The lab was delayed in the schedule of making my crown which was to be fitted over my titanium implant. I was okay with it, they just changed my appointment to a later date when the crown was ready. To my surprise, Dr. Hastings did not charge me the $900 lab fee for my crown!!! He assertively let the lab know that it was not acceptable to make his patient change her appointment because the lab was irresponsibly late. I had previously been bouncing around dentists after mine retired, and ended up having an unpleasant experience at a corporate dental clinic so I really wanted to find someone non-corporate. To start with, the receptionists were friendly and helpful when I was booking my appointment, and provided reminders as the appointment approached. When I arrived, I was happy to see that they have great COVID protocols in place. They seem to be well organized, and I didn't have to wait for my appointment. Dr. Okamura was wonderful. He's friendly, personable, knowledgeable and very kind. It is obvious that his patients' well being is his utmost concern. He is patient, and takes the time to explain things carefully. He also didn't try to up sell me on all of the things the corporate dental clinic was trying to tell me I needed. His approach is more conservative and careful, which I really appreciated. He shared his plan with me, and was upfront and honest about the issues I have with my teeth. He did a very thorough initial exam, even measuring my jaw and noting issues with how it opens and closes through various tests (I've never had a dentist do this before). I have had a problem with one of my teeth for almost a year now, which several dentists have tried to fix, but Dr. Okamura referred me to a specialist to take a look before we do anything, and I really appreciated that as well. All-in-all it was a great first appointment, and I feel reassured that I have found the right dentist for me!

I always had my cleaning with Danielle who was polite, patient and always took the time to chat with me and answer any questions I had. This time, I had cleaning with Dr. Ho's assistant, caucasian, short hair, who had a very negative demeanor the moment she greeted me. I felt very uncomfortable right from the start as her attitude was poor, no smile. She seemed disinterested in her job the whole time which was unprofessional. While she was giving me an x-ray, she snapped on me when I did not understand her instructions right away. She did not care to try explaining from a different approach. I had not taken an x ray in YEARS for me to remember the process, but I felt almost as if she had something against me. Her impatience pushed me beyond to the point I left after on the spot. I was infuriated and upset because no one should ever be making you feel this way during your monthly cleaning and check ups. My father reported this rudeness as well. Dr Ho did not sound like he understood me because he responded with "its nothing personal" and your taking this too far. He acted as if it was not a big deal. One negative experience really ruins it for me. Empathy was at its lowest. I wont be back. If possible even, I would probably give this place a no star.

I have to say his office is absolutely fabulous. I had some cavities under my old fillings (as expected) and he redid them and I have had no problems. A year later, another very old filling of mine had a cavity again! Dr Ho recommended a gold crown instead of refilling the tooth with another big filling. He took time to explain the benefits and treatment. My friends and family now go to him and think he's wonderful. I highly recommend this dental office to everyone.

Very quick and efficient. There is parking on the street. I never had an issue finding a spot. Clinic is also opens a few Saturdays, which has been extremely helpful as I cannot leave work during the week. Another thing that I love is that my insurance pays them directly, whereas the old clinic i went to I would have to pay out of pocked and then be reimbursed.
