A really beautiful and perfectly located spot to enjoy Cabo with several pools, restaurants, beach access (non-swimmable due to safety), and a short walk to the marina! This is such a relaxing resort to be at and we found the restaurant options were perfect for easy meals throughout the day. It's also so easy to order food and drinks by the pools. 1 star off because we stayed in the Ridge, which is a nice spot but a pretty far walk from the "main" resort area. Not a bad walk but there is a pretty large hill to walk up and down to get back to the room.
Great stay. Super friendly. Affordable and great service. Amenities were perfect and staff were great. Definitely recommend ad a great stay in Cabo.
Definitely the best resort in Cabo! Only been to a few but WOW! This place is incredible! From the architecture to the rooms, the services and dining options to the many pools and the perfect location! This resort takes the cake! Located at the southern end of the marina but mostly facing the ocean on the other side. We stayed in the Ridge which is at the north end of the resort, overlooking the marina so you can see all the boats coming in and out as well as the cruise ships... and at night the well lit night life is beautiful! But also from the Ridge there's incredible views of the ocean where you can see the waves crashing on the beach, the cruise ships coming and going and the whales put on a fantastic show! That's how close they swim to the beach! Our favorite pool was the one on the beach! Yes! It literally edges up to the sand with an infinity pool edge separating you from the sand. The bar and food service is incredible and shout out to Daniel for taking such great care of us! The next pool over is nice and there's plenty of activities to participate in. They even have games like dominoes and backgammon...and tables to play at. We loved our 2 BR suite! So clean, comfy beds, kitchen has everything you need, beds are comfy and daily maid service. The bathroom/shower towels could use an upgrade though! They're rough! Nasty texture! Go softer please!? Also, getting the meal plan (all inclusive) is a must!! For $115 each per day? Absolutely worth it! The prices for food and drink are so expensive! Same if not more than California. Mexico is not an inexpensive vacation anymore like it used to be (I think it began to drastically change in the late 90"s?) Seriously! Look no further! My husband and I loved our week long visit and highly recommend staying here!!
Semi aged out timeshare resort. As the rooms become 20~30 yrs old, beds are hard, pillows and sheets are inferior quality, and resorts starts to surcharge for functional WiFi and premium lounge chairs ( for owners ). Qualify falls each year . Mgmt focuses on surcharging, and the resort amenities go away. For a discount price on red week, or a gift from a "owner" that no longer wants to go (stuck paying maintenance - which is more than the resort is worth), it's worth going at a huge discount. Just lower your expectations and all is good. Don't get suckered to buy into this resort. I've seen the same with Pueblo Bonito too. After they get 20 yrs old - they're all bleeding and each year, quality diminishes at a rapid pace.
Love this place my wife and her family have been coming here for almost 30 years they have everything you can think of good restaurants all inclusive walking distance from everything.
I booked a week's stay at the Playa Grande Resort in Cabo to celebrate my sister's birthday. The Concierge contacted me before our trip to arrange round-trip transportation from the airport at a very reasonable price. Our transportation was easy to find once we landed. They loaded us up and drove to the resort we were greeted by the concierge who took our baggage. The checking process was super easy and only took a few minutes. They also had complimentary mango margaritas while you waited. After check-in, we went to our room and boy were we surprised by the size of the one bedroom master suite. It had a huge balcony that overlooked the whole Courtyard where you could see the pools, beach, and some restaurants. It was an absolutely gorgeous breath-taking view. The separate bedroom had it's on balcony, a king sized bed, a huge bathroom with both a shower and a huge tub. The living room had a fold-out full-size couch, a little hide a bed/cot, a dining room table that seated up to 6 people, and a pretty large kitchen with all amenities. The 2nd bathroom that was off the living room and had a huge walk-in shower. Now let's talk about the staff. They were so attentive, nice, friendly, and accommodating. Any request that we had was met almost immediately. It was amazing service. Lorena was our housekeeper for the week and she was phenomenal. She was very personable and did an excellent job. She even surprised us a couple of days with a bunny and a cat that she made out of towels. What a great added touch They had several restaurants at the resort, but we pretty much hung out at the sports bar. Because we like to watch the Padre games. And that's where we met Julio, who was our server the first night. Talk about a great guy. He gave such great service, was personable, and was funny with a good sense of humor, so we kept going back every day because of Julio. The food was also excellent. The calamari, shrimp caesar salad, garlic shrimp, the ribs, and talk about fresh sea bass fish tacos, they were to die for. The last night, I ordered the beef tenderloin, and I have to tell you that's the best steak that I've had in my entire life. The way it was seared and seasoned was perfection. We did hang out at the swim up bar one day. Andres makes an excellent Bloody Mary. We ordered a surf and turf burrito for lunch and it was outstanding. After lunch we went to the main pool and did pool aerobics with Ricardo. Talk about a gin time. We got a good workout and laughed so much fun. He had such a great personality. We were just here to relax so we didn't do any of the excursions. Or use the spa facility so I can't speak to those. We would definitely stay here again. But, if it's just two of us traveled, we would get a junior suite because we didn't need as much space as a one bedroom master suite provided. The service was excellent. It was definitely the best food we've ever had in any of our travels. We did not have a bad meal anywhere. Overall I would rate our stay a 10/10. In a review, people always want to know about the negative things. There wasn't anything really major but here are the only 4 negatives that I can think of. 1) The Wi-Fi was weak, so we paid extra for the Premium Wi-Fi, but it kept going in and out. They sent a tech guy up to fix it, but the fix only lasted 5 minutes. The 2nd tech guy that they sent the next morning fixed the problem. 2) They had very few electrical outlets in the kitchen, bedroom, bathrooms and living room. 3) The batteries in both remote controls had to be replaced. One of them, more than once 4) Since it's a private resort, they don't allow Uber drivers to come and pick you up on the property, only taxis. Taxis cost more than twice the amount of Uber, so if you want to use an Uber, you have to meet them down at the gate, which is more than reasonable. But I'm disabled and it's impossible for me to walk that far down to the gate. So, all week the Concierge had been calling their shuttle van to drop us off at the front gate. But for some reason, on the day before we left, when we ask for the Concierge to have the shuttle van drop us off, he very rudely said, "we don't do that." My sister pointed to me and said, " but my sister's handicap." He repeated, "Well, we don't do that." My sister told him, "you've been doing it all week for us." He replied, "Well you're gonna have to go inside and ask the front desk." Which she did and the front desk called the concierge and had them order up the shuttle van and deliver us down to the front gate. I wish I would have gotten that guys name. Because he was pretty nasty. He wasn't doing anything except for standing around joking with the other 2 guys that he worked with. He was lazy and couldn't be bothered to do his job because it would have been too much of inconvenience. His behavior really angered me, but I wasn't going to let in ruin my day or the fantastic experience that we had up to that point.
My sister and I recently enjoyed another fantastic week at Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas. It was such a pleasure to be back, and what truly made it special was recognizing so many familiar faces among the staff who have been there for years - it really makes you feel at home. While the entire team provides excellent service, we absolutely have to highlight Aimee. She's easily one of the sweetest and most fun employees we've ever encountered! Aimee leads a variety of engaging activities by the pool, including a high-energy morning Zumba class and lively pool volleyball. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she does an amazing job of getting everyone involved. Beyond the fun, she's incredibly friendly and always goes out of her way to assist with whatever you need. If we return again next year, we will really be hoping Aimee will still be there. The outstanding customer service at Playa Grande extends throughout the entire resort - from the delicious dining experiences in the restaurants to the prompt and helpful guest services in the rooms. The resort itself is consistently very clean and beautifully maintained. The only thing I wish was available was fresh drinking water stations.
We absolutely loved our stay here at the Playa Grande Resort. The staff were all so amazing and friendly and the resort is absolutely beautiful. We had a lot of great times in the pool and beach and the restaurants were all so delicious. The poolside service was great and the food they had to offer at the pool was excellent. The location is amazing too, walking distance to the downtown area of San Lucas. I definitely would come back here again.
A decent resort in Cabo with a beautiful view of the pacific side of ocean! We stayed in the one bedroom suite with 3 people which was more than enough room for us, it had two balconies and two bathrooms and a king size bed in bedroom and a pull out bed in living room. There was also a full size kitchen and table with chairs. The tv included HBO so my son watched a few family movies while we were there. We did do the all inclusive which made things a lot easier on us. We were able to go to all the parties on the beach, there was a St. Patrick's Day party with a live band, one night, and the next night there was entertainment for the Mexican fiesta with all you can drink and eat. The entertainment was top-notch, and it was really cool to see fireworks at night! There are a lot of pools, and one of the pools is an adult only infinity pool with a swim up bar. The adult pool has amazing views and we enjoyed all you can eat sushi in that pool as well. The pool is never felt too crowded, there were people that would reserve chairs early in the morning, but it seems like there was enough space for everyone to find a comfortable chair. Poolside service was amazing and shout out to Ramon! We were able to order lunch poolside and get drinks all day. There was a ton of events going on at one of the pools each day like volleyball, water, balloon, fights, competitions, and dancing. The entertainment staff really make it fun without being annoying. The breakfast buffet each morning was nice because there was omelette, being prepared, a taco person, and a variety of fruits and veggies and breakfast items. It isn't the best food in the world but not the worst either. On Sunday morning, there was a big buffet for brunch with live music. :) It was a fairly close walk to the marina, but if you step outside the property, you can catch an Uber or taxi quite easily . The concierge were helpful and made all of our dinner reservations for the different events going on throughout the resort for meals, and they even helped us arrange a couple excursions. :) The downside was the timeshare people right when you check in, it doesn't matter if you're tired and you've been traveling all day. They are going to breathe down your throat and get pissed off if you declined to go to their presentation. they even called us the next morning and we said no and I know they were mad, but we didn't want to spend our vacation at a timeshare presentation. If you are firm, they will finally get the hint. also, the rooms definitely show a lot of wear and tear but we didn't mind so much because we were rarely in the room.
I have been a member here for 20+ years and have never experienced as much scamming in 1 single trip ever... we had multiple charges for extra tickets to fiestas added to our room and the employees went as far as saying they saw a 5th person with us!! I asked them to describe the "5th" person because we stayed an entire week & most the pool staff knew exactly who we were... Needless to say no one wanted to refund us the extra charges. Had we waited until the last day to check the charges we would have been screwed, we demanded to speak to management, and they kept telling us all managers were in a meeting for 2 hours. Well once they realized we had all the time in the world because we didn't leave for 1 more day.. Once the front desk realized I was warning the other patrons of all the charges being made against us, what do you know, 3 managers come walking into the lobby 5 minutes later. We have to look out for one another.. we took a major financial hit this trip because my fiance didn't speak Spanish & the locals kept over charging him in USD when they would tell him in Pesos.. all in all, Cabo you win. We aren't coming back ever.
This review is strictly for the food at Playa Grande. It's great, not just for an all-inclusive, but great food period. The dishes tend to be seafood heavy but every restaurant also offers vegetarian options. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the French toast is some of the best I've ever had. There's rotating options every morning with items like sopes, breakfast tacos, and an omelette station. The shrimp tacos at nearly every restaurant on the resort are great, I ate them nearly every day of my stay. The tortillas are freshly made and the shrimp is so well seasoned. The dinners had options with a more upscale ambiance and menu, all of them were great. There were so many appetizers that surprised me by how delicious they were, definitely try the different kinds of ceviche. I had a pepita crusted salmon on my last night that was delicious. The desserts were more of a hit or miss, but the churros were consistently good. Please tip your servers, even if doing the all-inclusive package. They all work really hard to keep this huge resort running, there were few moments during my week-long stay that I was hungry.
Excellent staff excellent food quiet and very clean! If you're looking for a quiet vacation this is the perfect place.
For the price, I would say the resort is decent. The resort itself looks beautiful. There are huge steps between the beach and main building and no elevator option (or if there is no one told us and there were no signs) to get down. My husband and I got the all inclusive but it wasn't all inclusive, there are certain things you need to pay for and every place requires a reservation. Be prepared to listen to a time share pitch after checking in, even before you've seen the resort. Talking to a concierge is almost impossible as they are busy, and as mentioned you have to have reservations to dine so just be prepared to wait. My husband tried to exchange money multiple times and either the person wasn't there, the line was the same as the check in line and he had to wait long, or it wasn't "time". The food did not taste authentic and although it wasn't awful, it wasn't great. You can hear the club music from the ridge, which is where we stayed and it was hard to sleep with the noise. The adults only pool had lots of kids... and even though you aren't allowed to reserve chairs, lots of people woke up at 8am to reserve chairs, leaving no where for you to sit. No one was managing this or telling you to follow the rules. The service from housekeeping, the wait staff, and bartenders was awesome and the proximity between here and downtown was great.

The resort is about a 45 minute ride from the airport ( SJD) going through town and along the coast. The resort lobby has a very high cupola ceiling with an oculus at the top: lots of light and a nice airy feeling all around. Marble and wood and glass, plus comfortable high back chairs make you want to linger and chat while sipping a welcome to the resort margarita. There were six of us on vacation, we did the all-inclusive so didn't have anything but ourselves to lug around, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience at Playa Grande; from a great buffet and omelette station at breakfast, to the swim up bar, dinners at Brigantine, and the beach Fiesta on the second night. Colima restaurant is where we had breakfast : omelette station, great assortment of yogurts, fruit cups, smoked salmon, pancakes, eggs that are scrambled or poached (besides the omelette station) bacon and sausages... Mimosa at the table, orange and green juice at the buffet area; there is a full bar at Colima should you want something more. I am sorry I didn't make a note of our server's name here, he was polite and friendly and deserved a mention. I have more photos but can't seem to upload them now, maybe too many all together, so I'll add them later. We had a great time at this resort, enjoyed the days together with our friends, got tanned and had excellent service from everyone. In the lobby area there's a bar that makes good cocktails, fries and calamari, burgers. One night after dinner they made us Mexican coffees where we were sitting, it's so fun to watch the liquors flame up as they're poured into the glasses in metal holders :)) and very good to drink. The beach isn't a swimmable one at all, the currents and tides are very strong with two water systems colliding here at the end of Baja California sur. At night sleeping with the windows open I could hear my beloved ocean and feel a lovely breeze. Had we waited until the last day to check the charges we would have been screwed, we demanded to speak to management, and they kept telling us all managers were in a meeting for 2 hours. Well once they realized we had all the time in the world because we didn't leave for 1 more day.. Once the front desk realized I was warning the other patrons of all the charges being made against us, what do you know, 3 managers come walking into the lobby 5 minutes later. We have to look out for one another.. we took a major financial hit this trip because my fiance didn't speak Spanish & the locals kept over charging him in USD when they would tell him in Pesos.. all in all, Cabo you win. This review is strictly for the food at Playa Grande. It's great, not just for an all-inclusive, but great food period. The dishes tend to be seafood heavy but every restaurant also offers vegetarian options. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the French toast is some of the best I've ever had. There's rotating options every morning with items like sopes, breakfast tacos, and an omelette station. The shrimp tacos at nearly every restaurant on the resort are great, I ate them nearly every day of my stay. The tortillas are freshly made and the shrimp is so well seasoned. The dinners had options with a more upscale ambiance and menu, all of them were great. There were so many appetizers that surprised me by how delicious they were, definitely try the different kinds of ceviche. I had a pepita crusted salmon on my last night that was delicious. The desserts were more of a hit or miss, but the churros were consistently good. Please tip your servers, even if doing the all-inclusive package. They all work really hard to keep this huge resort running, there were few moments during my week-long stay that I was hungry. read more

For the price, I would say the resort is decent. The resort itself looks beautiful. There are huge steps between the beach and main building and no elevator option (or if there is no one told us and there were no signs) to get down. My husband and I got the all inclusive but it wasn't all inclusive, there are certain things you need to pay for and every place requires a reservation. Be prepared to listen to a time share pitch after checking in, even before you've seen the resort. Talking to a concierge is almost impossible as they are busy, and as mentioned you have to have reservations to dine so just be prepared to wait. My husband tried to exchange money multiple times and either the person wasn't there, the line was the same as the check in line and he had to wait long, or it wasn't "time". The food did not taste authentic and although it wasn't awful, it wasn't great. You can hear the club music from the ridge, which is where we stayed and it was hard to sleep with the noise. The adults only pool had lots of kids... and even though you aren't allowed to reserve chairs, lots of people woke up at 8am to reserve chairs, leaving no where for you to sit. No one was managing this or telling you to follow the rules. The service from housekeeping, the wait staff, and bartenders was awesome and the proximity between here and downtown was great. read more

This resort is beautiful and amazing views and superb housekeeping service, quick room service and friendly staff - we stayed in the penthouse and it was SO LOUD! There's some sort of dog boarding place right outside of it and the dogs lost their minds often every day as it looked like a tour of people would come by and walk the hill there. You also hear the seals yell all evening and then they're quiet in the morning. It made it hard to fall asleep between the dogs, the seals and the night club music and life. It was so loud we almost all wore ear plugs every night and most of the nights we slept terribly because of it. The check in service took forever and they never have more than two maybe 3 people working the front desks so they don't even answer the phones when you call from your room. They charge you for the internet when there's a free network you can connect to so don't fall for that... We booked two excursions through them and just to get to the area (for parasailing) was a five minute walk but for their transport we were charged $50! So get yourself to those vs taking them up on transport. What a rip off. The ice cream was terrible... the churros were great. I liked all the restaurants but found the themes confusing to keep up on. We enjoyed our vacay but wouldn't return to this resort ever. They charge tax on your massages and spa treatments so a $160 massage with a $30 tip has $33 tax too. They also bill you separate for everything from tax to tip to fee to the food charge itself. read more
Very friendly staff and beautifully maintained grounds. We stayed at the one bedroom suites in building M and they were clean, spacious, and well stocked. Toiletries were nice and the kitchen had everything we needed. We stopped by a Walmart from the airport to the resort and stocked up on oil, eggs, bread, ham, water, milk, yogurt, etc. There's s small store in the lobby that also has food, drinks, snacks, souvenirs, which was convenient. We had my parents with us and they're older so we usually took taxis downtown to eat and sightsee. It's possible to walk but it was pretty hot during the day. We didn't do the all inclusive food cause we don't drink and it was like $120+ pp and you had to get at least 3 consecutive days. Their Sunday brunch buffet was very good so we were glad to try it. read more

In the 20+ years of going to Playa Grande (which we LOVE), we've never come across such a RUDE employee as Flaviola. She works both at PG and Solmar, so keep your eyes open and avoid her at all costs. She was so stubborn, not helpful, and disagreeable. Every employee has been accommodating and kind all these years EXCEPT Flaviola. Instead of trying to help us and making things easy, she frustrated us, which is not what you want when you're on vacation. She needs to go back to hotel hospitality training 101 because it's evident she failed. read more

There are much better options than this resort. The resort is family friendly and optional all inclusive. The challenge is that every corner they're trying to get a tip or sell something. When we checked in someone was in our room, then when we came back the bellman didn't know how to get to our room. It was exhausting after a long flight. The gym is nice and calima the restaurant by the pool is great(get the green juice). Otherwise I'd say stay somewhere else. read more

Just celebrated my bachelor party with 15 of my closest friends and family and had THE BEST TIME! Every single person who works at the resort was extremely kind and generous. The food was amazing (we did all inclusive) and the drinks were flowing! SHOUT OUT TO HECTOR who kept us drunk, laughing, and enjoying our time. The mexican fiesta on Monday was so fun! The dancers were amazing and the host was hilarious. I have so much more to say but i'll leave it there. We will FOR SURE be coming back! Thank you Playa Grande! read more

We stayed over here for a quick weekend trip, and I'm glad we did. There was a large group of us 15+ people who all stayed here for a birthday, and all had a good time. I think the location of this resort is probably one of the best in Cabo San Lucas. I don't know any other one down there location wise that could beat it. Right off of the marina, and just outside of town a bit equals perfect. Being honest we only stayed on property for really one day at the pool relaxing, but stay most of our time out in town and in the marina. There wasn't really anything ever wrong with the property. We had a couple issues pop up but they did event resolve them which in my eyes is OK. One of the issues was the AC wasn't working in our suite, and apparently someone got injured as there was blood on the outside stonework. It all got cleaned up, but the ac was still an issue. In conclusion I do recommend this place as the food was really good, and the drinks were into that either. Especially for the price you pay it is well worth it. Good luck read more

I had so much fun here. Everyday they do a variety of events such as pool volleyball where the winners get a shot of tequila, water aerobics with Jordan or Franco, and guess what's in the basket where you can win a bottle of tequila. All three things are definitely worth trying out! On Wednesdays there is a beach party where you pay $43 or $45 I can't remember but it includes drinks, dinner, dessert, bingo, limbo contest for the chance to win a tequila bottle, and a fire show. Also VERY worth going it was so much fun! Emmanuel (Manny) was the bartender at the swim up bar and my family and I absolutely loved him he makes bomb drinks, is super nice, and such a hard worker. Joel was the manager by the pool and he helped us with everything we needed we all loved him too! The service at this hotel is amazing and I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone going to Cabo. The only down fall is that the beach is not safe for swimming. DO NOT GO IN THE OCEAN it is extremely dangerous. read more
We got a suite for 9 people & it had great views. We loved our place & how often the room was cleaned & stocked. The front desk was also very helpful when asking for a golf cart to go to our building E since it's on a slope & we had 6 elderly people. Overall, I loved the resort & would definitely come back but I just have to comment on some things that could be improved for inclusivity of all customers. The hotel has many restaurants but the ridge has to be our most favorite being vegetarian & vegan. The service was fast as well because it's up on a slope in a corner of the hotel where not many people go. It's right by the infinity pool with a swim up bar! Other restaurants were okay, all of the places made mistakes on our orders every single day for 4 days. We were so irritated with the options & mistakes. One of the chefs from calima actually talked to us directly about making vegan vegetarian options (since their beans have lard) which we were grateful for. But I'm not sure if there was another person working on our order too but they put lard in some of our beans & it was not a great scene wirh religious parents. They compensated by giving us $22 off on our check. Another thing was also the events the hotel offers. Usually they're unlimited food & drinks 6-9pm for $40 -45 per person. This is definitely worth it for someone that drinks & can eat everything. But majority of our party didn't drink or eat meat & I was the vegan one. We tried negotiating on the price & the chef said he'd make us food that we can eat but we wouldn't be able to get multiple orders it'd be one order, which I think makes it unfair for us considering other people having unlimited options. Overall, I think the resort needs to be able to cater to different groups of people & be able to provide pricing on these parties based on their restrictions. Would definitely come back to this resort though but just not eat there. Even their $90/day unlimited food drinks would've been great if they catered to my vegan diet & my family's vegetarian diet. read more

Let me start by saying my preference is Marriott. I only booked this place because Southwest was offering me a 20k rapid reward bonus. This resort collection owns Playa Grande, Grand Solmar Land's End, and Rancho. Everyone says they booked Solmar and get 'upgraded' to Playa Grande. The 'upgrade' is highly questionable and it's a marketing ploy, but you do save money that way. I prefer The Ridge side of this property because there are less people (but that section is restricted to owners or VIPs I guess). The general pools are cool. The grounds are cool. I did not find anything incredibly over the top about this place. 3/3.5 stars at best. This is the kind of place I'd stay at if I planned to spend most days outside of my room. Issue #1- check-in. Purchased my all inclusive stay via southwest to take advantage of earning rapid rewards. I arrive and nothing is to be found. Though I have the printed receipt, confirmation and all info, check-in is a pure hassle. The check-in agent was kind, but we were working with her for over 30 minutes. And trying to prove that we paid in full prior to arrival (thought I emailed proof to the front desk while standing there) was annoying. After a 5.5 hour flight, customs, hassle at the airport and shuttle transfer wait times, arriving to more confusion was annoying as hell! There are several Solmar properties including Solmar, Playa Grande, Grand Solmar, and Rancho. People book Solmar and think they've been 'upgraded' to Playa Grande when they arrive. Don't kid yourself. There is no 'upgrade'. Playa Grande is the lowest offering in the collection. If you book Solmar, you will definitely end up at Playa Grande. Issue #2- finally get to our room and it smells like roach spray. I'm mean it's overpowering. Fixing issues is pointless because first you have to get staff to agree that it's an issue. Losing battle Issue #3- all inclusive is bogus. So not worth it. The food is horrible. I really don't see how others rate it highly. All the meals are exactly the same from restaurant to restaurant with a different name. For dinner, all meals at every restaurant are served with the same rice, potatoes and steamed veggies. And because they're mostly pre-plated, it's luke warm and hard to adjust. For instance, Salads are pre-made, so often times I wanted a simple Caesar and asked for it, but still got what was listed on the menu. I've been to some really awesome all-inclusive resorts. This one was different. I had to get a check at the end of every meal, the package was limited (did not include activities, or certain cuts of meat or certain seafood---every activity had an additional cost and the pool side service is non-existent). All-inclusive sucked. We went to the marina and downtown to eat. There was nothing authentic about the food at the hotel. It was nasty. The catch of the day for 5 days in a row was red snapper. Issue #4- we are a late lunch on our third night there. About 5 hours later around 11pm, my 8yr old son got violently ill. He woke up out of his sleep with tears and stomach cramps. He had a diarrhea accident all over the bathroom. After cleaning him and his PJs and trying to calm him, I attempted to clean the bathroom. It took three towels to get up all the poop and to properly clean. My husband went to the front desk to make them aware. Do you know what they said? They were charging us for the dirty towels never asked about my son. No concern that we may have gotten sick from their food which was all we had eaten, not even a 'how's he feeling?' The front desk gave me some air spray for the smell and asked for my room number for the charge. Not surprised. When paper was found in my salad, they really didn't give a crap either. There are much better places to stay in Cabo. I would skip the entire Solmar brand. And no one was ever sent to sanitize the bathroom. Can't wait to leave! read more
