I'm one of those difficult people that actually expects contractors to show up on time, do a good job for a reasonable price, while communicating openly and often. 99% of the time in Jackson, I've been deeply disappointed. I am delighted to say, that Peter and Teton Movers are in the 1%! I started looking for movers for my out-of-state move with the national carriers. They insisted I needed an 18-wheeler and a "shuttle" to move stuff from my house (on a cul-de-sac) to a nearby street because their trucks couldn't get to my driveway (which is completely flat). Peter confidently stated he could get the contents of my house in a 26-foot box truck that would back right up to my garage. No concerns about weight, no muss, no fuss. Peter showed up on time with a 5-person crew who, at his direction, moved my stuff to the garage. Watching him pack the truck was like watching a master Tetris player! I was confident that my stuff was handled with care and packed safely. They were on their way within 5 hours. The next day, they met a family member in a neighboring state who happily reported that they proficiently moved my belongings into a storage unit that was roughly the size of the truck. Job well done at a price that was a fraction of what the national carriers wanted to charge me. If you're at all on the fence, don't be. Peter and his crew were awesome! read more

Our recent move was effected by Teton Movers. We paid, of course, to get All Our Stuff from Point A to Point B. That is a lot of weight and a lot of work, so, naturally, you have to pay someone to do that. But moving is so much more than the mechanics. It as, as they say, a major stressor--not an overstatement to call it a psychic trauma. So, yes, we paid Teton Movers to, as their business name suggests, move us. Really, though, it was equally an investment in mental health. Peter and Luis and company were so positive and so capable, it seriously dialed down our fears and frenzies. For starters, the time frame for getting us out of Here and into There was extremely tight. Peter put us right into the queue as if it was inevitable. We showed him all the odd stuff we had to move--weird furniture, heavy woodworking equipment, looms, a bunch of art--it didn't matter. Peter always had this wonderful lilt to his voice that put us at ease, as if saying "Of course. We have done that many times before. No problem." And Luis and his team did the most amazing packing and fitting-in. That, in itself, was a work of art. Bottom line: everything got onto a truck; everything got into our new digs. When the owners of a block of houses in Jackson Hole backtracked on an already-extended lease and raised the rent 40% at peak moving season, I was concerned! Finding affordable movers who are available at peak moving season is no small feat in the land of millionaires and billionaires! Fortunately, I found Peter at Teton Movers. Peter was highly responsive. He scheduled my last-minute move in short sprints over the course of a week or so, in between his company's already-scheduled moves. This gracious workaround was a godsend, as other movers' exorbitant pricing and limited availability had me worried! If I could give six stars, I would. My cross country move could not have gone better, nor could I find a more responsive and responsible crew. When I was shopping around for a moving company virtually every single one required an EXACT inventory of my possessions with the clear implication that if I miscalculated the price, already high, could skyrocket. And delivery dates were typically a guestimate involving weeks. Not Teton Movers. Peter, the owner, came out to my house, gave a firm and very fair quote, picked up exactly when scheduled and delivered exactly when promised. By far the best moving company I have used in Jackson. To start with - the communication is sharp and smooth, the quote is accurate and reasonable, the working crew is clean and professional. I used to company to receive furniture for my newly built house in Wilson. Everything was reported upon receiving and inspected for damage. The furniture installment was done as scheduled and Teton Movers navigated one tight staircase very carefully in order to set up all furniture in the upstairs living room. Currently I am also storing one of my vehicles with them and I am able to access anytime I need it. Truly amazing, the team that did our move was very professional and thorough. The team arrived on time and they finished the move quicker than estimated. They were so efficient with the packing and loading that we were truly impressed. Price came in competitively cheaper than another highly rated company in Jackson. When we moved into our newly constructed home, we also had a lot of furniture delivered to Teton Movers and they kept us updated as they were receiving the items. 2000 miles away ( Jackson hole to Greenwich CT ) and Peter not only went to the storage facility where my valuables were , he opened all the boxes and confirmed items through FaceTime so we knew what we were dealing with .
