I am not sure what is considered "a good price," but they got a stain out of my dress that had been sitting there since last November so I'll take it as a win. One area for improvement is their customer service. When I dropped off my items, the girl working was not friendly and lacked people skills. Terrible customer service. This place is basically run by a bunch of rude teenagers. I've made the mistake of leaving items in the pockets of clothes before when taking them to other cleaners. In those instances I got a bag of my items back at pick up. Not here. I'll take responsibility for my mistake but that still doesn't excuse theft. Beyond that I had a white button down shirt back that looked like it had been written on with a pen. When I called to address this, I was met with nothing but rudeness from one of the teenagers working there. Begrudgingly he said he would try to fix the shirt, but after the way I was treated I decided to take it elsewhere. I have zero faith or trust in these folks. read more

The manager here is really on top of it, it's mostly a young staff from the local high school but the manager does a great job of keeping everything moving. I've always received my clothes back in excellent condition and they really take good care of the clothes and package them well. All of the bags, the hangers, and paper they use to make sure your clothes look good when you get them back are that "extra mile" that customers really appreciate. It's also a locally owned business, so definitely give these guys your support instead of one of the big chain drive-thrus! You won't regret it! read more

We've been using Terrell's since 1991 when we moved here. High quality service for sure. We've recommended them time and time again to others. Mr. Terrell is a great human being and business owner. Very fair. I only recently developed a complaint because we now have to either subscribe to Moneymailer to get the coupons every month or go to the website and print it off monthly. Even though it's a simple task, it's an extra one. Kinda feels like we have to do more work to spend our money. This isn't a complaint. It's just in case they read the reviews here and at least have one person's opinion on it. We'll still be using them weekly. read more

I've been using Terrell's since I moved to the area in 2005. I used them last week and they refused to honor a coupon printed from their website. I've printed this coupon every time I use them and it has no expiration date and they now refuse to honor it. I guess when your the mayor you can get away with doing that. If they perhaps handled it better things would be different but they were rude and condescending. Time to move on to another dry cleaner. read more

This could have been a bad review... I recently had an "unexpected" encounter with a few employees at Terrell's Dry Cleaning. I use unexpected because it was neither good/bad, but just not what I expect from a top class Dry Cleaners. I was told to come back at 6:00 if I wanted to speak to the owner. I left fuming! I returned and met with the owner Mr. Steve Terrell who provided an ear to my issue and an appropriate resolution to the problem. His disposition and ability to hear me out won me over. I would highly recommend Terrell's Dry Cleaning for the quality of their cleaning service. If you do have an issue I would highly recommend talking to Mr. Terrell. He will make it right. read more

I have been using Terrell's Dry Cleaning since I moved to Allen back in 1992 and I have never had any issues with the staff or the quality of work performed here. My recent experience prompted me to write this review. I had just returned from vacation and dropped off several silk shirts. One of the shirts, a white Tommy Bahama shirt had a large dark stain across lower back caused by the dye of my black belt. I thought for sure the shirt was ruined. When the shirt came back the stain was still very visible. I asked for a redo with little hope that the stain would come out. I returned on numerous occasions to pick the shirt up but was told that they were still working on the stain. After about 2 weeks the shirt was ready and low and behold the stain was almost completely gone. These guys did a great job, far above and beyond my expectations. Keep up the great work. read more

This place has a home feel to it, which we like. Though, sometimes there's a long line and there's no drive thru so we had to switch because that's important for us with kids. Otherwise, their work is good and we've never had anything damaged or wrong with the cleaning. Pricing is average or maybe a little over. read more

I melted a tube of lipstick in the pocket of a pair of pants I was laundering. It was all over the entire load of clothes. Took it a to Terrells in a panic. After being the left for a week, they (George, in the back) was able to get out all of the lipstick. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Way to go read more

Wow!!! These guys and girls are amazing!!! I had a total of 7 items one of which was a Navy Peacoat. This Peacoat was full of cat hair (that another dry cleaner couldn't clean.) Not only was it clean but all of the items were done in less than 24 hours.....and on top of that the total was less than $25. I will continue to come here even if I move out of the area. I've lived in Allen for 30 yrs and have used Terrell's almost that long. They do the best job of any cleaners in Allen. I've never had an issue with torn or lost clothes and they have gotten out all stains which were a challenge when your husband is a firefighter. They have done alterations as well and I have always been pleased. Everyone can have a bad day, but I've never found the staff to be anything but helpful and courteous. read more

So I just came from this place of business. I walk in a man is standing there and tells me she will help you mind you I am the only person there. A girl comes from around the counter, and then a gentleman walks in the door right after me. The man that declined to help me proceeds to help this white young man. Not just help one white man, but two white men while I am still standing there. I asked the girl why couldn't he help me she said "I don't know". Then I ask her for the manager she says he isn't there, that the gentelman Nick who delcined to help me was the only manager there. So I ask for the owner's number, I call the number she gives me it is the number to the business. Guess what the owner was there, so she lied. The owner tells me Nick was busy with a report, so he couldn't help me. A few suggestions Nick, customer service comes first. You want to do reports find a computer in the back. The way I feel as a black woman who just spent more than both the two white gentlemen you helped is that I was just discriminated against. So thanks for not caring when I called Steve, awesome job. I doubt anything will be done about this type of behavior. Racism does still exist, it just that people continue to ignore it. I will not be made to feel uncomfortable, especially when all I did was walk into a business and hand them my money. read more

Recently took my clothes in to get dry cleaned. Loved that they had a coupon I could use seeing that I'm dry cleaning 12+ pieces a week every two weeks. Service was phenomenal!!!! My only concern was that one of my dresses did have a hole in it when I got it home. But I am not sure when it occurred exactly seeing that I'm not very good at examining my pieces before dropping them off. BeckyMetzPfeiffer We have been using Terrell's for several months, and had no problems. Two weeks ago I took in 14 of my husband's shirts. I counted them out, as usual and left. My husband picked them up and there are 2 shirts missing. I have talked to the people at the store and they insist that there is NO WAY they misplaced these shirts. After several calls to the store, I e-mailed Steve Terrell. Waited this 2 weeks, and he has refused to acknowledge my calls, or my e-mails. No response from the owner whatsoever. So, I called his residence, left a message 3 days ago. Ignored again. Is this any way to run a business? I think not. I will not trust Terrell's with our dry cleaning again. I've been consistently disappointed with Terrells. The last 4-5 times I've brought clothing in to be dry cleaned I picked them up with stains and spots on them that I had initially point it out to the staff paying the staff as always very young very inexperienced and completely lacking in communication skills and it's very difficult when it's never the same person twice helping you. The last time that I was in I was pointing out some concerned on a gown that I brought in with a spot that hadn't been removed, and a woman who was also collecting her items was speaking to someone else about problems and spots on her clothing. I'm not sure what happened but the product and service has become so poor that I've decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

First time trying Terrell's out and I instantly regret it. I received nothing but terrible customer service and rudeness.

I had a dress dry-cleaned at Dry Clean World and they tried to tell me that a water mark on my dress was not removable. I knew it was, so I took the newly dry-cleaned dress to Terrell's. There at Terrell's, I explained that I did not want the dress dry-cleaned again (it still had the plastic covering and paper shield from the other dry-cleaners); I just wanted the water-mark removed. I had paid $7 (tax included) at Dry Clean World for the cleaning, but when I received the dress back at Terrell's, I was charged $11 (tax included). I was shocked and tried to tell them that I had explained in the beginning that they were not to dry clean the dress, to just remove a spot and that they had said they could do that. The young people there were very cocky and patronizing, especially the boy. The manager did try to resolve the problem by returning $3.79 but still, it's a lot to pay for a dime-sized watermark and I hate the way I am treated by the young people there each time (they need diversity and disability training). Have been using them for a few weeks due to location convenience. Started getting my slacks back with the same wrinkles I turned them in with as if never touched. Began asking for light starch to at least get a crisper look. Have had to bring them home several times and correct the creases in the pants which have been screwed up by someone who either didn't know what they were doing or just didn't care. I'd venture to say the latter as the normal level of customer service at Terrell's is a cool indifference. Their prices are to high for that level of quality. I strongly recommend trying elsewhere. read more

This cleaner has been around forever and it's a local business so I really WANT to support it. I took a shirt in to be dry cleaned that had a tiny spot of something on the front. I am not sure what it was but it did not look like a stain. When I dropped it off, I pointed it out and asked if it was a problem... They said no problem. After I picked it up and got it at home, the spot was still there. I rubbed on it lightly with my finger and it started lifting off. I could have done that to begin with for free! They clearly did not even try to remove it. It was ironed, in a bag, and had a tag on it but I am not sure they actually cleaned it. At the very least, I wish they would have told me there were not able to remove the spot, if they actually had tried. Just a bad experience and I am not sure about returning again. read more
