The ladies, to my right, celebrating a birthday, were friendly, laughing hysterically, wiping tears & taking photos saying "Three hours for this" (holding up their unrecognizable baked item as if to say 'all this- for this!') As others have mentioned in their reviews, the business is run by a husband and wife team. From the moment we arrived, the female owner's rude, hostile, and dismissive attitude set a negative tone. Despite following their instructions to arrive early, we were told we couldn't wait inside, and it was hot out! We completed the required waivers in advance as recommended, but we were met with annoyance instead of appreciation--almost as if our preparedness was an inconvenience. We made every effort to remain friendly, polite, and respectful, but her dismissive, cold and abrasive demeanor persisted to the point that we genuinely considered walking out before the class even began. What could have been a fun and memorable evening was completely derailed by her unprofessional conduct. We tried to make small talk, and I have a high tolerance for rudeness, but this was to a scale that I have never encountered. There were roughly 10 couples in the class, and as we began interacting with others, it quickly became clear that we weren't alone in our experience. Several guests shared similar complaints about her attitude and lack of courtesy. It wasn't just a bad day or a misunderstanding--this is a pattern. In addition to the customer service issues, the structure of the class itself was disappointing. We signed up expecting a hands-on cooking experience. While we were allowed to assist with some small tasks, the majority of the cooking was done by the chef. The setup seemed more geared toward encouraging guests to purchase additional drinks (which are not included) and to socialize, rather than actually teaching any meaningful culinary skills. Although we enjoyed the meal and met new people, I don't believe anyone left with the knowledge or confidence to recreate the dishes at home. While I understand that this format may help keep the evening on schedule, it wasn't what I paid for or hoped to experience. Given the premium price of the class, we expected a welcoming, professionally run event. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, disrespected and disappointed. I would not attend again, and I strongly discourage others from signing up until the owners--particularly the female co-owner--reevaluate how they engage with their guests or sell it to someone with people skills.

my opinion of harriman middle school is very low.one reason is because when my daughter was in 6th…read moregrade now she is going to high school,that she had recieved a death threat and that principle there done nothin to the girl that made the death threat.it was wrote out on paper so proof of the threat was not questionable.now my son is going into 6th grade and was tryn out for the football team and was the only one not picked.i don't know why but i can only specualte as to why.i also attended the school when i was a kid and now 2 of the kid's i went to school with there are the head coaches.needless to say that that the two kids that i attended school with dnt get along very well are the head coaches now.also when we confonted the principal about the death threat that my daughter recieved he was very rude and cused at my wife.so know they are taking out against my son by not letting him on the football team and of course the coaches sons made the team.my son has played city league football for 2 years and they won the bronze metal when he was on the team also he played baseball last year and there team waon the championship last season when he played baseball.so it's not like he dosen't have any athletic expirence.if i could i wouldn't even give it 1 star but to make the post i have to give it at least 1 star

As a manager who has both, taken this company's leadership evaluation, and read the results, I…read morewould not use this assessment tool in my own hiring process under any circumstances (and especially not for middle-management or higher). It seems to be a hodge-podge of myopic, either-or scenarios (whereas real life doesn't work that way), pushed through a pop-psychology algorithm, producing random results. And I know that it's not that I might be unhappy with any negative aspects of my personal results, because their "positive" results were just as incorrect. For example: multiple questions addressed reporting workplace theft. Would you report it, if witnessed? More accurately, 1 to 5, how likely are you to report it? Well, as a manager, with no one to report it to, but myself, this clearly doesn't speak to me, or a wide set of test takers. But, let's roll with it, since we're not given a N/A choice. Absent from that narrow band of answers provided is any nuance, possibility of intervention, misunderstanding, clarification, teaching moments, etc. A good manager and employee uses discretionary skills. Answering this test the way they want forces one to become less than their potential, and forces fake dichotomies. And make no mistake, they will penalize you for choosing a middle of the road, protest/common sense answer. Secondly, after the management section (the quality of which is represented above), one moves on to the surprise IQ test. They didn't call it that, but I've taken professionally administered IQ tests before, and this has many of the same elements. You don't expect it. You don't know if it's actually being timed (and evaluated based on timing). And you never consented to being evaluated in that way. You were told it was just a management evaluation. To be honest, it felt like a violation of trust. Decide to stop the test at this point, 40 min in? Lose the job opportunity. Finally, there's the crappy illustrations. 'Match the pattern' tests can be fun. What's not fun is leaning in and squinting, because the symbols are tiny, smudged or imperfectly drawn. Then hoping the differences are indeed intentional. Overall, a terrible experience with highly questionable results. I have taken several of these, and talked extensively with testing administrators, and this one was, by far, the bottom of the barrel. I have quite enjoyed such tests in the past, and often found their results to be enlightening. I refuse to lie on these, and tell them exactly what they want to hear (I feel it sets one up for mutual disappointment at a resulting job); however, if that doesn't bother you, I suggest you do what you need to in order to "pass". It's not like it's hard to see what they are looking for. "No, I wouldn't download a car". Just be sure you don't state that work-life balance is important to you. They will spit out "_____does not have a high work drive. He sometimes needs to step up his work intensity and invest more time and energy into his job, especially during highly demanding situations." That's pretty rich, considering I work one of the most stressful, high-demand jobs out there, put in many hours, work through most lunches, and come home exhausted (sometimes after 14 hour days). Great work, Resource Associates, Inc. You pegged me.
