I am writing for my friend whom I bought the Groupon for Christmas gift, she told me she was very satisfied with the service she's got as far as Massage is concerned. And her name is Donna. The day she had hers done, she was told that the lady who is in charge of Manicure and Pedicure ran into an accident during holiday weekend, so my friend opted for another Massage on another day. I also had a Groupon. I used my massage portion of the Groupon first, because of a scheduling conflict with the manicurist. I am scheduled to go back tomorrow for my manicure, pedicure. After reading the other reviews, I really hope I don't have to pay for my polish!! That's freaking ridiculous!! I just called to confirm my appointment, and spoke with Terri (the massage therapist), and he said he didn't have the manicurist's schedule. So, there is a lack of communication there...obviously there should always be a master schedule available at the front desk. The massage with Terri was very good. He was strong, and asked lots of questions about what kind of massage I wanted, pressure, how I was doing, etc. He did ask about scheduling more massages during my massage which wasn't very relaxing. My main complaint is this place was almost impossible to find because they have no signs. It's next to a somewhat sketchy barber shop and then you have to go up the stairs. It just seemed a little unprofessional and haphazard to me. The ambience was ok...no music when you entered, a bit abrasive at the front desk. I will have to wait and see how the manicure/pedicure is. I did like Terri as a massage therapist, but the rest of the place isn't really enough to bring me back. read more

The atmosphere, once you are upstairs is very peaceful. I was in the waiting room about a minute before the massage therapist came out to greet me and get me signed in. He was extremely professional. It was my first time getting a full body massage, I was a bit nervous, but Terry was very understanding and proceeded to make me feel comfortable. The massage was amazing, I used the groupon 45$ for 90 minutes. It served its purpose, I went in extremely tense and left really relaxed. He didn't do anything uncomfortable like some of the yelp reviews I see. . In case you don't know a "massage therapist" is there to "massage" he has to touch your body :) On that note...He wasn't inappropriate whatsoever!! I scheduled another appointment for next month, he has a great deal for referrals :)) ** For those of you judging the location, everyone gotta start somewhere, I am sure he will pick a different location as he grows his business. read more

I had a Groupon about a year ago for this place. I didn't think to review it then, but now that I like to read reviews before trying a new place, I decided to review it. Like everyone is saying, it is kind of in s sketchy place. You have to search for it. It is upstairs above a barber shop. They do charge you $5 for nail polish, which sucks. I dont remember the names of everyone I dealt with, but the woman who did my mani and pedi was really nice and held conversation quite well, but that's about it. The mani and pedi job was mediocre. I can do a better job myself. As far as the massage, it wasnt as great as other massages I've had. I wasnt comfortable, and the guy came off as kind of a perv. He kept stretching my legs and the blanket would creep up revealing my underwear. I'm no newbie when it comes to getting massages, and this is the first time my legs were EVER stretched. Anyway, he walked out halfway through for about 5-10 minutes, which cut my massage to 35 minutes. In all honesty, I wouldnt go back, and I wouldnt recommend this place. I hate giving out bad reviews, but this place isnt really up par for a good relaxing time. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I bought the 45 min massage/mani-pedi Groupon offered by this place too. The date for its expiration date was nearing, and so I called the place and left a voicemail. No one bothered calling me back at all, and when I was able to reach someone, the only appointment that worked for me was at 8AM (yuck) but I took it anyway, with the mani-pedi following at 9:30AM. Later I learned that the manicurist didn't even realize the front desk booked me at 9:30AM until that very morning, going along those same lines of an apparent lack of communication. The entrance was sketch, & the only way I knew it was the right place was the crooked plain printed piece of paper saying their name. The massage was fine, Terri seems experienced and the manicurist Gigi said he used to be at a chiropractor's office before. While waiting in the couch area for 9:30AM to come around, he kindly brought me a blanket. I thought though that the mani-pedi was not up to my expectations. I thought I could be done and out by 11, 11:30AM. I didn't leave until 12:30PM. THREE HOURS for a mani-pedi, whaaaat? She was by herself and newly licensed, but really?? The massage ended up being worthless because I was on edge & stressed out after the first two hours because I kept wondering what time it was and when she'd finish. The lack of windows didn't help. I ended up completely ruining my pedicure within one hour after I left anyway and ended up going to my usual nail salon a few days later to completely take it off for something new, which did NOT take three hours. Such a waste of $ and time. Gigi was nice enough & I appreciated her attentiveness to details and she's not the manicurist that appears to have generated their bad reviews, but my time is worth a lot to me and she was painfully slow. I didn't quite enjoy her telling me all the negative things about Stockton & the economy, like the recent riots, possible implementation of martial law, and something about socialism and Obama. I don't think those were very "spa-like" conversation topics & I just stopped commenting & listening in hopes that we could talk about something else. Or nothing at all. I told my friend about my experience the next day, & apparently she had a bad experience too. She was given the exact same Groupon as a gift from her mother for Christmas. She is from Stockton but works and goes to school in Sacramento, so when she arrived on time for her afternoon appointment all the way from Sac only to be told that they were running late by an entire hour, she was not happy. The least they could have done was call her ahead of time to let me know and possibly reschedule. She couldn't wait an extra hour since she had to be back in Sac at a certain time & wasted her Groupon, her gas, and her time because no one bothered to call & let her know. I feel kinda bad for writing a negative review, but it was sad how they were begging me & everyone else that came in that day to go on Yelp & write one too. Wendy D's experience is almost exactly the experience I had, except for the fact that the elderly lady that actually did my mani/pedicure (if you can call it that) clipped my toenail with dull clippers and she clipped them so crooked that she split my nail! By the way if u go in with your Groupon, polish is $5 extra for your hands and feet! I'm actually going to call Groupon, and complain to them. So let me take you from the beginning, the massage was ok, not great, not good, but ok, and that was the best part of the whole experience. The mani/pedi was a joke. The lady didn't even file my nails, she didn't ask me a single question, (do you want me to clip your nails, do you want me to file and shape your nails?) Nothing!!!! They are so concerned with getting you back in that they aren't even doing the basics!!! My bad for mistaking this place for another, but I should have taken them not returning my calls to schedule with them as a sign. I will NEVER be going back. Groupon advertised Rejuvenation Spa & Wellness Center a 45 minute massage and a mani-pedi for $45.00 ($128.00 value) and being that I go to spas and have my nails done this was a great deal! I'm always looking for new places and like to support local businesses, however, I could not locate the business since the address states it is on Pacific Avenue but is really on Rose Marie Lane and there was no signage. Once I found it I was directed to go upstairs but felt the environment wasn't what I was used to when it comes to spa type businesses. The staff was loud and seemed to be a bit unorganized. The massage was very good and the gentleman (Terry) was very pleasant, but feel that the staff need to let you know ahead of time that the Massuere is a male in the event you are uncomfortable with having a male. When it came to the Mani/Pedi that was a different story! The lady was very nice but the process took 2 hrs. despite me not having the Pedi and only a nail color change on my toes. She was very rough on my nails and I left with having my cuticles torn up, with skin broken/bleeding and as a matter of fact ended up having to have them re-done several days later and when my fingers were feeling better...OUCH! In order for this business to be successful the owner will need to hire different manicure staff, refine the staff, give clear guidelines to them on how to interact with customers who frequent spas and ensure they are in tune with the type of environment that a spa represents from the type of music, their behaviors, the surroundings, etc. Customers who frequent spas want a relaxing experience and this place did not provide that - unfortunately, I am sad to say I will not be back as a return customer. read more

Very disappointed. Please do not go to this place. I had purchased from Groupon a package for my wife as a Christmas Gift. Same story she had to reschedule her manicure and pedicure for another day due to not having anyone available for the service. She reschedules and the lady tells my wife that she cannot have Polish due to the polish being locked up and she does not have a key. Groupon will get a complaint from us as well. We have been expressing our concern to many of our friends about this purchase and place of business. read more

Ok, today I had my second massage. I got up this morning and did cycling at 6 am. My massage was at 9 am. All I can say is - AWESOME! Terri incorporated some stretching into the massage. My girlfriend and I each had a Groupon to use for this business. I had called and made our appointment a few weeks in advance. I had booked our massages(with female massage therapists), mani/pedi to all be done on the same day at the same time so we could have a nice "spa day". When it came time to have our services done, the male massage therapist advised us that he is the one and only massage therapist at the business. We were very disappointed & told him that we had wanted a female, he said there was a mix up with whoever booked the appointment. We then asked him about the mani/pedi & were told that the girl who does the mani/pedi was off for the day. He then tried to call her & was not able to get a hold of her. We were so upset that we told him we would be contacting Groupon & asking for a refund & we left. Very disappointing & upsetting!! read more

I should have known that the Groupon advertising this deal was too good to be true. My experience was less than satisfactory in every way. Although beautifully decorated, as the others mentioned, there is no signage to clearly indicate the spa location, and it is a bit intimidating going through such a narrow hallway up some stairs. I would have liked to known I was going to be massaged by a male in advance so I could have asked for a female. His (Terry) technique was ok, but there were times when I felt I little uncomfortable with his touch. There was way too much noise so I couldn't relax. The mani-pedi was very time consuming, and I think in this day and age we all assume a pedicure will be done in a spa chair. The whole process was a bit clumsy and wasn't done very well. I was extremely disappointed and intend to complain to Groupon. I would not recommend this "spa" to anyone. read more

Used my Groupon for a massage today. Terry was wonderful, kind and respectful. He worked with me to give me the massage I needed. He also has a wonderful spirit and I left with a healed body and soul. He had the misfortune of having a problem with the person doing nails. I am pretty certain that they are in violation of all kinds of health codes as it appeared that none of the tools used for the mani/pedi were clean.....as a matter of fact, the woman used a brush and filing sponge thing that was just laying in the bowl from the previous customer I assume...... I should have run when I saw the woman filling a steel bucket with soapy water to then pour in a stainless steel bowl for the pedicure!! Never in my life have I heard of a mani/pedi that didn't include nail polish!!! They want to charge $5 extra for each service! What a JOKE! The massage was ok, but not good enough to get me to set foot back in this place. Groupon should be ashamed of themselves for promoting this as a "spa". read more

I am so glad I read these reviews before scheduling an appointment with this company. I too received a groupon for Rejuvenation Spa and before I realized it had expired. I called during normal business hours and had to leave a message on a machine that didn't even announce the company's name. I then received a call two days later at 9:10 PM (yes, in the evening)! I thought this was rather unprofessional and told the lady that, but she didn't seem to care. I explained the situation and she said there was nothing she could do and would have to talk to the owner and that they would call me back the next day. That was April 20th and I have still not heard from them. But from what I can tell, that may be good thing. I am in the process of trying to get a credit from Groupon. Hope all goes well. read more

I went to the spa for the first time in January and used my Groupon coupon. I had a wonderful experience. Do not be fooled by the outside of the building because inside upstairs is a wonderful and sultry spa for your enjoyment. As I waited for my spa treatment, I sat on a wonderful white leather sofa and listened to relaxing spa music. Terry greeted me and took me to the treatment room. I found myself lying on the most comfortable massage bed with warm blankets surrounding me. Terry, was very professional, He asked me about prior massage treatments, and asked if I was experiencing any pain. His massage technique was wonderful, and he did not do a routine like so many other therapists. He worked on the areas in which I had pain and incorporated stretching into the massage. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Terry is very well trained, and knowledgeable about health and fitness. My husband received a massage after me and he also enjoy the treatment. Many people are missing out on a wonderful experience with Terry. Again, very professional and he gives an excellent massage treatment. We are clients for life. read more

I thought this was a good deal, however I was apprehensive as I had never heard of this spa before. There were no reviews on this spa. I recently used my coupon and felt the need to post this review. The office building in which the spa was located was not clearly marked with a sign for the spa. A person standing outside in the parking lot directed me upstairs to the spa. I was apprehensive again, as Stockton is not one of the safest place to shop or live. After my arrival, I asked for a tour of the spa. One of the managers showed me a relaxation room with three adjacent massage rooms, and another room with two stations for nails and three stations for pedicures. There was also a small check-in area. The areas were nicely decorated and seemed to be clean. I had to asked the receptionist to sit in the relaxation room prior to my massage. The owner, Terry Hopper provides massages, however I did not feel comfortable with a male, so I requested a female massage therapist. Evidently, the owner contracts out for other therapist to come and provide services at his spa. The woman who provided my massage did not know the feel of the room and had taken some minutes to try to set it up. She apologized for not knowing how to work the stereo, thus having a massage with no relaxing music. She did her best with attempting to provide me with a relaxing massage, however the outside noise was too loud. I could hear the other people in the next massage room talking almost the entire time of my massage! The room was cold and the one sheet and one blanket provided was not warm enough. Next, I went to the other room for my manicure. The woman who provided my manicure was sweet, however took way too long (45 minutes) to do a simple manicure. She could not see, although she was wearing glasses and had to use a magnifying glass to do my nails. When I got home I notice my thumb nail was bleeding due to her cutting my cuticles. I knew she was going to take too long for a pedicure, so i simply asked her to not cut my toe nails or change my polish to help speed up the process. While there I found out this spa just recently opened in July of 2011, and did the Groupon deal to attempt to get new business. Customers who frequent spas want a relaxing experience and this place did not provide that. Unfortunately, I am sad to say I will not be back as a return customer. read more

I purchased from Groupon too. I was really excited to go to a "spa" for a manicure, pedicure and 45 minute deep tissue massage. When I first called to schedule my appointment, I was actually laughed at! I was told it would be weeks before they could get me in. I went ahead and made the appointment and on the day of, I could not find the business, there were no signs, or an available entrance. I drove around and around this little block of closed down, locked up buildings and when I finally called the number for more directions, I was told to go thru another business, and up some stairs. I was a little skeptical, but tried anyway. The other business did not have any sings outside either and when I tried to go inside, the door was locked and the people inside looked like they lived there. They came and opened the door just as I was about to drive away and told me the "spa" was upstairs. I was very uncomfortable entering but when I got up the stairs, it looked like no spa I have ever seen! I was immediately turned off and the final straw was the gentleman who came in to greet me did not look like he belonged there and he told me they were not giving Madi/Pedi's and I could have another massage, but it didn't look like anywhere where I would want to be massaged, so I just left. I'm not a spa expert; I never get to have pampering done, so this was a real disappointment for me. I will have to see if Groupon will refund my money because I will NEVER go back to this place. read more
