There usually is a line depending on the time of day that you go and the way the lot is structured into the station is a little different however it moves quickly with cars being able to utilize both sides regardless of where their tank is. If you utilize cash or debit you also save by paying around an average of 10 cents less or so per gallon over credit. Located in Ewa Beach Laulani Village Shopping Center I've discovered a few years back it's almost like a hidden secret that no one wants anyone else to know as it's tucked away way back next to City Mill. Be mindful if it's your first time as there is a single line to the pumps that you need to drive to the left of the station which can get long from what I've heard though I've never had that issue it's just hard to see if the farthest pump is open if you don't keep an eye out of a vehicle leaving is your only indication. On this day unleaded was 5.05 for payments by credit and 4.95 for cash and and with every $100 you spend at Safeway you earn one reward in which you can redeem for $.10 off a gallon and if you check on specials or promotions they do have 2X up to 5X points. I've passed by this fuel station many times and was finally able to try it out. There was a very short wait, this day; compared to lines I've seen in the past. The best part, though, was seeing the price per gallon drop to less than $4 when I entered my Safeway rewards number. I believe it was $3.39!!!!! Crazy! Now I understand why there's usually a line. I've only put gas at the pump, and never gone in the convenience store. Went on 01/11/2024 and gas was $4.29 for the 92, and it's been steady at that price for a while. I love that when you shop at Safeway you get gas rewards. Sometimes there's a long line, but that wait isn't too bad. The employees that work in the gas station store are always friendly and nice. The design of the entrance is the absolute worst Cars line up by City Mill to turn left, only to have impatient cars go around and cut in line by turning right into the line. I can make it. It's a gas station so what can I possibly write? Well located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center the actual entrance is from Palau Street. During busy hours (like rush hour), I see some cars block the intersection waiting for a pump. Just a head up people that some vehicles are going straight to pull in to housing and some just want to turn into the shopping center to get a parking space. Either way don't block the intersection. There's around 14 pumps and they all seems to work every time I'm there. That's because I was at pump 14 last time and walked to the cashier for prepaid gas. Remember gas is 10 cents cheaper per gallon if you pay with cash. Hey I'm still paying for my dinner at Tamorima. I'll ask if you read that review later. Anyway you can grab some snacks here and the place is pretty clean. If you have to use the restroom, you don't have to hold your breath. Just make sure your there before me, anyway. Lastly remember to use your Safeway club card if you have any for points you can use towards gas. Overall three stars. The enterance into the place could be better laid out. Dang, I wish I got his name. But I was on pump 11 and was having some issues with the machine. This is my first time having any issues. Anyway, luckily there's a HELP button on the machine. Right away, the young attendee came out and was friendly and helped me... he left and still dang machine was giving me issues so I pressed the HELP button and he came out quickly and apologized when it wasn't even his fault. Plenty of gas pumps if you are in need of gas. Long hoses can reach even if you're gas tank is on the other side of the pump. Competitive pricing and easy in/out. Close to home and shopping. Love that they sometimes have some personnel directing traffic especially during rush hours. There is a small convenience store for soda, liquor, chips and other snacks on the go. I never thought I'd get road rage at a gas station but this place, let me tell you. During peak hours people tend to form a line and wait even though there are pumps open. They either: A. Do not see the open pumps, even though I can and I'm behind them... B. Think the pump will not reach the opposite side of their car - which it WILL. I always do it and I drive a large SUV; I've seen people in bigger trucks do it. Yes I've been that jerk and went around 3 cars before, impatient? Maybe. Located in the Laulani Village Shopping center on Keaunui Drive... not by Safeway but on the OPPOSITE end of the center. The station is clean with LOTS of gas pumps but the set up is a little frustrating. Because a single line is formed you can't really see the pumps that are available. ALL pumps have long hoses to accommodate any vehicle but you may encounter drivers that prefer to drive up to the pump in which their gas tank is located even tho they'll be several pumps available. NOTE: During peak hours the line will almost back up unto Keaunui Drive. Like most gas stations there is a little convenience store with snacks and drinks. You can also earn rewards with your Safeway card BUT make sure it's linked cause I swear I earn points in the store and as much times as I pump gas at the station I have ZERO points *smh* Despite these minor issues, you can't beat the price at the pump... about the same and sometimes a couple of cents cheaper than Costco. This Gas station is great . They almost always Price Match Costco and they have lots of pumps as well. The station also has a small convenience store for all your needs. Station also offers water and air pump if your car needs any of those services. Only down side is that the line can get pretty long and it causes people to bicker a lot ! The station also works with safeway fuel reward points. So basically the way it works is; once you spend $100 at Safeway you get 1 fuel reward point. This point can be used at the pump to take off 10 cents per gallon. From my understanding when the attendant explained it to me. Apparently he's been there since opening. There's a convenient store that can pick up some snacks for the beach or coffee fix before you go to work. I love coming here for gas...besides, it's close to home. Located in the Laulani Shopping Center, it's location is convenient. There's Safeway, Ross, McDonald's & other restaurants near by. If you pay with cash, it's you get $.10 off and if you have the Safeway card with they can deduct off up to $.60 off. What irks me to no end is when some cars wait for the gas pump on the side of their gas cap! Every gas pump can be used from either side since they have extended hoses! I definitely appreciate this station being so close to home. I use it ONLY if I have Safeway Gas Rewards and can use my debit card. Otherwise, I choose Costco. I wish they had longer hours, but beggars can't be choosers! I've only had an issue once with this station. It was later at night and the majority of the pumps said "update in progress" and would not let anyone pump. Needless to say, we were all playing musical pumps. It was kind of tricky but eventually we all either found a working pump or the pumps had "updated" themselves. I have never had any contact with the staff, so I can't comment on that. I went there a few weeks ago to fill up my SUV. The pump was so slow it took me over 30 min to pump my gas. And the amount came to 20 gallons. I have never put in 20 gallons for the three years I have owned the car. Even with the gas light on it's never over 18 gallons. I had a quarter tank going in and it came to a slow 20 gallons. This gas station is located in Ewa Beach at the Laulani Village shopping center, at the City Mill side. During peak hours, the line will back up to the driveway leading up to City Mill from Keaunui Drive. It gets to be quite a cluster, when you have cars merging from two directions trying to get to the gas station. Sometimes, there will be an attendant that will guide the cars to the open pumps to help increase efficiency. One of the biggest peeves, is that the drivers/customers are very particular about which side of the pump to fill up from. This gas station has the long hoses (like Costco) so you can fill up on the other side of the car if your fuel door isn't on the side of the pump. Sometimes, because people don't go to the other pumps, the long line doesn't move as quickly as it could. The Safeway gas station is located in an area that's convenient for most of the residents who live on that side. Price of gas is one of the most competitive rates on the island - as long as you pay cash by going to the little store there, or if you use your debit card or Safeway gift card. The cash price for the gas is 10 cents cheaper than the rate you pay when you charge by card. It is comparable to what you would pay at Costco. It's just not worth it to drive 7 miles each way to save pennies/gallon. The pump is a little slower than Costco's, but works just fine. Probably some of the best gas prices around especially if you pay with cash or debit card however the traffic flow into this gas station is a nightmare Safeway really needs to look at this it causes gridlock entering the shopping center parking lot and it times out to the main road there's also a ton of impatient people who try to go around the line. Ok, first off it is extremely convenient to have this gas station here. Its clean and the multiple gas pumps helps service at least 16 customers at a time, the employees are nice as well.... however it gets so backed up when no one is monitoring the gas line. There has been multiple times that we go and see empty gas pumps but the cars in line don't see it so they wait and it creates a long line. Yikes.
