Best local steak house in area. With wonderful ever changing salad bar. Very casual and great cocktails.

The server told us that some of the meat is raised by the restaurant, and some of it is brought in from somewhere else (I forgot where though) The service was great and everyone was really nice. And the food... you can see it in the picture, it was that good haha!

Right away we were greeted, my coat was taken and we were seated. We came pretty early in the evening and there weren't many people in the restaurant. I was disappointed to have been seated at a 4 person table in the middle of the room while there were plenty of smaller, two person tables more tucked away which would've offered a more intimate experience in my opinion. We started with the Burrata and M.D. Polenta. The burrata was as you'd expect but the Polenta was my favorite dish we ordered. It had so much flavor and basically melted in your mouth. It was even better to add it on top of the focaccia and burrata! For our main courses I ordered the Tajarin Dalla Forma. It was a fun experience to have them come to the table and spin the pasta in the cheese wheel but I wouldn't say the pasta was anything exceptional. Honestly, it tasted just like Annie's boxed white cheddar Mac and cheese. My boyfriend got the NY Strip (it was $83) and he said it was the chewiest steak he had ever had. It was cooked medium rare as he had requested but there was literally no explanation for how chewy it was. He makes better steaks at home on the stove top. The lobster tail I will say was the best lobster tail I've ever had. Overall, the service was great but the food wasn't worth the price you pay. If you're looking for a good steak, this isn't the place to go. I also disagree with friends and family, this isn't the best restaurant in town. Highly recommend DISH if you're wanting a high end dinning experience

Some stand outs to me were the rolls. Move over Texas Roadhouse, these are the best rolls I've ever had. And that was just the first bites. We had corn about 6 different ways, and as a ceratifed corn head, this was terrific. Each dish was so thoughtfully curated and executed. I can see why this is such an occasion place, but even breakfast the next day was great. The cinnamon rolls are out of this world. The views of the hazelnut fields and all the greenery really feels otherwordly. Truly one of my favorite dining experiences as of late.

Before Covid timber's restaurant was the best. They had a great buffet, and their meals, even though expensive were worth it. My family and I and our adult kids all went over July 4 weekend. We had a terrific time except for the Timber's restaurant. The food was terrible.. there were 12 of us, and although the service was five stars, we couldn't believe the quality of the food. Not one of us had a good meal, which I know seems hard to believe. I will give one example... Two eggs, potatoes, and bacon. $22. We asked for the eggs over medium and they came over hard. They apologized and brought us two more eggs, both over hard again. Should be simple to make eggs... And why $22? At dinner a couple of my boys ordered steaks medium rare. They were delivered medium well... both of their steaks were overcooked. It was $35 for a piece of meat that was overcooked and the sides were extra. For what they charge at Timbers, you would think you were getting a great meal, but that's not the case. We couldn't eat our deviled eggs; it tasted like an ingredient had expired? We never return food, but we had to send this back. I'm not sure what happened, but five years ago, the restaurant was great. Now it is honestly terrible and overpriced. Timber's, seriously, you need to look at your menu, hire better cooks, and charge a fair price. The Lied Lodge is so great and your staff is terrific, but your restaurant can be better.

The place is exactly how I remember it. Small town hole in the wall charm upfront, dated attempt at upscale in back. Like a reverse mullet. But in a charming way. The waitress was friendly and she kept the coffee coming. The coffee was excellent and the best part of the meal. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs. They had brown gravy on request which is always a big plus in my book. (White gravy is just sausage stuck in flour paste in my book, but that might just be me) The eggs and toast were cooked perfectly and delicious. But the steak sadly was well overdone and the breaking burned black. As a result it was dry as can be and had a bitter burned taste. The gravy helped but we were 2 steps from cremation so not enough. The people I was with got an excellent omelette and a single pancake that was as big as a dinner plate. All great food on their report. I would go back in a heartbeat. Not going to hold 1 bad item against them. Plus for me the nostalgia was off the charts.
