Wonderful views! Great drinks, tasty food, excellent service, and good vibes. What else can you ask for? Located on the roof of the Auberge du Vieux-Port hotel, you can enjoy panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River and the Old Port. I thoroughly enjoyed my burrata, which came with quinoa, fresh tomatoes, and country bread toast. I loved the charcuterie! Such a nice variety. The falafel tacos were tasty too. Beautiful plating of all the dishes.

The best experience we had while visiting montreal, Cam, Jan, Ann-Sophie and leticia made the experience 1000% better then we could have ever expected. We are a large group from America who walked in without a reservation and will definitely be coming back before we leave. If you are looking for a good view, AMAZING servers and great drinks, THIS. IS. IT!!!!!

3.5 stars, Yelp should introduce half stars. Located at the top floor of a rather fancy hotel. - You can walk in, large terrace, few people. Uncovered most area so people avoid during rain - Their service is okay, nothing special. - Drinks were just merely fine. The bartender was not that good we had a mojito, old-fashioned and something else, none of us liked our usual favorites here. The view is better on one side and the other side is just all buildings and this terrace isn't tall enough to see above them so no view.

This terrace is worth a visit as it's located on the rooftop of a hotel and has a view overlooking the Old Port. I came with my relatives and the view on the rooftop is stunning. However, the menu has a limited choice of food and the waitress told us they ran out of burgers and vegetarian tacos. I ended up ordering the Burrata. I would have preferred the tomatoes to be riper. My cousin didn't like the Ribs. Apparently, it was dry. It was a very pleasant experience to dine on a rooftop. I didn't want to leave for the sake of the view.

This terrace was like the secret end location of a quest. We saw it twinkling away on a faraway rooftop while roaming Ville-Marie at nighttime. And because it was on a rooftop, the closer you got to it, the less you saw of it! Sneaky! If you happen to navigate to the right building, see the nondescript sign outside advertising the Terrasse, make your way through the confusing structure (counter-intuitively down some stairs, through an old timey bar thing, then up an elevator and up a few more stairs), you might finally be able to treat yourself to some extraordinary views of the city. This is one hell of a rooftop patio. 360 degree views including the brilliantly lit up ferris wheel and bridge. The staff were lovely. We were served by a very friendly and chatty gentleman that catered to us even though we ordered our first round of Sangria 5 minutes before last call and our second round after the supposed last call. The Sangria were lovely group sippers, perfect for those sweltering summer nights, but not for if you want to get drunk. We got the Melon Sangria made with Midori and a pinkish bubbly tropical one which I think was the Rose Sangria. Both delicious but I think I liked Melon one more. Very refreshing! At ~$50 a pitcher, it wasn't cheap but it wasn't outrageous either. Lots of fresh boozy fruit for you to snack on at the bottom. So glad to have stumbled upon this place. Hard to find, but once you do, it's a truly perfect place to soak up the views and the drinks. (62/100) - 2018

Was in Old Montreal back in July and my traveling partner kept her eye out for a few places. Shopping along the area, she said she had a great feeling about the place, and we went all the way to the rooftop terrace. She was not wrong. The vibe was perfect. A view to die for. As we arrived, we were told that there was a possibility of the bar being closed because of the rain. Apparently, it gets very windy, to the point where the structure gets impacted. We said it was fine, and we decided to take a corner seat that had just made itself available. This was easily the best view we had seen of Old Montreal, and it made the afternoon and evening that much more enjoyable. Where else can you take a seat and let the view dictate the rest of your plans for the night? This is the spot. You can see the entire St. Lawrence river, along with some of the attractions. I don't remember the name of my drink. Might have been a Paloma, but I'm not entirely sure. All I can tell you is that it was perfect. My traveling buddy had an Aperol spritz that was masterful. We didn't want to have anything too heavy, so we ordered the local organic charcuterie platter, the Pique Assiette, to share it among each other. Every one of the components was perfect. The Pâté de Campagne was amazing - I had never had it before, and the pieces of blueberry along with the generous pork flavor was magnificent. I am also not a lover of bleu cheese, but this was a turning point for me, as I struggled to not hoard every single bite of it from my companion. The brie was spectacular. My only gripe was that there were not enough crostini or pieces of bread for me to use on every single bite. The wind started to pick up just as we were about to leave, but the pace of the rest of the night had been determined, all thanks to this spectacular venue with a view. If I'm ever back in Old Montreal, this is the first place I'm coming back to.

Looking for a nice view, good service and wine? Look no further than Terrasse sur l'Auberge. The sweeping waterfront view really made this rooftop terrasse special. If I ever get the chance to go back I will try one of their sangrias. Walking by at night, the sign outside is easily missed if you're not paying attention.

Fantastic view of old port- ferris wheel, the bridge and the canal! Drinks were on the pricey side, but the food was reasonably priced for the view. Unfortunately, we dropped by during the heat wave and they weren't serving salads or anything raw.... which was odd considering it was so hot -- alll that was left for food were charcuterie boards and roast beef sandwiches. We ordered a Chablis, a beer and a mixed plate charcuterie. The feature of the day was a rabbit tartar, salami and prosciutto. The cheese was a blue, a mild and an aged one. They also have croutons, grapes and spicy mustard. Overall great platter at a great portion but slightly pricier. I would come back for the view and the sunset.

Atop of Auberge Vieux Port is a wonderful terrace with a spectacular view of Old Montreal and its Port. We had been here a few years ago and were blown away by a White Sangria we were served using white wine, lychee and white cranberry juice. We returned this year and were hoping for a repeat enjoyment. Yes, they still offered a White Sangria, but it was prepared differently (insert sad face here). But wait, there's more! There was now a Clear Sangria on the menu that was made with Prosecco, white cranberry juice, and peach Schnapps. Just had to try this! We ordered a pitcher ($50) and some food. The Clear Sangria was fantastic (insert happy face here). Since we were sharing the Sangria we also shared the Grilled Cheese Canard ($18) and Tartare de Crevettes ($26). The duck grilled cheese was delicious and came with chips and some salad. The shrimp tartare was fresh, tasty, and came with some toasted baguette slices and more of the salad that was with the grilled cheese. It can get a little cramped with everyone wanting to be on the roof on a beautiful day. Our server, Marie Noel, took excellent care of us. Our water and sangria glasses were kept filled throughout our stay. As a final note, we found out just a little too late, that the terrace at the hotel we actually were staying at, The Nelligan, a sister hotel of Auberge Vieux Port, was serving a White Sangria with lychee! Oh well, next trip!

If you have to get to a terrace and you want to be able to see a 180 view of the city for 30 seconds while standing next to the people with the good view sitting at their table...go for it. But that's all it is unless you get one of the few tables with a good view. Service was quick and friendly but it was expensive and the soda I ordered was mostly ice. Overall not worth it.

They serve everything tapas style here meaning small plates that you share with others. Even the bowls are a little smaller portioned, a little harder to share. However I think the hot appetizers like the takoyaki (octopus balls), okonomiyaki (japanese omelette/pancake), and the karage (fried chicken) are the must tries! They are super beginner friendly options that taste super good! Lots of umami flavor and they are perfectly sized and portioned for sharing. I also enjoyed their mocktail drinks. The three in the photo are the three that they have. They are all green haha. I really liked the matcha one, it just tastes like a matcha latte but better! All the items came out one by one, and were nicely timed. Once we finished an item another came out! Although they were kind of busy I think they did a great job at service. They recommend the group meal offering and I can report that it is a TON of food and definitely all their best items. Our colleagues that shared it were the happiest, though they admit they could never hear what was delivered and they are blindly with no reference. I had skewers that I quite enjoyed, though one had enough cheese to last me a week, some of the best edamame (everyone wanted some), and a helping of rice due to my gluten free needs. The cocktails were really something special, definitely a menu you want to drink through. I wanted to love Biirū, but I do admit the reviews around the meal experience and communication from the waiters was fairly accurate. I don't think a few of us would've come here with our allergies had it not been a work dinner. Their understanding of celiac disease was low, like sure I could eat the soy sauce and not react right now, but I will later and that shouldn't be a risk a business presents. Further, we had to confirm 4 times that one dish was made on its own pan due to a severe anaphylactic allergy. The staff don't seem to speak to one another, so the delivery of food was horrible with parts going to one end when they belonged elsewhere.

I went for the traditional mussels as Andrew said this is a thing to get in Montreal, they will do it well. He was right, the bowl was huge and the mussels and sauce were excellent.
