I'm going to give this supermarket a three because of prices. Now from the moment I walked into the…read morestore, I was overwhelmed because of it being the kind of market it was. I was quite happy to see some items I was familiar with but because I'm not Asian, I would think that that it would be some one around to help answer some questions, maybe guide some one twas the many options of a particular item they have. Example, I went looking for a certain kind of vinegar to have with my soup dumplings, found the section but no one was around to help me figure out which one to choose from all the options they had. I mean they had many customers going in there knowing exactly what they wanted and what to look for, but for someone like me, I just wished they had more staff working or around to help customers as myself. Overall I do like the market because they not only have food for preparation, but they also had hot cooked food, a fresh seafood/fish area, and kitchen appliances along with household items. The prices are also quite high for some basic products, that you could find cheaper elsewhere. Im gonna yes for another visit but I just can't give any thumbs up or down. I can say Happy Yelping!

I like getting the raw fish here as well. Aisles are narrow but it's expected. Staff was nice - keep your eye on the prices because a few items add up.

It's a lovely, quaint spot, which, I imagine, gets a bit busier during the summer, especially during community events. When I visited on a weekday afternoon, it was very empty. There are also a variety of food stalls to choose from. I ordered jerk mac & cheese from Black Eyed Peas NYC. I also ordered a couple of pastries from Mama T. I enjoyed their matcha white chocolate cookie and ube cookies. I loved that Mama T offered a variety of Asian comfort foods with clear inspirations from Filipino & Japanese treats. I hope to see La Marqueta grow! I should go back for their community event nights. :)
