The cappuccino was perfectly made and paired wonderfully with breakfast. One of the highlights was the beautiful outdoor balcony seating, which was perfect for bringing our dog. The staff went above and beyond by bringing out a plate with ham, cheese, bacon, and fresh water just for our pup. That level of thoughtfulness and hospitality really stood out. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Between the amazing food, great coffee, stunning balcony views, and outstanding service, Coffee Cup Cafe is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back!

I ordered the smothered ham and egg bagel sandwich and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was tasty and was made with freshly ground beans from a real espresso machine, which I always appreciate. The sandwich was warm, tasty, and our food came out really quickly. My husband and I shared an apple cinnamon scone that they warmed up for us. It was soft, delicious, and not overly sweet. We sat outside on the patio with our pup. There was plenty of seating, and the view of the mountains in the background was beautiful. The highway is right there, so you do hear the traffic, but it was still a relaxing place to enjoy breakfast. The whole café was also incredibly clean. As a dog owner, I'm usually having to keep my pup from finding crumbs on the ground, but even the outdoor patio was spotless. I didn't notice any food, trash, or sticky tables anywhere. It was obvious the staff takes pride in keeping the place clean. Even the bathrooms were surprisingly spacious and just as clean as the rest of the café. The best part was how kind everyone was. When they saw we had our dog with us, they asked if she could have a treat. I expected a Milk Bone, but they came out with the cutest little plate that had a bowl of water, a few pieces of chicken, a little bacon, a little ham, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese. It was the perfect amount for a pup with a sensitive stomach, and she was so happy. Between the friendly staff, great coffee, thoughtful touches, spotless café, and relaxing atmosphere, this was an easy 5 stars. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

I'm unsure…read moreif their current location is permanent, but they are currently located at 311 NW US 25 70 HWY, Hot Springs, NC 28743. This was one of very few small businesses that had yet to reopen when we visited. So we wanted to stop in and show our support by buying some gifts and a cup of tea. Still in the process of reestablishing, their new space is coming along nicely. Lots of pretty jewelery, trinkets, crystals, various gifts and even a small selection of plants. It appears that multiple talented artisans sell their work here. I've wanted a Rose of Jericho for a long time, but had resisted buying one so far. There are reports that much of what is available on the market has been poached from wildlife. But when one of the owners noticed my interest in them, he told me how when they were finally allowed to come back after the hurricane, they opened the door to their flooded shop to see all the Rose Of Jerichos alive and floating in the water. "I knew right then that we were going to be ok." I was sold and will cherish mine, with this sentiment attached. I also bought myself a new little Pilea for my Fairy Garden, some beautiful earrings, and a handful of gifts for my loved ones. I snagged a hot tea as I paid for purchases and then used their clean restroom before we headed out into the wilderness for the day. This seems to be another favorite amongst the Appalachian Trail pack, and I can see why. Im looking forward to coming back later in the season and seeing their progress in rebuilding.

I guess there are two buildings - a restaurant and an order window. I was waiting in line at the…read moreorder window just to order coffee and fries to go. The first thing the lady at the register said was "are you going to place an order?" Well yeah....... I'm standing in line to order, not just for the hell of it. So when I ordered the coffee and fries and water bottle to go, it seemed like she didn't know what the concept of "to go" was, bc she had to ask someone else multiple times about placing an order for fries, and they also seemed confused when the order was made and they were just walking around with the items, asking this large group of people and not even bothering to come to where I was, until the group pointed them to my direction. Anyhow, the fries are unsalted. Tasteless. And the cold foam that the person at the register said would be on the coffee wasn't even there. I was ordering for my pregnant sister and seems like they can't even get a simple order right. They lack an organized system to keep track of who orders what. They don't take names down, they don't have numbers to give out, they don't have an area for people waiting on their items who just want to grab and go. This is unfortunate for what could be such a cute spot that's right by the water. You'd think they'd be more efficient with their customer service.

Cute spot by the river, and I can see it would be a great spot to hang out when the weather is nice. It's easy to get to, just off the highway, so perfect if you need to grab real food and stretch your legs for a bit. They have a nice array of coffees. My latte was a bit on the sweet side, but I know for next time to ask to go light on the sweet stuff. The menu was pared down, being the off-season, but they had a few things, and my sandwich was executed well, and it was very good! The potato salad was also delish! I will stop on the way again, and you should too!

My husband & I biked the ecusta trail with our daughter and stopped by this spot on the way back. We got the smash burger but had to get it with gluten free bread since we can't have gluten, and it was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had! I absolutely love that they use no seed oils in this place. So tough to find! I was super excited to try the drinks with their house made flavors but they fell a bit flat for me. I got the strawberry basil matcha , and the matcha seemed watered down unfortunately. My husband got the toasted coconut latte and the drink fell flat for him as well. The atmosphere is beautiful & calm! Either way, we were happy to support local, go to a seed-oil free spot, and have drinks with housemade syrups! Could've just been a bad day for the barista. Looking forward to trying again!

What a pleasant surprise this cafe was. Friendly service and a decent sized menu. We ordered at the counter and found a seat in the cozy back room. We would have sat outside but it was a bit too hot. The food came out hot and fast and OMG the portions were huge. I'm not kidding when I say, this was the best chicken salad I've ever had. The croissant was loaded! And so was my husband's club sandwich. The crispy Brussels were insanely good. Again, some of the best I've ever had. The gentleman that took our order came to check on us and I had to let him know that our lunch was amazing. He told us that it was his family's restaurant and they took food quality very seriously. There is NO doubt about that. I wish this place was in my backyard. Seriously the best lunch we had while on vacation!! I was told their oatmeal cream pies were a hit, so I had to get one for the road. They were not kidding. I tried to make it last a couple days to really savor the sweetness and it was torture. I wanted to inhale the cookie sandwich after the first bite. The cookie was chewy and soft, and the cream balanced it out perfectly. If the owners see this, I need a whole box shipped to me ASAP. The only thing I will note is... while browsing the general store after having lunch, I stopped to let one of the employees know that they had a great selection of items. She proceeds to look at me weird and then ask me if I had two hats on. What? She then reaches out and touches the brim of my hat. She acted like I was stealing. I took my hat off to show that I indeed only had one hat on and I was so put off by the interaction. I hadn't even tried on any of the hats they had for sale. Not sure if they have a problem with people stealing there and are just hyper vigilant, but please do not touch customers. Thank goodness the lunch was fantastic, because I would have been very upset after that interaction. Otherwise a great experience aside from that weird interaction. The general store does have a great selection of gifts and other items.
