This is new to 6 th ave midtown. I haven't been in this area in a few months and glad I noticed. There's an assortment of Japanese and other Asian items from candy to novelties. A dedicated onigiri fridge, drinks, yogurts, candy, all types of imported Japanese snacks and items. I couldn't shop how I wanted this visit but I'll return to rack up on non accessible items. I did grab shipped fruit sandwich for the first time and Chinese yogurt. Both delicious, I never thought I eat a whipped fruit sandwich. I grab the fresher ones from the back. The staff was accommodations best they can with utensils such as straw and spoon. There's sales sometimes too!

Dropped by on a whim just to check it out bc I saw a sign for fruit creme sandos and chicken sandos. I happened to see one last chicken sando for "sale" for $7 from $8. I bought it on a whim since it was made from cafe zaiya (at the actual store, it would prob be $9.50). The cashier was kind and asked if I wanted it microwaved. She heated it up for 1 minute and I'm glad she did. I gobbled it up. I would come here again for this sandwich. It's a large piece of chicken and bread was still good/bit chewy (good way). The cabbage slaw was minimal and the spicy mayo was good enough. The spicy wasn't spicy though so rest assured that it would be okay for people who can't tolerate! Nice treat in this expensive city!

Asian food mini mart. Was really excited to see it. Packed up on all my favs from Tokyo. Ramune, onigiri and cream cakes. Absolutely NOTHING was fresh. The cakes were stale and the onigiri was ROCK HARD. Once I broke the rice it was like styrofoam. The store is bright and aesthetically pleasing but someone needs to throw out all products and start over. Prepared foods should be fresh and the packaged foods should be within the expiration date.

Great selection of snacks and self-care. Particularly love the hot drink case and onigiri.

You would think with Pepsi being headquartered in New York, it would be a little easier to come by,…read morebut seemingly every restaurant and/or quick stop has Coke. Traveling the streets of New York, I had built up a thirst, and saw there was a CVS close to Grand Central where i was going to be doing a tour, and grabbed a Mtn Dew and a bag of chips for a quick snack. Easy in and easy out. The store seemed clean, and although I didn't encounter any employees as I used the self-checkout, the interactions I saw seemed positive. All and all, thank you, CVS, for having Mtn Dew in stock and available.

Recently I'd ordered two bottles of Extra Strength Antacid Tablets from CVS, when I had a discount…read morecoupon. Unfortunately their expiration date is just several months from now, and meanwhile each bottle has 250 pills (admittedly the suggested dosage is 3 pills at-a-time, but still....). There's no way we'd consume anywhere near 500 of those pills by their expiration date, so I wanted to exchange them for bottles that have a more reasonable expiration. Today I had to be just one block from this store for a medical appointment, and fortunately there were (only) two bottles available - and their expiration date was *much* more generous. I went to the cashier's counter, and the cashier explained that she needed to have a supervisor handle the exchange (and I'd brought my receipt with me). The shift supervisor was inexplicably *nasty*, and from the very beginning. Meanwhile; she told me she couldn't do an "even exchange" because the flavor was different than the ones I'd purchased (?!) - so she said I'd have to return the ones I'd bought and then purchase the other ones. I told her that I'd used a discount coupon when making the purchase, whereas a "new" purchase would *not* provide the discount. She continued being nasty and suddenly disappeared, and then she *finally* reappeared many minutes later. At that point she told me she'd confirmed with the store manager what she'd told me - but she should have had the courtesy to at least tell me why she was suddenly leaving, and her nastiness was totally inexcusable. Now I'm going to contact the CVS Customer Service Department, but I shouldn't have to waste so much time re: this situation - and most importantly, CVS shouldn't have an employee who's so nasty. (The only reason why I'm giving two stars instead of one is because a very pleasant employee helped me find the location of the pills).
