Based on my experience I would recommend the Moster Law Firm for several reasons. 1. The consultation was free for 1 hr . Other law firms wanted $200 or more for a 30min - 1hr consult. 2. I spoke with Mr. Monster himself not an associate or legal assistant. 3. He was very honest. He told me I definitely have a case but it would cost more to hire his firm than the settlement I would get. 4. He told me about online forms and deadlines I could file myself to stay cost effective & still get results. However, if I can save someone from wasting their money in time, it will be worth it. I have been dealing with this law firm now for two years having to continuously follow up to get what I paid for only to be billed two years after the situation for getting an email. Imy case has also been dragged and I am being billed for things and not b being heard when requesting a meeting with everyone. I am nearly 6k in billing with no results to speak of . I became a client of the Moster Law Firm on December 21, 2023, after being taken advantage of by a contractor. I initially paid a fee of $3,000.00 at 9:47AM. Charles Moster, the lawyer I consulted with, referred me to Matthew (Matt) Burr, an associate in the firm who would handle most of my case. Matt assured me that we could quickly resolve the issue since I had already sent a demand letter and provided extensive documentation. On December 28, 2023, I had my first call with Matt Burr, which lasted around 20 minutes. We discussed the details of the case. On January 2, 2024, I received my first invoice (Invoice #7487) charging me $925.00 for the phone call, a follow-up email, and a review of the documentation I had already provided. Matt Burr sent me the first draft of the lawsuit on January 16, 2024, at 5:00pm. He asked me to review it for any corrections, changes, additions, or new developments from the defendant. On January 19, 2024, I responded to the email, comparing the draft to the documentation I had provided and ensuring the accuracy of the petition. I also asked Matt to provide specific details on how he calculated the figures and shared an excel spreadsheet with all the costs we had incurred so far, including voicemails from a debt collection company hired by the defendant. On January 26, 2024, I sent Matt Burr an updated email, expressing my concern about not receiving an update and requesting him to include the debt collection company in the petition, along with updated figures for another company we had to hire to fix parts of our home. Matt Burr responded on the same day, assuring me that he would revise the petition accordingly. However, I did not receive the update until February 13, 2024, after receiving invoice #7678 dated 2-1-2024. According to the invoice, there was a conference call with Charles Moster on January 9th regarding my case, which cost $90.00. The petition was drafted on January 10th for $950.00, and a review of the drafted petition took place on January 11th for $45.00. A revised draft was made on January 12th for $1,075.00, and another conference call was held on January 24th for $45.00, bringing the total cost to $2,205.00. However, I only had $2,075.00 left on my retaining, so my out-of-pocket cost was $130.00. I contacted the firm through the Clio app and sent an email on February 6, 2024, requesting immediate contact. Despite trying to schedule meetings with Charles Moster through Zandra Quezada, I did not receive a call on Monday, February 12, 2024. I sent another email on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, and was informed that the next available date was Thursday, February 15, 2024. After expressing my unavailability, another date was offered on Friday, February 16th. I declined and suggested calling on Monday instead. However, I was informed that the firm would be closed for President's Day. I asked for a different time but was told that Mr. Moster was not available before 11am. I requested an exception but was advised to email him for a response if I couldn't meet during those times. On February 16th, I emphasized the importance of discussing the case and expressed my inability to accommodate the scheduled times. However, the meeting with Charles Moster was not arranged until February 27, 2024, at 10:00am, which was three weeks after I raised concerns about my January 2024 billing. Along with the ongoing communication with the Administrative Assistant, I sent an email on February 24, 2024, at 2:00am, to Charles Moster, Zandra Quezada, and Matt Burr, expressing my frustration regarding the lack of communication, the utilization of the $3,000 retainer, and the fact that the filing had not yet taken place. I also mentioned that due to the statute of limitations, the case needed to be filed before March 15, 2024, as I had already mentioned during our initial consultation. Charles Moster responded to the email, apologizing for the situation and acknowledging their busyness as no excuse. He assured me that he would provide all the necessary information and shared his personal phone number to prevent such incidents in the future, on the condition that I continued working with them. In response to his message, I paid our outstanding bill on February 27, 2024, in order to continue our collaboration with the firm. I had a work meeting that went longer than expected on the day of our scheduled call. So, I had to email Zandra and Charles to let them know that I needed to reschedule. Mr. Moster emailed me back and said he had set aside time for my case and reviewed all the correspondence. He mentioned that I needed to wait for a response from the defendants and acknowledged my concerns about the retainer. He also clarified that there was a misunderstanding about litigating the case. I would not recommend that you engage with this firm. I contacted them about a potential lawsuit that I wanted to get started as soon as possible. They asked that I send them a great deal of information, which I did, and they set a phone appointment with me 3 weeks in the future. They called one hour before the meeting was to begin and told me they Mr. Moser was detained on another matter and would have to reschedule. He did not have an opening for another 4 weeks. Do not fall for the "free consultation" solicitation that they use on the website. They will delay and then delay. They may get to you if their commercial business is slow. I called this morning to advise I would be accepting Miguel Gomez for his services to deal with a solar issue and didn't have a great experience with the staff. The receptionist sent some forms to be completed and they never showed up in my email. It's crazy because no one else has an issue emailing me and I am far "computer challenged." I just got off the phone with the 3rd cancellation for a consultation. I initially called Moster on Jan. 16th because a contractor breached a kitchen remodeling contract to make it accessible for my son in a wheelchair. I have not had a sink for 5 months. I was advised to get a lawyer before I did anything further to finish the kitchen. It took two days to get a response from the initial request. I provided all the requested information. The soonest I could then get a consultation was one week out. Then an hour before the scheduled meeting, I got a call that they had a more pressing deadline. I asked if I could talk to someone else and they said, "No, only Mr. Moster could provide the consultation." We rescheduled for a week later. A half hour before the re-scheduled call, I got another call from the admin. saying something more important came up and it had to be rescheduled. Today, at the scheduled time, I'm sure you can guess what happened. Yes, a more pressing deadline came up for Mr. Moster. I didn't bother to reschedule again. I don't know how to look at this any other way than to conclude that my case isn't important to Moster Law Firm. The admin also said, the deadline was much more important than a free consultation. I bet the admin and Mr. Moster go home each day to a house with a kitchen sink, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and even countertops. Those of us who aren't so fortunate and have been taken advantage of by a company with great reviews apparently aren't as valuable in their eyes. Not one to review, but this is too much. Hopefully i can help at least one person. Due your due diligence, and don't fall for the good reviews like i did. Instead of a law firm helping you and caring about their clients, They want to lock you in first, then keep sending you new invoices and charge you whatever they want! Unbelievable! I should have known when a law firm has 4-5 different locations, that they are all about quantity and how much money they can bring in. Could care less about there clients. Please look for a good, respected lawyer that actually has just one location and can meet you face to face and not do everything over the phone and try to rip you off any way possible.
