This is a great charging station! We grabbed some lunch from the McDonald's up the road and then came here to charge. We got here at 12pm and out of the 80 plus chargers only two were being used. Love the covered parking. It was 92 degrees c but it didn't feel that bad since we were in the shade. Google sent me to the ones at Carls Jr, but the Tesla app got me to the right spot. read more

We really liked this location. It backs a gas station which you can quickly walk to. The gas station is large, offers restrooms, and a wide variety of snacks and drinks. We gave this location four out of five because two out of the three charging stations we tried were not functioning. There were about 75 charging units. One of the largest supercharger stations I've seen in a while, but I would expect that on a major highway like I-10 about halfway between Los Angeles and Phoenix. There are 36, yes 36, superchargers here all with the usual Tesla connector on them and running at 250 kW. The parking area is located on the north side of the highway and there is absolutely no shade here. There is, however, a Carl's Jr adjacent. Not much else. Decent stop for the Phoenix-Los Angeles run. While I prefer Morongo, this is alright. It's fast, and not far from a few stores. But if it's 115 degrees, the quarter mile walk to Terrible's is...terrible... There's a Carl's Jr in the same corner, but it's an awful place. Always filthy, and more than 50% of the time the bathrooms are out of order. The food is junk to start with, but takes forever to get. Avoid it. read more

Love this this is a V3 charging station with a bunch of new stalls. Everything pretty spread out and a great midway point from PHX to SOCAL. The only thing I can't stand is the Carl's Jr. is NOT open late and you cannot use their restrooms... Stopped here twice on a trip from Arizona to California. Tons of chargers available. On the way out Friday morning the Carl's Jr. was open for food and the restrooms were available. On the way back Sunday evening the Carl's Jr. was drive through only and the restrooms were not available. It looks like they removed all trash cans which was annoying but I guess helped with the overflowing trash issue I've read about in the past. Had to stop by a gas station to use the restroom. read more

The chances of not finding a vacant charging stall is pretty slim at this charging location. The layout of the main charging lot was very well thought out. Very easy to park. If that lot is full, there are additional charging stalls over in the parking lot of Carl's Jr. After plugging in the car for a charge, I walked over to Carl's Jr to use their restroom. I then waited in the car for it finish charging, during which I got to watch a father and son play catch with a football in the adjacent dirt lot. read more

Pros: 1. Fast 250 kw charger 2. LOTS of chargers available (I think 36) Cons: 1. This is the dirtiest supercharger I have ever seen by far. There are literally piles of trash everywhere and next to almost every parking stall. 2. There were homeless people hanging out in the bushes on one side. 3. There is only a Carl's Jr here, and the McDonald's is a decent walk down the street. 4. I was excited at first that they had 36 chargers, but it's way too much. As long as you can get one, the others have zero benefit to me. 5. Normally the 250 kw charger earns a much higher rating, but it can't offset the cons. Plus the thing about the superchargers is that if you want a full charge, it always takes an hour because they slow it down at the end so that it always takes about one hour whether it is 72, 120, 150, or 250. read more

Great new supercharger site behind Terribles gas station in Quartzite, AZ. There are 84 chargers many are shaded by large solar panels. Also plenty of trash bins. So much better than the other, older, site across the street next to Carl's Jr. I would have got out to take some more pictures but it was 124°F! read more

2/5 stars. Pros: Fast charge & lots of available chargers. My husband said the men's restroom was "okay." Carls Jr. order came fairly quick. Cons: Homeless encampment a few hundred yards from the chargers. When I went to use the restroom in the Carls Jr., which is the only facility at this charge site, a homeless man was cleaning up in the women's restroom. The bathroom also had a terrible smell. Needless to say, I skipped using this facility. Overall, this stop serves up the bare minimum. I wouldn't feel comfortable stopping here at night as a solo female traveler. read more

We charged here two times in a recent trip to Phoenix. Our first stop was a Friday afternoon and there was one other car here charging. Plugged in at 17% and got 250 kW for a few mins then it tapered down. The Carl's Jr. closed its restroom so walk across street to gas station where we also got a snack. Walked back to car 25 mins later and car was back to 85%. Zoom! We're back on the road. Return trip on Sunday afternoon there are about 8 cars. This time we stopped at the McDonald's nearby for their restrooms and got dinner. Ate in car while charging for about 25 mins again. Overall great chargers. If the Carl's Jr. was fully operational(due to pandemic) it was be a great one stop charge and refresh. Setting this supercharger as our preferred stop next trip to Phoenix. read more

I'll give a 3 star because of the number of fast chargers that have been added since last year, but this place is a dump. Literally! Trash everywhere and the trash cans filled to the rim and overflowing. Trash by the charging stations dumped near and around which leads me to believe these are also Tesla owners dropping crap. Come on people... one would think that people who own electric cars would be more inclined to ensure that places are not littered. Obviously, I was wrong about that. The other reason besides the trash everywhere as to why this is getting a not so high rating- the closest restroom is at Carl's Jr and they blocked the access so we couldn't use the rest room. Ridiculous. We came through here this time last year and I thought the same thing, but now even more so. Zero stars for amenities nearby, but having the chargers is a life saver and they're fast and there are quite a lot of them too. read more

Two charging units I tried were non-operational (would start a charge and then stop after a few minutes). These units desperately need some sort of shade over them as it was almost too hot in the sun to pick up the charging plug. Trash was overflowing in the cans nearby and there is only one fast food restaurant there which also wasn't particularly clean. The Supercharging network is great but try to use a different location than this one if you can. read more

Located behind the Carl's Junior you will find 8 120 KW superchargers. This is basically the middle of nowhere so I am thankful there is a supercharger half way to Phoenix. But be for-warned, there is nothing here but the Carl's. You can use the bathroom and if you like fast food I guess this is a good stop? All others, bring a snack. We wee there at dawn and this supercharger was lightly attended and we got a fast charge. We also hit this supercharger on the way home and only got 45KW despite being the only Tesla charging at the time. read more

I'll give this supercharger 2 stars only for having so many chargers available but after that it's just horrific! The only and I mean the only place to walk to while your Tesla is charging is a Carl's Jr. but only their drive through is open so you'll have to drive to Mc Donald's to use a toilet! I would go to McDonald's first get your food, use the toilet and then go to this charger, DO NOT GIVE THE CARL'S Jr YOUR BUSINESS! I was told by frequent travelers here that they can be open to order inside and let us use the restroom but they don't want to clean their restrooms...really gross , unfair and super inconvenient to all the Tesla owners who need to stop! I will email Tesla and please have them look into this or maybe they can get a Tesla friendly fast food place to open here read more

Awesome v3 superchargers in large quantity with fast charging. A few spots next to carl's Jr are probably slower v2, so drive an extra 30 feet away to the massive array of fast v3 chargers. No food except carl's Jr and bathroom there is not very clean. read more
