The nice part of this charging station is that it's next to a Hilton Garden Inn so IF you needed to use the restrooms, just walk inside and you should be good to go. I drive to different Superchargers for fun. I happened to be in the area for work and decided to stop by. Interesting how it was located in a Hilton garden inn private lot. I would imagine it being in the back of side of building but nope, it was right smack at the entrance. The positive for this is... no circling around trying to find the place. The negative is... there are people driving like bats out of hell coming into the parking lot from the Main Street. It is very, very busy. Since it's all back up chargers, it is a bit nerve racking when it is high traffic times. I came today and one slot was broken. I probably waited 20mins before I got a spot. There were at last 3 people after me when drove off due to the long wait. The charger isn't very fast so everyone tends to stay longer. There is a sign for maximum 40min charge time but it is not enforced. Charging slot availability is also limited. This is a location I could forego when I have charging needs. Makes me appreciate my ginormous Westminster supercharging station. read more

We were in the area and saw on the map that there were several spots still available for charging at this Supercharger location. This place was pretty easy to find as it was located right off Marine Ave in the hotel complex. They had the Hilton Garden Inn, Residence Inn, and Homewood Suites all in the vicinity. There was also the public art titled "The Art of Surf" which lit up pretty nice with the different colored lights. Once we went down the road, we saw the Superchargers with their classic red TESLA logo lighting up the night (the fleet of Teslas being charged helped as well). We picked a spot and plugged right in. The area was fairly well lit. There was also a sign nearby that said charging was only limited to 40 minutes. Overall, it was a nice place to do a quick charge. It was pretty easy to find and there were Pokestops nearby to pass the time. Other than that, there wasn't much to do around there unless you're spending the night at one of the hotels. read more

This Tesla supercharger is located in Los Angeles. It is located inside a Hilton Garden Inn. For many people this serves as a convenient "pit stop" charger. It is most convenient for people that are coming to or from LAX. My family and I are not from LA. One day while in town we stopped at this supercharger, not knowing until later that it would be situated next to a hotel. This proved to be convenient later on as my family took another road trip to LA. We picked our hotel based on its vicinity to the supercharger and scheduled our charging times as to minimize waiting in line. Currently there are 8 superchargers, available 24/7, up to 120kW. Being a high-use supercharger the time limit is 40 minutes and max 80% capacity on your battery. When we visited it was always busy except late at night. It also didn't help that at one point one of the stations was unusable. Another concern about this particular station is the way the station is set up in relation to the hotel. It's close to the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn as well as the entrance to the main street at Marine Ave. This has the potential to cause a lot of problems, especially in regards to line management. Luckily we didn't have to personally experience this. Refreshments and restrooms are located inside the Hilton Garden Inn and welcome people charging outside. read more

Great charger. Little info about it, this is a V2 charging station. I was able to get 139kW charge rate at an unshared station. Once another Tesla pulled up next to me to charge it dropped to 62kW. If someone charges next to you, the power is split between the two cars and could slow down the charge rate, as seen in the photos. Overall great, had bathrooms and place to sit. read more

A good location with a fair amount of charging stations. It has easy access near a freeway along with trash receptacles nearby. There is even a nearby hotel that has a snack shop and available restrooms if needed. However it can get crowded during peak times due to the number of charging stations. read more

It's now the 3rd time ive come hoping for a different result, but even without other cars parked next to me the charging rate is unacceptable compared to what we've come to expect from Tesla. Teslas are getting popular in the South Bay. Thank goodness there are 3 separate Supercharger locations to choose from. This location has around 10 chargers. This location is well used, but I've hardly ever had to wait. The one time I did wait, it was maybe a 5 minute wait. If I charge around lunchtime, I have lunch across the street at TomBoys. Kill two birds with one stone - fill up Jerry and fill up the Tesla at the same time. So far only tried the Burbank Supercharger also, and this location has more chargers and less people waiting to charge. read more

This charging location seems to be slower than it used to be. I hit it at a low usage point and my charging was quite a bit lower than at other locations I've been charging at recently. The line up process for charging when it is full is very difficult to maneuver compared with other locations. Placing the chargers right next to the lot entrance of a relatively busy hotel is problematic. Additionally, there have not been attendants to guide the line-up like other locations have. Hopefully new locations will open up in the area soon since I see more and more new Teslas in the South Bay everyday. (FYI Tesla: The South Bay Galleria Target parking lot would be awesome since it has tons of parking and the largest local Target for shopping.) read more

Tesla needs to improve the line-up process for this supercharger. It is very confusing where the line is supposed to start and supposed to end. This causes many people to unknowingly cut, which is obviously frustrating. Every now and then you will run into the a Tesla owner who considers himself an "expert" on the line up process. He will condescendingly tell you how the line works even though he doesn't really know. I have had these "experts" tell me various "official" ways the line works. Been to several tesla supercharges in LA and this is the best charging station by far. Got here at 9pm on a Saturday night and there's no wait with plenty of available spot for charge. Dropped the car off; walked into the Hilton garden inn nearby and there's a cool lounge with couches and seats everywhere. Highly recommended for everyone who's nearby LAX :) read more

Not a bad location right off the freeway, at a Hilton Garden Inn Hotel for a restroom or snack stop.... however, there are often hotel guests parked in the Tesla supercharger spots - Guests that DO NOT have Teslas nor are they charging. Be warned -if your dashboard reports there are a certain number of stalls open, it could be incorrect information because if a non-Tesla car is parked in the supercharger station without charging, it doesn't register. Not a great spot if you are in a hurry and really a bummer for anyone wanting to charge. I asked the hotel about this and the response was that they let their guests park in the Tesla spots overnight when the hotel is full. Yet they don't have them move the cars in the morning when other spaces open up. Tesla should know about this and reconsider the space. read more

Key here - if you are staying in LA and have flexibility, I would totally recommend staying in the Residence Inn / Marriotts in this parking lot especially if you have a Tesla. This spot is SUPER high traffic charging but if you're a guest in the hotel you can quickly check and drive over in less than 5 mins and charge so much more conveniently. Ill be honest, I very rarely saw more than 1 spot open whenever we left the hotel or got back at night, and I would just spy it on my app and run over when I needed a charge, usually late at night. Good charge speeds though. Also, the queuing system is just Parking in the lot itself, so lots of honesty on who was here first to get on next. Can be challenging. read more

Out of the way spot, so you generally don't have to wait too long for a space, if at all. Sometimes the charging is quick, but if all the stations are taken you can get under 10kW or even hover around 5kW. This is insane. Also one station has been broken for weeks without any repairs in sight. We chose to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn because it is a supercharger site. When we arrived at the hotel to check in we were dismayed to find all stalls were full. It didn't dawn on us (new Tesla owners) that non hotel guests would stop in to use the chargers. We were able to charge a bit before our dinner out and fully upon return. Only 7 actual chargers working right now. Waited 15 minutes for an open charger. Went inside the Hilton for a coffee. Been here to charge my car twice and both times the Starbucks was closed. I wasn't here at awkward times either - first time was on a Sunday morning around 10am and second time was on a Monday afternoon around 345pm. When does this place actually serve customers?
