The first one was 2014 after a near fatal motorcycle accident that had me in ICU for 4 days and then at home recovering mostly in a recliner, as I could not lay comfortably in bed. The doctors wanted to do Orthoscopic Surgery repair on my shoulder, wrists and leg, and the prognosis was that I would probably never run another 5K, play sports or be as active as I was before. I really wanted to avoid surgery and yet determined to get my life back, so my PCP recommended Airrosti treatment as a long shot alternative. After about 7-8 visits over around 3 months time, using their resistance and stretching routines, I was discharged and released to work out using light weights and aerobic exercises and by 9 months, commenced with heavy weight workouts, playing golf, frisbee with the kids and even water skiing again. So needless to say that when I recently found myself suffering from a Tennis Elbow type of injury, I didn't hesitate to call on Dr. Newman & Amy as a treatment option and after about 4-5 weeks and 4 treatments (I requested the 4th one for good measure) I am again lifting weights and doing my usual sports activities. I saw Dr. Miller for my 6 weeks check-up after each replacement and haven't seen him since. My husband has an annual check-up visit. Something is wrong with my right hip but I won't go back to Dr. Miller. Probably could have been caught if I had an annual check-up. Just want to warn others if you are looking for follow through, maybe Dr. Miller is not for you

Unfortunately, my boy broke a bone... but he was X-rayed and casted at the same visit. We were in and out in 2.5 hours. We were seen by Dr Garff and casted by Jacob. The staff was beyond professional and friendly. You can tell they deal with kids because they were comfortable with the banter between me and my 17 yr old. It's a shock to find out you have broken a bone. They took care and time in explaining what they were doing and why to him. They allowed him to ask questions and they were not phased at the silliest questions. I highly recommend!!!

I visited Sports Medicine Clinic of North Texas in February for a consultation for an arthroscopy…read morefor a torn meniscus. The surgeon reviewed my MRI results and decided we could move forward. I was out of town for most of the month of March but we were going to schedule surgery for early April and they wanted me to get blood work done upon my return. I received a garbled message from physician's assistant so I called back to check on status of surgery and next steps but my call went voice more than 4 times without a return call. I did receive a call back once while I was going through customs and could not pick up. But again voicemail message not clear. I then found out from my insurance company that the surgery was denied because the insurance company wanted me to try physical therapy first, which I will do. But again no direction from this office to move forward with PT. I am deeply concerned about the lack of communication from this office. If they did not want to take on my case, they could've had the courtesy to reach me again as I left several messages with them. I should not assume that they do not want to treat me. I know doctors' offices get busy, but lack of communication is no excuse. I chose this clinic because I tore my ACL over 25 years ago in a skiing tumble, and the surgeon I saw at this clinic encouraged me to exercise it and build my up my knee strength, which I did. He said I was coping well without the ACL and I had no instability. He advised me not to have surgery, but recommended to ski with a knee brace, which I have been doing since then. However, this torn meniscus is a bear and impacts any movement with pivoting. Not sure I will be able to ski again. I hope the lack of communication from this clinic is not happening with other potential patients and I am saddened that we could not move forward.

There have radiology and lab work onsite - so you don't have to go to another place as a rule to get work done. Doctors fulfill prescriptions with their laptops and straight to your pharmacy electronically so you don't have to run with an Rx script in your hand to a pharmacy. I wish the seating in the waiting area was more comfortable. When you're sick with a fever and waiting for an hour to go in for your appointment, it would be nice if there were comfortable leather couches instead of those stiff wooden chairs. I am not a fan of the billing here. I will go in, make my copay, then see the doc and leave. Then about 6 weeks later, I'll get some random crazy bill for $300 - or something. Nothing in the bill indicates that your insurance may still cover this - so if you pay it, good-bye money. These are cycle bills - a waste of trees and heart-attacks, because if you just wait a while, turns out your insurance covered most of it - but not always. The doctor I had in Denton several years ago knew how much lab work cost, how much medicine cost and what was covered by insurance. I so appreciated him! I never got surprises. Here, it's like a new surprise every time you visit. I find it very aggravating that the people here don't know how much things are going to cost and they just send you for this or that. I hate having to come in and make a copay just to get a prescription for an anti-fungal - it's not like I'm getting an exam. My other doctor was far more considerate of how much his patients had to spend out of pocket. If it wasn't 160 miles round trip, I'd still be going to my doctor in Denton.
