They take you on actual roads and test you on every scenario. You learn valuable road skills through their mock tests. I was a total beginner. I had no idea how to drive. They guide you 100% through every step. They explain every road sign (even the rare/uncommon ones). Whether you're somewhat experienced or a complete beginner, First Gear is a great school. They teach you a "defensive" driving style in order to look out for other driver's mistakes and act accordingly.

The teaching in this school is extensive with road rules, moving your vehicle in tight places, and my son can parallel park, easily. The key for parents to understand, is you must allow your child to drive and drive often with you - highways and all to be safe in SA. This is an international city with a lot of traffic.
