The process buying the tickets was fairly simple although some of the staff look like completely bored teens being forced into labor. The line to get onto the Lift was fairly long--even with only 20 people ahead it still took almost 20 minutes until our turn. At the top the employee's instructions on making the cart faster/ensuring safety was easy to understand. Great for little kids. THE VIEW AND THE RIDE Being from Flat Florida and even coming from so many awesome views at nearby Yellowstone--the chair ride to the top was still breathtaking. Glances behind you provide great views of Jackson as well as the valley beyond. Of course it's also cool seeing the ground drop away from your feet with only a lap bar as your safety. We sat frozen though because the chair lift swayed with the gentle wind and strange creaking sounds made it sound like our cart would fall away any second. Although I understand the limitations, the 'advanced' slide (that doesn't mean you have to be experienced) could've easily become more 'thrilling' with the addition of sharper descents and a few uphill ascents. Oh well- it was definitely a fun ride either way especially with feeling the wind on your face and seeing the bushes whip by you. Awww the ride ended too early (again I understand the limitations haha) making you want to go again and again.

Ashton, our guide, was great. She shared little anecdotes about the area, asked small talk questions about us (where we're from, grades the kids are in, sports they play, etc.), and just made the float a great experience. (She's got a great energy!) Since most of our party of 5 cannot swim, we chose the scenic experience instead of white water. There was one tiny section that was a "sampler" of the white water experience. It wasn't wild by any means, but that was enough to get the kids excited about the prospect of doing a white water experience in the future.

We had a party of three generations -- two sets of grandparents in their 70s, parents, and 2 grandkids ages 4 and 2. Ana was accommodating to all ages, complete with teddy bears at the ready for the kids, snacks, drinks, fancy water bottles (to keep!) and the tour hadn't even started. Ana has a great depth of knowledge to share and tailored the tour of the Tetons for our attention spans and needs (we have little legs that need lots of exercise, some of the older folks can't do too much walking). Everybody was happy on this tour and it was definitely a highlight. We saw plenty of wildlife and went to places we would not have known about on our own. I absolutely would recommend Ana's tour to anyone I know and will definitely return to tour with her in the future. She is a classy guide with attention to detail and professionalism that is second to none.

There is a lovely shaded parking area and dogs are welcome here on a leash. I was very disappointed that the other dog owners I saw immediately let their dogs off luche even though there are multiple signs asking you not to do this. We were very respectful and kept our dogs leash on the entire time. I hope people like that don't ruin spaces like this for people like us. We walked some of the trails and it started to rain lightly, but the sprinkles on the water just added to the beauty. We walked on the little island and across the smooth stones in the water and small bridges and it was just magical. I would love a space like this near where I live and I hope those of you who live nearby don't take it for granted. There is art throughout the park and on our way out we were able to use the clean restrooms and get a drink of water. If I lived closer I would come here all the time. It is definitely worth a visit.
