When I went here (while visiting the outlets with my wife and daughter), there were two L3 stations here by EVGo (those are the fast DC chargers than can charge most EVs to like 80% in an hour or so)...and neither one was functional. First I attempted doing things directly with my credit card...and their system couldn't read a credit card. Then I attempted doing things with their app...which didn't recognize my account even after verifying my e-mail and all that jazz. Then I attempted using contactless payment via my phone and my card that has that set up...no luck. Frustrated, I attempted calling their customer service number....and got nobody after being on hold for 30 minutes plus. There are other locations by this same company that work fine, but this one isn't it. Until they fix it, avoid, or risk being stranded.

Was happy to find this near the Sheetz so you can easily get road trip snacks. Had no issues with chargers and the sheet has an area with tables and chairs if you want to chill. Fairly simple access to highway No big issues getting in and out.

What's amazing here is that the stations are FREE to park and to recharge, thanks to the generosity of the Tanger Outlets Blowing Rock. Of course, there isn't much else within walking distance so if you're parked here, odds are that you're going to be shopping at the mall. There is limited shade here as the stations are against a high wall and it faces south. The shopping plaza does have food, candy and free wifi. The charging stations are open 24 hours.
