Scheduler doesn't explain charges, surprise bills show up weeks after visits of $120.00, just wondering how she charged me the initial amount I paid for, after the office visit for the ankle brace. I asked her how much it will be after my insurance coverage? She said $15, so I agreed. Just received the bill, 3 weeks later! I was scammed twice to buy a product they probably get for pennies. Talked to their person in charge of billing, she gave me a lesson, that it's my job to know what my policy covers. Okay! I called my insurance company, they were shocked that this office didn't bother to insurance verify. More over, they never even submitted a claim for the item. Not for this brace, not even for the boot I bought in January after my ankle was broken. I paid the amount I was told in the office, plus the "surprise" $121 emailed bill weeks after, that demands an online payment, with zero explanation. According to my insurance company, neither of these items were submitted for claims! Regardless if my policy covers the boot or the brace, they should have been submitted, AND explained to me if they weren't covered, given me a total prices of the cost to me! I would avoid this office for fraud! Are they just keeping the difference for profit, but lie of the first amount you make you pay! Of course it's nonrefundable, even though still in a box, because I bought it for my upcoming overseas vacation. $300 for an elastic brace and a boot! Everyone else can do better outside of this office! One of the x-ray technicians took 6 x-rays of my leg. Came into the waiting room, said oh, we need to take a few more x-rays. I forced the reason out of her, she said she took them of my leg, not the broken ankle! Obviously couldn't be bothered to look at my file to find out why was I even there in this office! 6 more x-rays it is. Never an admission of screw up, forget a simple sorry. Not a word. I skipped several "suggested" visits, because all we did was kept looking at my x-rays, kept watching my ankle heal. Like watching grass grow, for $60 a pop (my copay). Stayed in a boot, went for visit once every, or every other month. No, I did not feel cared for, but very much taken advantage of! My first and last visit ever in this office. I expect a call to change my review.

I was catfished at my appointment when the doctor who walked in looked (decades) older than the doctor pictured on the website. I came for an acute problem and I felt like the doctor didn't listen to me. He "educated" me by pointing at pictures in a laminated book. He must really like to educate because he went through the book with me on each of my visits. He kept recommending NSAIDs without seeming to want to get to the root of my problem. He was over 30 minutes late to my appointment (I've waited longer for other providers), but it was the way in which he handled the appointment that rubbed me the wrong way; he made my time feel rushed and blamed his need to rush on the fact that his front desk doesn't like when he runs behind. He seemed flustered moving between exam rooms to see patients, saying that he'd be back to answer questions, but never returning to the exam room. There was also a billing issue that took several months to resolve. This issue would not have occurred if they verified my insurance, like I advised. The billing issue was resolved after diligent follow up, otherwise I'm not sure if I would have been refunded. Needless to say, the time spent at his office was a complete waste and my issue was not addressed to my satisfaction. I have since gone elsewhere for a second opinion and am doing so much better and way more satisfied with the level of care and attentiveness.

Procedure done late February 2024, follow up in Indiana March 2024 with a good podiatrist who said nail will not grow back if medicine leaked into the back bed of the nail, and I went to Dr. Casteel April 11, 2024 I went back to show her how botched the nail was and wanted to find out if my nail was going to grow or not. The doctor patronized me and asked me with negative nonverbal facial, neck and body expressions; "Why did you come here today?" I replied, "I want to find out if my toenail is going to grow back or not?" I did not get an answer because she kept arguing with me that she did not touch the back section of my toenail. But then I asked her, "Then, why when you were doing the procedure in February, and I kept telling you it hurt, you said that you weren't even touching it. The fact was, That the doctor pulled the skin that attaches the nail from the side (which should have been done) AND the skin that attached the nail bed to the back of the toenail bed under the skin (SHOULD NOT have been done---and thats what I said hurt when doc was doing the procedure.) She argued with me then, patronized me, was condescending and very very rude! She argued again today and denied that she ever touched anything in the back. But still could not answer why I had pain in that back section. Ironically, there was a sign in the doctor's office that read: "The success of your procedure relies on who is the DOCTOR." I told her that the success relies on the doctor LISTENING to her patients." Not arguing. STAY AWAY!

I was convinced I had a heel fracture (been there, done that, and the reason I already owned the scooter the boot LoL). I was in so much pain I couldn't put weight on my right foot. Honestly, finding a podiatrist was my last resort, fearing the worst. I found Dr. Khan and Lonestar Podiatry and they got me in same day. After a thorough exam, he diagnosed me with Plantar Fasciitis.. sounded like a Harry Potter spell to me. He gave me a steroid shot in my heel and I got 90% pain relief on the spot! Dr. Khan also gave me easy stretching instructions and a PT prescription to help my heel heal. Six weeks later, I'm nearly back to my normal routine, I feel like this whole thing is manageable. Shoutout to the amazing front desk team, too--friendly, efficient, and total pros when it comes to booking, insurance, and not judging you for limping in like a character from Pirates of the Caribbean. Dr. Sherman Podiatrist in Dallas was recommended to me. I visited his office yesterday with a…read moreproblem which began several months back I stepped on a piece of glass & tried everything to find the piece left behind that was causing me so much trouble. Dr. Sherman took X-rays studied my foot & decided I had created scare tissue which had become so painful! He is a super kind man with vast knowledge expertise. He used a kneading wand to break up the area, next he used a laser on the area. He was very patient allowing me to stand & determine where I felt pain. Next, he used the laser until it was nearly gone. Lastly, he gave me a little cortisone in the area. I immediately felt relief! I am not limping any longer!!! If he would have seen any left over fragments of glass I would have wanted him to open the area up feeling very confident in his skill. I will definitely be back to see him if I need a podiatrist again. Oh while I was there he used his laser on a injury I had on my thumb. He's a wonderful man!
