Located in Ewa, getting gas here is both affordable and easy. There usually is a line depending on the time of day that you go and the way the lot is structured into the station is a little different however it moves quickly with cars being able to utilize both sides regardless of where their tank is. If you utilize cash or debit you also save by paying around an average of 10 cents less or so per gallon over credit. Make sure to plug in your Safeway card number if you're a member as well!

For people who have not been to the gas station...it is very small. Five people maximum inside the store. Entrance to the gas station is the same for Malama Market. Please do not come in the wrong way. The employees don't need any confrontations between customers in front of the store. Store hours has been cut so it's best to get to the store before the 7pm closing. Also when going into the store...make sure to wear a mask. The store does not carry any alcohol....better go to Malama Market. There's no ATM on the premises...better go to Malama Market. There's no public restroom either...better go elsewhere. Also the store does not sell any musubis, pork hash, manapua, or hot dogs. There's no room for a steamer, warmer, and a hot dog grill. At least Monster and RockStar have their own refrigerators at this location. People can purchase their last minute package beverages, ICEE, ice cream, cigarettes and gasoline at this small convenience store. Types of payment accepted at the store are cash, debit, and credit card. Sorry EBT not accepted at this store. Also customers can purchase the Aloha Petroleum gift card at this store. Aloha gift cards can be used as payment at this shop. There is a air/water machine outside and it costs $1.50 in quarters. You literally hit this gas station five seconds after getting off the highway so its super convenient, However, the configuration of the gas station and adjoining parking lot to Malama Market is designed to ensure that car accidents happen. I have seen so many near misses and fender benders of cars backing out of the lot while cars try to pull into it for gas. This parking lot is also an area for people to drop others off, switch cars, switch drivers, switch children, I have no idea of what is going on here but it sure is very active for being a gas station and parking lot. Note- do not try to get gas here before your morning commute into town, you will be late for work. It's normally packed and you have to wait for the person in front of you to finish filling up before you can go anywhere and sometimes that's 2 cars! Fill up in the evening time.

This is the worst gas station on any military base I have experienced. Every single time I go there…read morein the morning, the good coffee and creamer machines are always "out of service". This morning EVERY SINGLE COFFEE except for the plain black coffees, the drip style was out of service. I have gone back a few times in the afternoon just to see if they are working and well they were. So either they are not preparing the coffee early enough, or they are all legitimately broken. If so, what's the point in being 24 hours if you're not even going to have coffee ready for all the personnel leaving to work?!?

Didn't notice any different products from the old store prior to the renovation except that they now carry fresh flowers, and sadly they no longer offer fresh brewed Kona coffee as one of the coffee selections. I like the smaller annex better because of the Kona selection and the home town feel (staff know us regulars by name), but this location is very accessible and pretty friendly too. Lines tend to be longer here at peak times (because of size and proximity to base housing areas, but it's all good. Mahalo for reading my review.

For those that don't like to fight or spend that much time to pump gas at Costco this Hele gas station is a great option though it does require a bit of effort for some I guess lol because at the time for this visit it was 4.37 for cash and 4.42 for credit (that's still a great price!) which is where the 7-Eleven comes in the picture besides the convenience for muchies is where to find some deals on gas. Lovely huge lot with lots of pumps including squeegee to a quick touch up it's a great rest stop for any necessities you may have including having a Starbucks just a few steps away along with parking stalls throughout is always appreciated, no membership is required to take advantage of these perks right here in Kapolei. The Shoppette side of the house is okay, but the gas station is another story!…read more Their pumps do not allow you to select the grade of fuel you need. If you want a certain grade of gas, you have to go to that pump. If you want the pump to be on the proper side of your car, that narrows your choice of line to wait in down to one. One or more of their pumps are often out of order, that makes the wait even longer. And this one is not really AAFES fault, but kind of it is; selfish customers often pump their gas then go indoors to shop while they leave their car at the pump! Come on people, you are not kings and queens. Get with the program. Show a little respect for your fellow man! AAFES, you need to at least try to police this! My last and biggest complaint about the AMR Shoppette Gas Station is the receipt printers on the pumps have been broken for YEARS! I've been filling up there for 10 years. I bet the pump hasn't successfully printed my receipt a half-a-dozen times in all those years! "Why do I go there?" you ask. Because us military ID card holders save a few cents per gallon by buying our gas on-base and the AMR Gas Station is the closest one to my home.
