout out to my concierge Raquel, she made the stay so much smoother. The location is prime. Walking distance from a lot of restaurants, bars, and clubs. If you don't want to walk uber's about $5-10 bucks.

The resort lobby has a very high cupola ceiling with an oculus at the top: lots of light and a nice airy feeling all around. Marble and wood and glass, plus comfortable high back chairs make you want to linger and chat while sipping a welcome to the resort margarita. There were six of us on vacation, we did the all-inclusive so didn't have anything but ourselves to lug around, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Playa Grande; from a great buffet and omelette station at breakfast, to the swim up bar, dinners at Brigantine, and the beach Fiesta on the second night. Colima restaurant is where we had breakfast : omelette station, great assortment of yogurts, fruit cups, smoked salmon, pancakes, eggs that are scrambled or poached (besides the omelette station) bacon and sausages... Mimosa at the table, orange and green juice at the buffet area; there is a full bar at Colima should you want something more. I am sorry I didn't make a note of our server's name here, he was polite and friendly and deserved a mention. I have more photos but can't seem to upload them now, maybe too many all together, so I'll add them later. We had a great time at this resort, enjoyed the days together with our friends, got tanned and had excellent service from everyone. In the lobby area there's a bar that makes good cocktails, fries and calamari, burgers. One night after dinner they made us Mexican coffees where we were sitting, it's so fun to watch the liquors flame up as they're poured into the glasses in metal holders :)) and very good to drink. The beach isn't a swimmable one at all, the currents and tides are very strong with two water systems colliding here at the end of Baja California sur. At night sleeping with the windows open I could hear my beloved ocean and feel a lovely breeze. Thank you to everyone at the resort that we interacted with: you were all fantastic! ¡Gracias, y espero volver a verte!

I spoke to him and told him he should be nicer. He was drunk and decided to hit on me, which is insane. I kept saying, no, you need to be nicer to your girlfriend. He kept pushing me. He decided he wouldn't take no for an answer after I told him I didn't want to be hit on or talk to him. He became increasingly aggressive. I tried to keep de-escalating. He told me that we WOULD get to know each other. He pushed his phone to me with his Instagram. It was full of pictures of naked women. I went to the host desk. I smiled, so I wouldn't upset him further. I kept smiling and told them I needed him to go away. He came up behind me. They called hotel security, who quickly came over. The man (Ryan) left with his bottle of wine. Security escorted me to my room. I saw him waving from the balcony of a room above mine, very near. I asked to be moved. I was frightened. They changed my room, but I did not sleep the entire night. The next morning, I spoke to the manager, Francisco Escuer. He told me: "I watched the tape, you were talking to the man and smiling. You smiled at the host stand. Why were you smiling if you were asking for help to get away from that guy?" I said, "Because he was coming after me, and that's what women do, so we don't aggravate men we know are dangerous." He said, "Well, his girlfriend didn't report anything." Again, I said: "Women don't report abusers because they are not believed, just like you are not believing me." Escuer also screamed at me and accused me of recording our conversation. He made physical gestures toward me during this. I told him I needed the tape, his information and the hotel's information. He refused to give me anything and yelled at me. I had to check out, pay for that stay, and another hotel. Escuer/the hotel are not safe for women.

We heard nothing but raving reviews from our guests about the rooms and cleanliness of the entire resort. I already had family and friends asking when we can come back for our anniversaries lol. Now for our wedding: The planning through Casa Dorada's wedding coordinator, Katherine Anaya, was seamless and so easy. I can't express enough how amazing she was to handle everything for my husband and I since we are from California. The location of the resort is perfectly on the beach with nearby bars and restaurants. Yes you can hear the music from the bars but it stops at 9:30/10pm. Didn't hear any complaints from any of ours guests (ages 25-83). The wedding ceremony and reception was at the 12 Tribes Terrace and they really transformed the atmosphere to be exactly how I envisioned the wedding! If you're hesitant about doing a destination wedding in Cabo, I researched about 20 resorts and landed on Casa Dorada because of the value, location and how beautiful the resort looks. We are so happy with how our wedding came out and how amazing the staff is at this resort. We want to highlight our amazing wedding planner (through the resort) Katherine Anaya who handled everything for us and made sure the whole wedding experience was stress free and seamless for us. Her first impression through email with me truly made me feel her hospitality and kindness. Meeting her in person for our pre-wedding trip January 2026 just solidified that we have an amazing person helping create our wedding vision and bring it to life! She even went as far as having a custom wedding slideshow playing in our hotel room that had our pictures from our wedding website. The attention to detail Katherine gives is beyond what I could've ever imagined from anyone! Another person I want to mention was Rene at the 12 Tribes Restaurant. We met him during our pre-wedding trip and he handled everything with ease for our signature His/Her drinks and our food tasting samples. Right away his great hospitality and kind spirit could immediately be seen and felt. For our wedding in April 2026, Rene remembered us and gave nothing short of excellent service during our entire wedding week when we saw him or ate at the 12 Tribes restaurant. Rene was actually a server during our wedding and was making sure everything was going smoothly and made sure we felt at home. Two more people who are worth mentioning: Heriberto at the swim-up bar and Michele at the B Bar. Two awesome people who love what they do. They remembered us each time we came back to them. They remembered our drink orders and truly made us feel like family there. If you're thinking about a wedding at Casa Dorada, my advice to you is do it and you won't regret it. It truly felt like our home away from home. Muchas gracias Casa Dorada!!! We will definitely be back! This isn't goodbye, but see you soon!!

To make matters worse, construction workers were using the area around the infinity pool, with large wooden beams blocking parts of the space. The constant sound of power drills and other construction equipment during the daytime completely ruined any chance of resting by the pool or relaxing in our room. Had we known that major construction was taking place, we would have chosen a different hotel. I understand that maintenance and improvements are sometimes necessary, but guests should be informed in advance, and the hotel should make every effort to minimize the impact on their stay. The food was consistently good, and the Lazy River is definitely the standout feature and biggest selling point of the property. The rooms and grounds were well maintained, making for an enjoyable stay overall. That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short. Pool service was inconsistent, and there often seemed to be a shortage of pool towels. Entertainment options were limited, and with only three restaurants on-site, dining choices felt somewhat restricted. Of the three, Latitud 23.5 was by far the best and the one we found ourselves returning to most often. Guests should also be prepared for a fairly aggressive timeshare presentation pitch. Additionally, the advertised complimentary 45-minute massage per room for direct online bookings appeared to be more of a marketing gimmick, as multiple staff members seemed unaware of the promotion during our stay. While we had a pleasant experience overall, we're likely to try a different resort next year. The Lazy River was the highlight, but the overall experience wasn't quite enough to bring us back.

Failure to Honor Group Code Benefits, Poor Room Conditions, and Unresolved Billing Errors…read more Our recent stay at Pueblo Bonito Sunset was marred by multiple service failures, misleading pricing practices, and unresolved billing issues. We booked an all‑inclusive Junior Suite using a group code for a milestone birthday celebration. The reservationist justified the $400+ price increase over the website rate by promising additional perks and cancellation coverage. None of these promised perks were honored. Beyond the pricing concerns, the room itself was disappointing. The décor was noticeably dated, the bath towels were thin and worn, and at one point the toilet overflowed, requiring attention that should never be necessary at a resort of this caliber. The resort grounds also proved to be highly inconvenient. The property is not walkable, forcing guests to rely entirely on golf‑cart shuttle service to move between areas. Wait times ranged anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, making simple tasks unnecessarily time‑consuming. Additionally, the resort's remote location leaves guests with no access to outside entertainment or dining. You feel completely locked in with no alternatives beyond the resort compound. The birthday dinner at LaFrieda on July 10th was the most troubling experience. Following our server's direction, we ordered items included in the all‑inclusive plan and consumed no alcohol. We were nevertheless charged $91.43, plus an inexplicable $45.47 service charge--half the bill. When we questioned the charges, multiple servers told us they could not assist and directed us to dispute it at the front desk. We filed a dispute with Ulysses the next day, but when we attempted to settle our account on July 12th, the service charge was still present, along with an unexpected $4.50 Letty Foundation fee that we did not authorize. After re‑explaining the situation to Gabriella, we were again told no adjustment could be made. Between the unfulfilled group‑code perks, the poor room conditions, the lack of walkability, the remote and restrictive location, and the inability to resolve clear billing errors, this stay fell far below expectations. What should have been a celebratory vacation became a frustrating and disappointing experience.
