Wasted $5775 on Texas Criminal Defense Group who didn't answer the phone, email or text to help me with my misdemeanor case and never even met in person. They have a 'closer" phone person who acts like a used car salesman to get your money and signature and who makes you feel that they will solve all your problems. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once they have your money, you will never hear from them in a meaningful way again. Only emails about court dates[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They won't even talk to you in court because the person you worked with won't be there and the replacement person will be covering a crowd of other people. They are feeding off of your ignorance with the legal process and from the bottom of my heart keep shopping around -- there are real attorneys out there that will be seriously take your hand and help you. Just not a good experience so far. I don't know how Google has all five star reviews, but the reviews I'm reading here on yelp mirror more of what I'm experiencing. I'm facing felony DWI three charges in Johnson which means if this isn't resolved then I will serve prison time. I had a seizure while driving and was arrested for DWI. I have so much medical evidence against intoxication, in addition that I was given ALL my driving privileges back by the Texas Department of Public Safety six months ago. Like I said, I'm not giving up hope and I really do believe Texas Criminal Defense Group will come through with dismissal or not guilty. Waisted $6000 On an attorney who couldn't handle a misdemeanor case and who I never even got a chance to meet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They Sweet-Talked me for the first 2months then left me out to dry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They strongly Urged me to take the first plea deal the state offered which was a ridiculous list of restrictions and requirements that I refused to take. Ended up pleading guilty and got close to no help from my attorney. Attorney Didn't even show up to my court hearings. This was my first case and they handed it TERRIBLY. I felt so bamboozled after seeing how much of a scam Texas Criminal Defense Group is never again. I'm not sure I could give even one star. Their motto is not to plea but in 99% of the cases it's exactly what they do so people still end up with a criminal record. The costs are outrageous. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can NEVER reach an attorney.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The attorney you think you have is not ever the one who shows up at court with you and knows very little if anything about your case. In addition they simply tell you to show up and they will find you but it is never on time and 9 times out of 10 you've never met them. At least 3/4 of their staff are not paralegals nor do they have educational legal experience. Even the woman in charge of the offices does not have those qualifications. I have not been in trouble but if I ever was this is the last firm I would use. Be very careful. Financially, legally, and mentally it is not worth it I absolutely promise you. I'm surprised some of the attorneys still have a bar license. read more
